Emily

She was swimming in darkness. She felt pain like she never had before. Not even in all of her trainings. Not in the wreck she had so many years ago. Not in the fight with Susan. Not when she had gotten shot. Nothing has been as bad as this was. How would she ever get out of this mess?

Her only hope now was that someone would find her. They’d surely be looking for her by now. Maybe someone would catch her scent in Nick’s office and figure it out. Her brother.. or Lo… if he even knew. If he even came. Maybe Ellis. He couldn’t scent her being human… but he was one of the keenest people she had ever met. He would figure it out.

She had to stay alive…. The kids needed her. Especially now. There was no way they could stay with Nick after this. But she couldn’t get off the ground. Nick had kicked her so hard so many times. She was sure bones were broken. She might have internal bleeding. And she couldn’t heal because of the limestone he’d given her.

She could just barely see. Ever

Emily Emily tried to move fast but it was literally impossible. The problem was, she couldn’t make any mistakes right now. She took one deep breath… then another… then another. She calmed her breathing as much as she possibly could. And then she started. She got the glass with the little bit of the mixture in the bottom and limped over to the kitchen sink. She poured the rest of the mixture into the water bottle, careful not to inhale any of it.. and careful not to touch it. She then tightened the top back on the water bottle and stuck the whole thing in the waistband of her sweat pants. She hoped to goddess the plastic wouldn’t bust open… She took the glass then and dried it out with a washcloth Nick had brought. The washcloth, that might have small bits of the mixture on it, was discarded. Then.. she slammed the glass against the steel wall, breaking it. Emily went over as quickly as she could muster- which wasn’t very quick at all- and picked up the biggest piece of glas

Emily What. The. Actual. Fuck. How did he get out of his confinement room? Did Nick let him out?? And why was he here now? “Hello Luna.” He said was stalking towards her slowly. “Raleigh? How did you get out of confinement?” She asked him. “Oh you’d be surprised what people can get away with here when everyone else is preoccupied.” He said. “What do you mean preoccupied?” She asked him. He let out a huff. “What do you think?? They’re all looking for you… you don’t look so good Emily. What the fuck did Nick do to you?” He said snarling his nose. “How did you find this place? Did Nick send you??” She asked him. She was trying to keep him talking as he continued walking slowly toward her. He let out a hateful laugh then. “Of course not. Nick would never tell a secret like this to anyone outside his family. But that doesn’t mean others in his family wouldn’t.” He smirked. This was so odd. Every time she had ever been around Raleigh he was completely stoic. Straight and seri

Lorenzo As soon as he’d heard Emily was missing he left his pack and came straight to hers. The entire drive he was losing his mind thinking of all the awful things that could’ve happened to her. Her brother had been frantic enough on the phone that Lorenzo knew he was worried. And that meant this was serious. It was all he could do not to strangle someone as soon as he hung up. He didn’t need to lose anymore chairs so throwing another one was out of the question. But he did turn around and punch the wall so hard a large hole appeared. The walls were made from extremely thick reinforced logs. They were sturdy fuckers. And his hand went straight through it with no problem at all. Except there was a problem. Now he had to fix that shit. Collins had ran into his office and Jarvis was right on her heels. “Goddess.” She said when she saw the huge hole. “We’re gonna have to ramp up the heat.” Lo almost… ALMOST smiled at that. He’d never met a wolf that was bothered by the cold. Thei

Emily. She was still laying on the bed, unable to move. Her pants still off and Raleigh putting his back on when Nick flew through the door. He took one horrified look at Raleigh.. and then one at her….He growled .. a horrible sound as she quickly tried to get her clothes fixed and get up. But he’d already shifted. He bounded across the room in one giant leap. Raleigh didn’t even have time to speak before Nick was on his neck… biting and clawing and twisting. It was like the fight with him and Lo… only Raleigh was still in human form.. and stood no chance whatsoever. Emily began to cry again. She quickly reached under the pillow and got the glass shard sticking into her shirt sleeve. It cut her again. But she didn’t feel it. She was too scared. Raleigh went down in a lump. Nick had taken a chunk out of his neck. He was dead. Raleigh was dead. He’d just been here a second ago… and now he was gone. She let out a whimper… Nick slung his head towards her. If he attacked her now..

Lorenzo He and Alan decided not to say anything to Nick yet. They didn’t want to tip him off and have to do something rash to Emily. Or run away. Instead they went straight to the council. Reymond frowned. “You think Nicklaus did this? Her husband… her mate??” He asked them. Alan and Lo both answered at the same time. “Yes.” Reymond sighed. Then Red asked: “where is Alpha Nick right now?” But no one knew. “Alright. Let’s don’t scare him off though. Let’s search the town hall, Red. And you three.. go over to the pack house and start looking around. See if you can find this safe room. Or Nick. But don’t question him wait til we get there in case he tries to run off.” Reymond said. They nodded. When they entered the house.. Ellis said ..“Come with me a moment.” And he led them into the kitchen. They walked to the back part of the kitchen where the cooking happened and asked s few of the wolves back there to leave them a moment. Once they were gone he turned to Alan and

Lorenzo He jerked awake. The chair he was sitting in and sleeping in and had been in was causing his bones to ache. He’d never been in a hospital as much as he has lately.. hell he may as well pack his bags and move in. The last time he’d been here Emily’s arm and shoulder had been mangled. Silver was coursing through them. And her mind … her mind has been at war with itself. That’s why she hadn’t been waking up. Because when she did…. She would have to face that her best friend had been shot. But this time? This time it wasn’t her mind she was warring. It was the entire world. Her body was so crumpled and damaged that he didn’t know if she was even there mentally. And he was scared to death. When they had opened that door to the safe room, the sight before them caused the oxygen to leave his body. He had physically not been able to stand. His legs gave out … he had to grab the wall to hold himself upright. He couldn’t comprehend what he was seeing. Raleigh laying in the floo

Emily Emily was sitting by the little stream in the woods. She had been a run and shifted back to sit and watch the water a while. Evidently she was tired because she’d taken a nap. When she woke up.. she wasn’t alone. She turned and looked at the person sitting next to her. Charlotte. Charlotte grinned at her and Emily immediately started crying. But why was she crying? Wait a minute. Charlotte couldn’t be here. Charlotte had died. But there she was… sitting right beside her. “Charlotte?” She asked. Charlotte laughed. “Yeah goofy. Why are you acting so surprised?” Emily smiled at her. But then she frowned and looked around. “Where did you come from?” She asked her. “Emily…” Charlotte said. “I’ve been here the entire time.” Tears ran down Emily’s face. She reached over to grab her best friends hand. To her surprise she could feel it. She gasped. Then she reached out and hugged her. She hugged and hugged and squeezed her as tight as she could. Emily Emily opened her eyes and looked around. She was thankful she had been able to return here. She had done it so many times now, she was afraid she couldn’t find her way back. But this time. Charlotte wasn’t there. But Emily wasn’t alone either. There were birds everywhere. Hundreds of them from the looks of it. But not just any bird. Rare purple finches. Emily smiled. She knew by now these birds were a sign from Charlotte. But she was in a dream… wasn’t she? And she wanted the real Charlotte. Although Emily wasn’t completely convinced this was a dream anymore. That line between what was real and what wasn’t — had blurred completely. The birds flew around her.. some of them on the ground.. making their beautiful music with their voices. Wait. Voices. She heard more of them. But this one was a new one. Not her brothers or father. Not Juniper or Maeve. No. This voice belonged to Lorenzo. “Lo?” She said. Lo was here? She took two steps towards the voice but then stop

Epilogue Emily The last few months had been the happiest in her life. She was overcome each and every day with the amount of peace and love she felt all around her. The pack had taken to her immediately. Everyone had each others backs here… everyone looked out for one another. There was no backstabbing and no secret plans of takeovers. She wasn’t worried constantly about someone trying to kill her. And .. best of all .. she had Lo. She had him all the time. Gone were the days of him having to leave. No more waiting weeks or months or years to see him. He was always there. She was settling into her Luna duties easily. She had done them for so long there wasn’t much to learn. The only difference was the Crow pack was massive in size compared to Nick’s pack. It was even bigger than her home pack so there was a lot of work to be done. But she didn’t mind it. Emily looked down at her arm.. the small crow tattoo looking back at her. She had gotten it right after the wedding. She sti

Wedding continued Emily Emily could not stop the waterworks that were happening. Tears streaming down her face as she sobbed at the letter. She sat it down beside her and patted it gently while she tried to calm herself enough to look at the dress. When she pulled it from the box, she immediately began sobbing again. She had never seen anything so beautiful in her life. The dress itself was the lightest pinky-tan color on the bottom. It was sleeveless and the top was fitted and covered with white lace and flowers. The bottom was flowy and had several layers to it. The train was long and white and was also covered with flowers and lace. It was literally enchanting. And absolutely perfect. So she had her dress and decorations and food.. now she needed some bridesmaids. ~~~~~~~~~~When the day finally arrived Emily was a bundle of nerves. As a special gift to her and Lo, her dad had gotten ordained and was going to marry them. When he walked into the room where she was getting

THE WEDDING EmilyFor the past couple of weeks, she had been working nonstop planning everything. She wasn’t the type of girl who had to have all the bells and whistles and sparkles, however, she did want everything to be perfect for her wedding. When she had married Nick, she had let Susan and Sophia make most of the decisions. And none of it had been what she would have chosen to do… so this time, she got to do it right. She knew they’d need a large area with tons of seating. People from all around would be coming. Several different packs from near and far would attend. People from her home pack of course, even people from Nick’s pack would come. Lorenzo’s pack would’ve filled an entire valley alone. So the first thing she did was find the perfect spot … and surprisingly.. or not.. it ended up being right outside her new cabin. There was a huge open space on one side of it. The other three sides were blocked off by a mountain, a lake, and a forest.. but the front of her house

Emily Nothing had ever felt as good as this. She didn’t care that sticks and grass were poking into her back. She stared up through the trees to the stars in the sky.. or maybe that was just her vision because she was losing herself. Lo continued his onslaught with his tongue. He licked and sucked and kissed.. he added a finger, then another. She couldn’t be still. It was too much .. it felt too good. She squirmed and whimpered and cried out. “That’s it baby…” he said. Then he went back in… attacking her with his mouth. He slowed down then. Torturing her. But goddess it was good. He lazily flicked at her with his tongue.. every so slowly … growling and causing vibrations as she climbed higher and higher. “Loooo…” she breathed out. “Mmmmmm” he hummed into her. Her body began to shake as she kept going higher and higher. He picked up his speed.. he added another finger. His other hand held her open as he kept going faster and faster and faster…. She went over the edge. She

Emily Emily couldn’t wait to see Lorenzo. Being away from him for two weeks was killing her. Of course she had enjoyed her time at home. She loved seeing her dad and Brian and Maeve and June. She had gotten to snuggle little Charlie … and it was as if Charlotte was there with her. She wished they could all live in the same pack together. Her and Lo, their children… her brothers and dad and Maeve and now the baby. And Juniper of course. If she could just have them all with her every day.. it would be a little piece of heaven here on earth. She got to tell Andrew that he was officially adopted. They both hugged each other and cried. He asked her if that meant he could call her mom now .. and she smiled so big her cheeks had hurt. “Yes Andrew. You absolutely can call me mom.” It had been a beautiful reunion with all her children. But now she was headed back to Lo’s pack.. which would soon be her own. Alan and Collins were returning as well in a couple of days. Alan stayed a lit

Lorenzo Emily had been gone back to her pack for only a couple of days, and already he was losing it being away from her. The hole she left behind was sucking the life out of him. He was moody and felt sick.. and bit the head off anyone who looked at him sideways. She would be returning soon… with the kids. He just had to hold off a little longer. He knew she needed this time with her dad and June and the rest of her family. Alan had gone too and taken Collins. Lo still couldn’t get over how that had all worked out but he was glad. Alan was the best fit for Collins. He knew they’d make each other happy, and he was happy for them both. Alan was one of his best friends and had the biggest heart, just like his sister. He was more like a brother to Lo.. him and Brian. Although Emily never got anywhere near the sister category. But they’d grown up together. The truth was Alan and Collins were a perfect fit. They bounced off each other in the best ways. Alan would bring Collins out o

Emily In the days following her and Lorenzo’s engagement, and their… special time… afterwards, Emily was on cloud nine. She felt a rare peace that she had never had in her life. It was an odd feeling… not worrying, but she was grateful for it. She would be returning home in a couple of days. She had to wrap up some things there and then she would be moving to Lorenzo’s pack… permanently. She was a little nervous of how the kids would do with all the changes. But they could visit her dad and Maeve as much as they wanted to. Speaking of Maeve, Brian had called her that morning with the news. She had gone into labor in the middle of the night, and the baby was here. Emily was so happy for them, they’d both wanted their own child for such a long time. “What did you name her?” Emily asked Brian. Brian paused on the other end of the phone. “How did you know it was a girl? I haven’t even told you that part yet. Emily… did you get one of your feelings about the baby?” He asked nerv

Emily Her breathing was erratic as she watched Lo watching her. He sat up on his knees and grabbed both of her ankles, yanking her back down. She gasped. “Lo…. What are you doing?” She asked him.. reaching up and touching the mark that was still on her neck. He growled. “I know you want to wait Emily. But I’ve got to touch you. I want to touch you. I … NEED .. to touch you.” He ground out. Her body shivered at his words. Want and need exploded as she released a small moan without meaning to. Lorenzo sniffed the air. He looked at her. She knew he could smell her as his eyes began glowing, his wolf coming forward. She made a pained sound then as he ran his hands up her legs and stopped at the elastic of her pants. Before she knew what was happening .. he had jerked them down to her ankles. She gasped. “Lo….” She said. He growled at her. She plopped her head back down… no longer being able to hold it up as he crawled slowly up to her face. He looked at her and smirk

I had a whole speech…” he said. She grinned at him. “Okay. Let’s here it.” She said smiling. Lo got back down on one knee. He took her hand and kissed it. Lo down on a knee was still about as tall as Emily he was so huge. She grinned at him waiting. “Emily Caroline Elkwood. I have loved you my entire life. Even before the mate bond, through it and after it. I’ve always loved you. You’re the best part of every day…. you’re the best part of me. You’re my reason. You have the kindest soul of anyone I’ve ever known and the biggest heart there ever was. As bad as it sounds, I’m glad that rogue pack took mine over so I got to come live with you.”Emily had tears in her eyes as he continued. “You’re the most beautiful creature I’ve ever laid my eyes on … but you don’t even realize it. You’re funny. But you don’t know t
