Chapter 27
Frederick Claw ~
…..11 HOURS EARLIER…
It has been a hundred and twelve years in our time since Sofia, Elena and Ryan left this world for the human world. Ever since they left, a lot of things have changed here in the supernatural world. We were able to rebuild the Royal coven that was destroyed after the whole ‘mutant lycan army’ experience and did a lot in the uniting of the supernatural creatures from all over the world if ever Cassius sends any of his minions or dares to show his face here again.
We stand against him alone but we have greater odds if we are fighting as one. Every single day that passes I regret ever bringing Cassius to this world.
Chapter 28Alessia Claw ~“You mean to say that the guardians of the Tree of Magic are here in the coven?” I asked with widened eyes fixed at the maiden who just made me aware of the fact that Lora and Lara, The Divine Sisters are here to see Frederick.“Yes! They requested an audience with your brother, the king and he commanded that they be let in and welcomed.” the maiden said standing with her face bowed to the earth.“Where are they all now?” I asked as I closed all the spell-books that surrounded me and rising to my feet.“Last I saw, they were in the throne room anticipating the king’s arrival.” The maiden added.“You are dismissed!” I sent the maiden away and headed out to my chambers in the coven heading straight for the throne room. The Tree of Magic is back.It must be!That is the only thing that beguiles a visit from The Divine Sisters. Hurrie
Chapter 29Cassius Rein ~“Keep your eyes peeled. The Tree of Magic should be right below this hill.” I said coming out of the portal. “Oh no! Not them again! How could they have known that I was coming?” I exclaimed at the sight of the multitude of vampyres, witches, warlocks and so many other creatures that surrounded the perimeter of the tree with Frederick Claw, their king a few meters away from the tree’s only flower.“Change of plans! Now, the mission is to get to the tree of magic and get rid of the king, permanently!” I added turning to the alphas. While these lycans deal with Frederick, I will have enough time to cast a spell that will allow me to take that flower of the tree without having to pay any damn price for it. If I don’t, the trybrid child would be the least of my worries.“As you wish!” the lycan alphas replied jointly with a bow.“They may have the advanta
Chapter 30Frederick Claw ~“Get out of my way!” Thomas said totally ignoring my questions still walking closer.“Why on earth will you want to do this? I won’t lie to you but at this point in time, I don’t think that I have ever hated someone to the extent to which I hate you! Are you conversant with all what you have put a lot of these creatures through just because of your thirst and hunger for magical power?” I asked this time stretching out the lycan slayer to his direction for him to know that he must give me an answer.“Get out of my way!!” he said this time with more force in his words.“No! you’re going to answer me and you're going to answer me now!!! I said in anger as I transformed into my vampire form.By now, Cassius was a few places away from my sword.“You had your chance!” he said before waving me off into the air telekinetically and with a loud t
Chapter 31Cassius Rein ~Using a spell that makes use of dark magic to take over Fredericks mind and turn him into a puppet just for a very short while, I was able to have him take the flower from the tree and have it over to me. It was clear that when that flower was taken down by any creature, there was no escaping the price to be paid so to avoid such price, I had Frederick take it down for me instead. That way, I get rid of him and get what I went there for.Through the ancient books on the Tree of Magic that I had read, I was made to understand that amongst the price for the flower, the takers soul would be trapped in the underworld for a thousand years if not eternity. It was more of a punishment than a price. What better thing to do than to kill two birds with one stone? I transported myself and the rest surviving lycans who no doubt were of very few numerations back to the entrance of the lycan lands.“Come over here!&r
Chapter 32Cassius Rein ~I stopped the transformation and pushed the beast in me back in. I guess he too is feeling my anger towards this whole spell-thing.“Guards!!!” I called out.If I can’t go to the human world and put an end to that nuisance of a trybrid, surely, my best and strongest warriors vested with some extra abilities, just to make sure they could do it perfectly and without hindrances. I have been watching her for the past decade and if one thing is for sure, for some reason, her powers are dormant. That means by the time that those lycans get to her, she will be as powerless as….well, she will be as powerless as a human.“My Lord!” two guards walked in with bowed heads.“Get me Anthony, leader of the Silver Crest Pack!” I said. “Now!!!” I roared making them exist with bowed heads in a manner most likely driven by fear.So far, Anthony and his pack hav
Chapter 33Alessia Claw ~“Frederick!!!” I ran towards Frederick when I noticed that Cassius was gone and so was the flower he had sought after.Clearly, our plan to put an end to Cassius had failed. As soon as the flower was plucked out of the Tree of Magic, a powerful wave of dark energy ran through this earth and I assume the human world also. With that flower, Cassius could do unspeakable things, things that the elder witches can only but dream of, things that can affect the balance of the human world and ours too, things that could change the fate of supernaturals’ everywhere.I got to where Frederick laid unconscious and held him by his hands trying to use my powers to revive him.It was of no use.Without doubt, whatever happened to him was far beyond his natural healing. My skin made contact with his and his recent memories flashed before my eyes right away. Unfortunately, Frederick was the one who had taken
Chapter 34Alessia Claw ~Fortuitously, I, Hendrix and Frederick’s corpse got off the island right on time to watch it all go poof!“My Lady, they are waiting!” Hendrix said bringing me out of my thoughts. “You can’t keep thinking about this. The people would need a leader while Frederick is gone. I know that by marriage, you are the lycan queen but right now, a part of you belongs here, where it was born, belongs to the dynasty of the deceased king Alaric, your father.”“You share the same blood with Frederick so you are the perfect match for the throne.” Hendrix added looking at me straight in the eyes.“Don’t worry about the throne, Hendrix. I’ll be able to handle things while Frederick is gone but that excludes taking his throne. We may be siblings and share the same blood coursing through our veins but Frederick was the one that was born to be king and not me! I have to respect
Chapter 35Alessia Claw ~Our best chance is breaking into the lycan lands and using Cassius’ doorway. That way, I can get to her and still have my powers to defend her plus that would enable me to bring her home. Although, that would not be easy as it stands because of the fact that even to her, we do not exist. At least not any more.“The first tasks would be to break down that barrier that keeps those lands impenetrable.” I said to the four supernaturals’ that gathered beside me. “I know that we’ve tried using the powers of even the elder practitioners of magic and it was all to no avail but this time, we are going to do what we should have done a long time ago.” I added with all seriousness written on my face.“Surely, you don’t make reference to the…”“Yes! That’s the only way! Only a Galvan of her talent can help us!” I said putting a witch of track. &

Chapter 68Garfield West ~"Be patient! Your time will come." Cassius said before using his left hand to bat Elena to a wall. "In the end, it all leads back to me." Cassius looked Alessia straight in the eyes as he spoke.Elena flew to the hard wall and smashed hard against it. She remained there for a few seconds before she rose up from the ground aiding herself with her hands. Sparks of electricity were visible on her fingertips. He black hair suddenly turned silver and her eyes went solid golden. What's happening to Elena?"I said, STOOPP!!!!" Elena roared before she charged towards Cassius in the blink of an eye and ceased him by the hand pressing hard on it.That was the same hand he had her mother strangled. With so much strength, Cassius hand was getting crushed like it was some cookie and Elena watched his grip on Alessia lessen until his hand was off her."Vampyre ad aulam regis!" Elena said and in a blue cloud of smoke, Ales
Chapter 67Garfield West ~Sofia and Elena followed right behind him. Luckily for them, Cassius wasn't at the other side of the portal. The first thing Elena set eyes on as she raised up her head was her birth-mother, the rightful lycan queen, Alessia Claw Wolfs eyes locked with hers. She instantly bonded with her."Great! Cassius fell for the bait. I'll take care of the watch-wolves. You two get Alessia out of here. We don't have much time before he gets back." Ryan said igniting a sword made of fire in his hand as he walked towards the lycans that were right infront of Alessia and two others.Rather than move or do anything, Elena froze up. She just stood there her eyes not leaving Alessia. Elena was the spitting image of Alessia so their relation was beyond doubts. The woman before he is truely her birth-mother. They were both speechless until Alessia broke the silence."Elena? My daughter??" Tears welled up in Alessia's eyes as she spoke
Chapter 66Garfield West ~It was all happening so fast that I found it hard to believe that it's actually in reality and not just some dream.I, a lycan? It's crazy enough that I am in a whole new world that's different from the one I grew up to know but to add to the batter, how can Sofia and Ryan come to the same conclusion that I am a lycan just because of what I told them? The rapid healing prooved them right. What's happening to me?If there's one thing I'm beginning to put my trust in concerning magic is that the pictue tends to be clearer if you just open your eyes a little more wider and believe what you see. The sooner I believe and get used to things being unbelieveable, the less confusing they'll seem. Althoygh, I have my doubts. This world has an air different from where the one I grew in. Magic must have an influence over everything here."I'm beginning to think this is a bad idea mom. If you say this Cassiu
Chapter 65Sofia Xanders ~Ryan's control over the element of fire gives us the upper foot against the lycan guards. If we happen to encounter Cassius, I'll leave the commander and his skillful vampyre warriors to distract him long enough for us to get Alessia off his clutches. It's been sixteen years since I last got involved with Cassius. I know he must have gotten stronger and more heartless than before. The flames burnt Ryan's body to ash and out of the ashes, Ryan was formed. With the same speed that the flames began regenerating Ryan, they parted till none was left. I meddled with the flames using my witch magic so Ryan could have some decent clothes one when he gets reborn."Perfect.""I don't remember you being this tall." Commander Sam alleged."Finally. I'm big again. Thanks for the clothes Soph." Ryan said checking himself out. "Now that my powers are working fine, let's go rescue Alessia from that abomination.""You can tu
Chapter 64Sofia Xanders ~I may be human but that's not going to stop me from being there for Red... Elena. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE COMMON MAN. Red has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I'm not leaving her in a time she really needs me." "This must be what magic feels like? I can feel the tingly sensation at my fingertips. The blowing air makes everything look different. This would make for a great story." Charlie commented with the portal in front of him."Your turn, your Majesty." The commander reminded.Sam's irises went vampyre blue and his physique became more built."Are you going to go in or do I have to go in first?" Ryan stormed still in the cup in my hands.I walked into the portal with my eyes closed. A rush of power flowed through me as I emerged at the other end.Sixteen years ago, I was forced by circumstances to leave my mate, my beloved home world and my people as well as everything I had
Chapter 63Sofia Xanders ~"Open the barriers!" Samuel ordered with a loud voice when we had walked and are now a few paces from the statue of liberty. "Welcome, your majesty, to Blood Bank Number 20, 896.B."The magical barrier keeping the blood bank under a cloak came down and we continued walking towards the statue."I heard from a very reliable source that before you brought the trybrid child into this world, you had never set foot in it." Samuel pointed out. "If not for the reason of how urgent your mission back home is, I would have loved to show you all around the coven.""Hey, Red's mom, we have to hurry things up some more." Charlie said giving me a gentle tap on the shoulder. "We have no more than forty minutes.""Commander, I acknowledge you generous offer but however, we really need to get to the portal so if you don't mind, skip the whole introduction and just take us to it." I said with a soft tone but at the same time, m
Chapter 62Sofia Xanders ~I looked at Ryan. Even though I was worried that there's a huge possibility this isn't going to work out, I trusted his words. After all, he has been making good use of his time here in the human world well enough to know things about my own people here that I don't. Unlike me who spends every second of being here raising my best-friend's daughter.I nodded my head and changed my negative worries into positive hopes. Ryan must be right."I am here with Ryan McFlame." I shouted out. "I am here with Ryan McFlame! I am here with Ryan McFlame! The last phoenix and I am Sofia Xanders!"I stared at the waters hoping to see someone just as Ryan had said but there was no one. Gar and Charlie kept dashing worried glances at me but I had no words for them."How is she holding up?" I asked turning to Gar."She's freezing. We have to get her out of here to somewhere she won't be so cold." Gar replied adjusting the cloth
Chapter 61Elena Claw Wolfs ~"Is something wrong?" I heard my mom ask with a calm tone."No!" I replied sharply still not wanting to admit my present state of weakness.Sofia must've noticed I am taking to long to cast the spell as I usually would. I closed my eyes tighter and took a deep breath inwards. I snapped a finger against another and when I opened my eyes, I was expecting to be at Charlie's front porch but I wasn't."Just in time." I heard Charlie say resting a duffel bag behind his shoulder. The spell didn't take me to him. Instead, it brought them to me. Charlie and Gar. They were standing in the living room few paces from where we stood in better clothes and a duffel bag in each hand."Since, we're here, I presume it's either you've found what you were looking for and we're here so you can lead us to it or was this unintentional?" Gar asked putting down his duffel bag on the ground and walked up to me with his hands in hi
