Seraphine’s Point of View

A loud knock on the door made me jump from where I was lying on the floor, drawing random scenes on a piece of paper.

“Sera?”

My eyes went wide upon hearing Leilani’s voice. “Leil! Come in! The door is unlocked.”

The door swung open, and Leilani’s head peeked in. We both smiled broadly as I got up to greet her.

“What are you doing here? Did they lift up the lockdown?”

She closed the door and skipped towards me, clinging to my arm and pulling me down on my bed. We both giggled over it.

“Yeah. I decided to come here as soon as I heard it. Though my parents walked me here. They're downstairs, talking to your parents about what happened.”

“I don’t even know why they had to implement a lockdown when they already captured the culprit,” I said, sitting up. “I was so bored here!”

“Oh, you didn’t know?”

I arched an eyebrow, prompting her to continue.
