OLIVIA’S POV

Lucien was leaving. He was really leaving me behind to be here with Damon.

My breath hitched as I watched him walk away, his broad shoulders tense, his strides full of purpose—full of pain. I could feel it, radiating off him like a storm waiting to break. My heart pounded in my chest, my legs trembling as I took a step forward, instinctively reaching out for him.

I had to stop him.

I had to explain to him that whatever he thinks happened between Damon and me last night was caused by loneliness.

I surged forward, but before I could take another step, a strong hand wrapped around my arm, yanking me back with force.

“Let me go!” I hissed, twisting against the grip, my voice filled with desperation.

Damon.

He held me effortlessly, his fingers firm yet unbothered, as if my struggle meant nothing to him. His golden eyes gleamed with something unreadable, something sharp that sliced into me like a dagger.

“There’s no need to run after him,” he said, his voice infuriatingly

DAMON’S POVThe evening air was thick with tension, the weight of everything that had transpired pressing down on me like a boulder. I could still hear Olivia’s soft cries in the distance, muffled but persistent, curling through the air like a ghost refusing to leave. But I didn’t turn around. Not yet. I made my way toward Daiki, his expression neutral, but I could tell by the way his arms were crossed and the way his jaw tightened that he had questions. And I knew exactly what they were. The moment I stepped beside him, he wasted no time.“How did you know?” he asked, his voice low but firm.I let out a slow breath, glancing around to ensure no one was too close before answering. “Because I know Alaric.”Daiki narrowed his eyes. “And that means?” I turned my gaze to him, watching the way his brows furrowed, the way his stance shifted slightly—he was skeptical, and I didn’t blame him. “Alaric doesn’t like his operations to be messy,” I said, tucking my hands into my pockets. “He d

Three years of shared nights, of whispered secrets, of tangled sheets, soft gasps in the dark and loud moans in the kitchen. And now, after just four months apart, another man had touched her. Another man had claimed her. I shook my head, trying to push the thought away. It didn’t matter. It shouldn’t matter. Olivia's Pov: I barely had time to brace for it before his fist nearly snapped my neck in two with a gut-wrenching blow as I fell hard to the ground, tears welling on my face. “You stupid bitch!", he yelled, his face contorted with rage. He was in one of his moods again, the occasional periods where his wolf starts to lose control and he tears up anything in his way, more than often, I'm usually the one in the way of his tantrums. My hands shook violently as the porcelain cup in my hands hit the ground, shattering to pieces in an echoing screech. At the sound, Lucien lunged for me, his foot stamping hard at my ribs knocking the air out of me. I gasped as I struggled to breathe, my small hands tightening around my chest, but he wasn't done. He grabbed me from the marble floor, throwing me on top of the dining table, his fists balled, eyebrows scrunched in seething anger. Each blow punctuated his lupine rage; he wasn't going to stop; he just kept hitting me across the face

Damon's Pov: I hate the rain, I thought as I glared out at the rain-soaked trees, droplets of water sliding down the window pane like tears. I turned away from the downpour seeking something to distract myself with, but the cloud outside seemed to have dampened my mind as memories came rushing down to me. Laughter, music, champagne toasts. The Wolvenstar family preferred to live within nature itself. Thus, we lived in a mansion on the outskirts of a forest. That way, whenever we shifted we could run straight into the forest, our real home. Today was the day my eldest brother, Mark, had bonded; he laughed loudly at the head of the table as his mate, Charlotte, now Wolvenstar, smiled timidly as she sat on his lap. Poor girl, my brother would be the death of her soon enough. The house was two hundred years old, a legacy built on sugar and spices; their family was one of the elite of the Werewolves in New Orleans high society; they were happy , everyone feasting, clinking glas

Olivia's Pov: Two months. I had been divorced and for the first time in ages, I felt young and I took full advantage of it, I spent my time clubbing at night and painting at my gallery by day transferring my feelings onto canvas including my recent one being that of a dark haired Lycan, a gash tearing across one of his eyes. Those were things that I didn't really had the time to do when I was with Lucien, he was an uptight guy who didn't really fancy the idea of his mate running around all over New Orleans. He was quite paranoid for a Lycan. I didn't really get him, sometimes he was a sweet guy, dolling me up with presents, taking me out to see a movie once in a while, you would think he was a nearly perfect husband, but then there were the other times. The times when he would lose control to his wolf, werewolves were supposed to control their wolves to their will, not the other way around, it wasn't exactly an easy thing to do, it had took me five years to take full control o

Olivia's pov: The bonding itself was about to begin, although the entire ceremony traditionally starts with a member of each of the nine aristocraté families blessing the Werewolf community for the coming days till the next ceremony. It was an ancient rite that had endured till now. That was the boring part though, the interesting part was about to begin as murmurs and whispers amongst the crowd grew louder. “I bet a hundred dollars Amelia Blackwater would bond with Diego Porter", Ben grinned. " Wait”, I laughed," people bet over this? “ " It raises the stakes “, he said. His face became serious." I bet you would bond tonight “. I rolled my eyes as he held my face in his hands. " The stakes are against you, darling," he said, smiling again, “but please don't make me lose a thousand dollars," he pleaded. “A thousand !", I exclaimed as I glared at him, “i can't believe you just threw away a thousand bucks, you idiot". OLIVIA’s POVThe air still buzzed with tension as I stumbled away from the podium. My chest heaved, my legs wobbly from the lingering effects of the wolfsbane. I barely registered the gasps and murmurs around me. All I could think about was them. Lucien. The Demon Alpha.I had bonded with two mates. Two powerful mates. My palms grew clammy, and I clutched at the nearest pillar for support. The weight of their gazes bore into me—Lucien’s a storm of rage and resentment, while the Demon Alpha’s was cold, calculated, and terrifying possessive. Before I could steady my breath, the Demon Alpha stepped forward. His towering frame sliced through the crowd like a blade, and his voice, smooth yet commanding, cut through the whispers. “She is mine.”The words echoed in the hall, silencing every conversation. My heart stopped. Lucien surged forward, his growl reverberating through the room. “No. She’s mine.”I flinched as the tension crackled between them. Their energy filled the space, suffoc

His steely gray eyes flicked from Lucien to the Demon Alpha before finally settling on me.“Olivia,” he drawled, his lips curling in disdain. “I didn’t think it was possible for you to disgrace this family further, but I see I underestimated you.”I froze under his gaze, his words striking like a whip.“Father,” I began, trying to steady my voice, “I didn’t—”“Didn’t what?” he interrupted sharply. “You think I don’t know? LUCIEN’S POVThe noon air was sharp against my skin, biting, relentless. But I welcomed the sting. Anything to distract me from the fury clawing its way through my chest.I gripped the stone railing of the balcony, my knuckles whitening as I stared out into the vast stretch of land beyond Blackbeard Pack. The sky was dull, heavy with thick clouds that threatened a storm. Fitting. Because inside me, a storm was already raging. Zephyr, my Lycan, was restless. It paced in my mind, snarling, barely contained beneath my skin. The beast had been pushing against the edges of my control since I stepped into this cursed castle, and after what had just happened with Damien, it was closer to breaking free than ever.I exhaled sharply, trying to steady myself.Damien knew something. He always did. He was too calm, too composed. And now, after all that talk of Olivia being in danger, he was suddenly claiming she was safe? What did he mean by that? Did he know who was going to attack? It didn’t s

DAMON’S POVThe grand hall was filled with a heavy silence after Olivia’s question, her wide eyes darting between us, searching for answers we weren’t willing to give. She wanted to know why she was here, why I had taken her, why no one would explain anything.Too bad for her.I leaned back against the edge of the table, watching her with an impassive stare, arms crossed over my chest. The truth she wanted so desperately would never pass my lips. I wasn’t about to expose my brother’s existence, not when I had spent years ensuring the world believed he was dead.Daiki shifted beside me, shooting me a questioning glance, as if asking if I was really going to ignore her completely. I was, but I didn’t have to. Because the moment Olivia opened her mouth to demand answers again, a voice shattered through the hall.“Olivia!”The raw desperation in that voice made my jaw twitch.Lucien.The sound of his boots pounding against the floor echoed through the castle as he ran toward the room, hi

  • The Luna's Tattoos   Chapter 68: The Edge of Control

LUCIEN’S POVThe road stretched endlessly before me, the pale morning light glinting off the damp asphalt. My hands gripped the steering wheel so tightly that my knuckles were white. My heart raced, pounding against my ribs like a frantic drumbeat, and the heavy weight in my chest made it hard to breathe. Olivia’s voice from her voicemail echoed in my head, trembling and full of fear.Damon is taking me somewhere. He said I’m not safe…please come find me. Every word replayed like a haunting melody, twisting the knife deeper into my gut. My mate—my Olivia—was in danger, and I hadn’t been there to protect her. The thought alone made my stomach churn. I pushed the gas pedal harder, the car surging forward. Behind me, Ben and Aslaug followed in their own vehicle, their headlights a constant reminder of the weight of this mission. The dream I’d had earlier still lingered, vivid and suffocating. In it, I’d seen her face—bloodied, she was being abducted. I had jolted awake, drenched in swe

  • The Luna's Tattoos   Chapter 67: A Snitch in Our Midst

ALARIC’S POVThe morning light bled through the cracks in the heavy curtains of my office, casting faint golden streaks against the stone walls. The room smelled of cedarwood and leather, a scent I had come to associate with both comfort and control. I leaned back in the worn leather chair, shirtless, my bare chest exposed to the cool air. My eyes were fixed on the small locket I held in my hands, its delicate chain looped around my fingers. The locket was old, tarnished with age, but the image inside was as sharp as the day it had been placed there. My parents—stoic and proud—stood side by side, their eyes carrying the weight of the world, just as mine did now. I wondered if they’d be proud of the man I had become or disgusted by the blood that now stained my hands. I closed my eyes, running my thumb over the locket’s edge. For years, I had built this empire, piece by piece, clawing my way out of obscurity and into power. I had lived in the shadows, orchestrating chaos from afar, m

DAMON’S POVThe tension in the car was suffocating.Olivia sat beside me, her arms crossed tightly over her chest, her breathing uneven. She hadn’t spoken since I took her phone and switched it off, and I could feel her eyes boring into me. Her silence wasn’t out of respect—it was fear, and that fear clung to the air like a thick mist. I could sense it, hear it in the faint tremble of her breath, and though I’d never admit it out loud, it weighed on me. Lucien’s name flashed on my phone screen again, breaking the quiet. I gritted my teeth and declined the call. Again. The fifth time in less than ten minutes. The guy was relentless.“What are you doing?” Olivia finally asked, her voice cracking. I didn’t respond. Instead, I declined Lucien’s call one more time and then turned my phone off, tossing it into the dashboard.“Why are you doing this?” she asked again, louder this time. “Why won’t you let me talk to him?”I shot her a quick look but kept my hands steady on the wheel. “Beca

BEN’S POVThe voicemail had shaken me to my core.Olivia’s voice—usually so steady, so confident—had cracked with fear, each word trembling with desperation. Even now, standing in Lucien’s living room with Aslaug by my side, the memory of her voice haunted me.“Ben, it’s me,” she had said, the urgency in her time chilling. “Damon is taking me somewhere. He says I’m not safe here, but he won’t tell me why. I’m scared, and I don’t know what to do. Please, come find me.” My best friend was in danger. And I wasn’t there for her. I had failed her once last night when I cut our call short. My mate’s soft laugh in the background had reminded me how late it was, how Olivia was safe with Damon. I hadn’t even let her state her reason for calling before I told her I’d call her back later. Now, my heart twisted with guilt at the thought of how alone she must have felt. Lucien stood by the window, his phone pressed to his ear, his expression thunderous. I could feel the weight of his emotions i
