I tore off another piece of bread, dipped it in the wonderfully spiced warm pumpkin soup, and stuffed my face, eating as if I hadn't had food in a year. I felt like that, although my hunger seemed only a day away.

"Take it easy, slowly, or you'll choke, Poppy." Sybilla lectured me, although not very seriously, because she was enjoying me judging by the smile that appeared on her face.
