I stood firm, watching as I saw her holding my mate's arm and batting her eyes coquettishly at him.

I was lost in different worlds at the same time; confusion, frustration, and fury, burning with great rage inside of me to tear someone apart and rip off her wolf from its hiding, and then keep it caged forever.

“What is she doing here?” I questioned in a very icy tone. My gaze was still fixed on her.

The red head grinned like a shark. She was wearing a blue suede gown that clung to her skin and a very bold and flirty makeup.

Just imagine!

Imagine the mood!

Imagine the appearance!

I hissed. Silently.

“Hi! I could not introduce myself the last time. I am Amanda Vermont, the representative of the nymph, secretary to the Magic Council. You are one very lucky woman, Mrs. Elise.” she introduced with a weird grin plastered on her face like a doll with a fake smiley face.

“Nice to meet you. I would love to shake your hand since it is polite and proper, but it is a pity that your right hand i

The next morning, bright and early as the day, I went out wearing a tracksuit and a pair of running shoes. I informed Thomas that I was out for a jog and a cup of coffee at the nearest coffee shop.My heart was pounding as I jogged from the house to the café shop that was almost four miles away. But as I sighted the blue and white umbrellas perched on the little wooden tables and chairs that dotted the front of the little café, I stopped and grinned as I looked at the elegant cream teacup designs on the glass door. The scent of freshly grounded coffee and baked goodies welcomed me as I opened the door. I was extremely delighted when I discovered that my favourite coffee place was not so far away from my new home.I usually flew in to patronize the place and I greeted the few staff around, Bianca was already waving happily at me. “Let me just get my order, I will be joining you shortly.” I waved back at her and found my way to the counter.Francis, the son of the owner of the coffee

The trip to Maine was such a cool and pleasant one. We arrived there later that day and Carl looked both annoyed and pleased as I laid on his chest, thoroughly, and exhausted. He was rather nervous and guilty about how our marriage had been going, especially with that stupid redhead, Amanda, or whatever she called herself who was constantly making herself a nuisance. He was rather worried as Elvis and Lincoln approached him at different times before he left the feast, threatening him that they would take me away from him. He knew Lincoln was powerful but not as powerful as he was, and he was crazy about his best friend and I was oblivious to it.Elvis was just an opportunistic playboy, who wanted his cousin for her beauty and power. Obviously.Something that struck him was the mystery gift he received; a bloody mask signed 'L. W.' He had pondered on who had the initials and would be bold enough to send such a threat.I snuggled closer to him unknowingly as he carried me into his beac

As we both went back to bed that night, both of us were lost in our thoughts. Carl could not believe that I was that read and I could not believe that my mate had such an interesting past. He was wearing only boxer shorts, while I wore an oversized shirt and a pair of boy shorts. The night was really cold and as we climbed into bed, I commented about it offhandedly.“You do know that you have a mate here at your service, it will not pay you if you keep to your side of the bed.” the thunderous but soft voice of Carl toned in my ears as I plumped my pillow and sighed. The sheets were very luxurious in feeling to me and I soon found myself asleep, curled underneath my mate. I felt really warm that way, and contented.~~~~~~~~~~~~~Carl woke up the next morning as the bright light from an open curtain streamed on his face and lit up the room. It seemed someone had opened the curtain and windows, allowing the fresh cool sea breeze to blow in softly. He sat up from his sleep and looked ar

“You can actually talk to me in whatsoever manner you desire, you can give me the silent treatment. But you cannot swim away from me and my watch. I am in charge here. You are my mate in my custody, what will anyone say if something went wrong with you?” Carl yelled at her.Elise looked at him and sighed, “Are you done shouting? Who made you lord over my life? Because it was not really necessary to shout Carl. In fact I just feel that this is guilt for what you did to me. And besides something is always wrong with me when it comes to you in charge. Maybe you should look into that instead of yelling at me.” she said slowly. Carl was really infuriated with her and he knew she was manipulating him.“Elise I do not appreciate all these attitude I am getting from you. Are you blaming me for everything that has happened so far? Because I was not responsible for your illness neither was I responsible for your attitude.” Carl said as he walked to where she sat on the long island.Elise laughe

The trail where the man followed soon narrowed and no matter how much speed both Elise and Lincoln put in. The man seemed to outrun them and they both chased him, until what seemed like a dead end, a bricked up wall in a lonely alley and the fellow disappeared. They both walked back navigating their way back to the lounge, the host was almost prostrating as he led them back to their seats and promised a tighter security. Elise ignore him and looked at Lincoln in sadness. “You keep making excuses Lincoln. I don’t want to hear it actually. If you are here to do so then I can leave here after taking my mimosa.” Elise said gravely, Lincoln looked at her and bowed his head.“ I just knew a lost a huge gem when I saw you at the wedding. I felt that a part of me was taken away. And I decided to see you and tell you some things about your mate, besides what was the rushed wedding for?” he asked as he sipped his drink.“ Really! She felt the mist rise up as she looked around still searching for Lucas and she walked on a bit before she stumbled. Carl looked for her in the mist and he felt very miserable as he did so. “Where on earth was Elise?” his wolf worsened the whole thing when it began making small pained whines. He knew if anything went wrong with Elise he would have himself to blame. He suddenly shifted to his wolf and howled loudly, because he felt that she was in danger or something evil was happening to her. It was like someone was struggling with her and he gave a second howl and he sighted her in the clearing mist. He fly like he bumped into someone even as he rushed to her, but he ignored the feeling, all that mattered was that Elise was safe.He shifted back to his human form and ran to hug her. He picked her up and carried her in is arms and sped back to the house. Elise felt the air fill with tension as she tried to wrap her mind around what had just happened, who was Lucas? The sun was out shining brightly and the beach area seemed a little crowded, a mother was seated under a purple umbrella. She and her daughter who looked like a year old had the same copper brown hair and gray eyes. They also wore matching flowery one piece bikinis. Elise looked at them lovingly and Carl hugged her. There was a group of teenagers playing with a ball that rolled over to their side. Carl picked the black and white ball and threw it back. They all yelled their thanks and continued their game. They walked down to a row of some old shops made from browned tin roof and palm leaves, there was a row of coconut trees behind them, that gave shade to the sellers.Carl pulled Elise into one of the shops, where an old man dressed in a blue shirt and jean shorts that matched his eyes, sold jewellery. They both looked at his little collection and Carl bought her a silver and ruby pendant with the inscription of the infinity sign.Elise thanked him, but her mind was not really with

“Bianca! Bianca! Pick this phone up now.” Elise almost yelled in frustration as she chewed on her sandwich filled with avocado, lettuce, chicken and tomato. Carl had gone out to attend to business, leaving her and the maid in charge,……….. in the huge house.Elise had taken a shower changed into a purple kimono and silk and fur sandals. Then the maid fixed her a plate of sandwiches and coconut milk infused with cinnamon. She decided to call Bianca and send the text to Bianca. But she had not picked up her phone.“Hello! I shook off the dead grasses lying helplessly on my cotton gown, plastering most part of it. Some stubborn one refused to fall off, so I let them be. Sprinting out of the compound, Deryl called out to me, "Irisha…!" I halted abruptly, and wheeled my head back to them. "This way, not that way!" He gestured, showing me the correct way to follow. I quickly retraced my steps, running through the right path, my mind raced. "Why would I even be bothered about him when I know he doesn't even care about me like a mate is supposed to do to the other? Am I not being stupid here?" I questioned the air as I continued in my dishonored gown, sullied with lots of mud as I looked down on me. "Yes Irisha, you're only acting like a fool here!" Someone said and I stopped briskly, looked around but saw no one. Maybe that was my thought. I confirmed, and continued. I was actually right, it was my thought playing a fast one on me there. I felt a force directing me to where I knew not. I kept moving-

Words are weighty, but some are far weightier than others. My heart leaped into my throat, hammering right in my chest, pounding so hard as terror stabbed my heart. Her words felt like thunder down me as they were uttered, my defiant words marked my fear as my feet became numb, and suddenly wobbled like I just stepped on a heap of jellies as I walked. "Hang on Irisha…!" I could hear someone say, probably one of them, either Irialah or Lavel, but I just couldn't detect whose it was. I saw myself going down each passing second, not that I was sick or losing my balance, but I was actually experiencing it. My fears have finally come to play in my life now, every spoken word of prophecy is gradually and automatically coming to pass now as it was said, even by the old-young witch of the cauldron and fire furnace. Still trying to get back my balance, and abruptly, I began to hear swift and sudden movements, echoing from behind us. I struggled to twist my head, glared ahead and then I not

I blinked, trying to process the words as they escaped from their roots, down to my being. I blinked again, like once, twice, thrice; "his name is Suavil..?" My mind wondered where he's from as I stared into his being. "Confused..?" His cold words drew me back to my view before me like a map being sketched on a piece of cardboard paper on a drawing board. He creased his forehead like he was upset, maybe he was. It was when he smiled, letting out those soft chuckles from his lips, I realized he actually wasn't. "I'm from South-" he paused. His lips partly opened, as he stared in one direction. I waved my hand across his face, and he slid it away, but gently. "Look, Irisha; he is here!" Suavil mentioned, motioning his head ahead forward, in the empty air.I quickly looked in the direction, Alpha Grey..? Gosh! I adjusted myself immediately, looking at my toes, as I watched them wriggling. An instilled silence suddenly erupted from nowhere, and even the drop of a pin on the ground c

The sudden silence that engulfed the woods drenched me as I stared into Naellin's palm. Just a few chirpings of birds and insects could be heard, not even the rustling of dead leaves as others walked upon them, made any sound. My eyes trailed up to his face, that funny smiles were something I just couldn't comprehend. My eyes back again to his hand, "You can call me Irisha." I said, accepting his handshake. "I can..? Like, that's not really it?" He questioned and I wondered his reasons for asking such. "That's my name; Irisha." I confirmed, with a nod. Double nods. I glanced around, for I wasn't prepared to accept any whip from any fucking, goddamn guard, I was sure we were still in the crowd. "Hi," Naellin said. Wondering why he said 'hi' again, I turned and he wasn't the one. It was Irialah. "Oh, Irialah.. Good to see you looking cool today!" I said as I tugged her into a warm hug.She smiled."Naellin, meet Irialah.." I said, facing Naellin. "Irialah, Naellin." I introduced

The hallway to Ariana's room seemed dead in silence and deserted; with no noise of traffic; you can literally hear the chirping of the birds from outside and the rustling of leaves as they released their rhythmic voices and sounds transmitted through the heavy waves. So soothing to the ears…I paused and looked ahead, far deep into the place, my mind racing to different angles, not knowing what or where exactly to do or go. I tried to listen to my thoughts, yet nothing was forthcoming. Everything seemed blank, no matter how hard I tried to eavesdrop. I just couldn't mindlink her."What if someone catches me here, what would I say I'm doing here?" My heart leaped in terror instantly, I took a deep breath, took a step- two steps, glanced around, there was no one. "Well.." I shrugged and continued. Few seconds into my walk, a shrill cry pierced my eardrums, and I screeched, contouring my face. "What the fuck are you doing there? Would you get back into your quarter?!" Someone blasted f

Still soothing my aching head, looking around for help, I felt so weak and I had to sit. "Do you think Alpha Grey would tolerate any form of delay, should you stay back here for the next two minutes?" Someone spoke from behind me, and I quickly turned to see who it was. A strange face. "It's me, Irisha," she tapped me, "Irialah." She spoke. I looked back at her again, she was thesame middle aged woman. "Never knew your name was Irialah, sounds so much like mine." " Yeah.. and that's one that attracted you to me, for you bear thesame name as my daughter.""Your daughter..?" I became more interested in her story. "Please can you tell me more about this daughter of yours?" I held her hands. "Oh sorry, it skipped my mind.. I'm so sorry…." I quickly withdrew my hands, seeing that I just got hers stained with my blood. "No no no no… you've done nothing wrong, Irisha.." she said hurriedly, maintaining a stable gaze into my being, as she tried to wipe her hands on her dresa. "Please, d

Ariana..?Oh, moon goddess! My eyes loomed, as I saw it was Ariana. "Why would you ever think of doing such a thing?" I asked, giving her a small but a bit hard slap on her left arm. She screeched. "I thought it was a rogue initially." She bursted into a heavy laughter, cracking out her ribs as her pretty looking set of teeth flashed into my eyes like the sudden flash of sunlight in the dark. I never knew she'd got such a good sense of humour. I hissed. It took her some time to get a hold of herself, as she fell on the bed, sprung up again on her feet, and back to the bed, concurrently, clapping her hands against the bed and on her thighs. "You're such a funny girl! Imagine how you were so prepared to strike back!" She cackled again. I couldn't say anything any further, I just stood by, watching as she displayed. And,"Why did you have to shift into your wolf? Just to scare me I guess!" My words cracked out of my throat. I looked down to my feet as I felt a rope like stuff circli

Alpha Grey…?The stiff gaze on my face would explained it all; I was gripped in terror, as his sunny colored glare dashed into my popped ones, and then scanning all over my body. And in a swift glare, his eyes pierced mine, the connection began to flow. All of a suddenly, there was a huge silence in the room as his gaze shifted from serious to being concerned. He twirled his hand on my palm, my waist, and then he cleared his throat, snapping me back into my world of reality."What were you doing in that bowl, or.. is that how you take your bath?" He furrowed his eyebrows. His usually husky voice turned low, and soft.I didn't know what to give to him as an answer. Just my glare wasn't enough. "Do you know you don't just have to sit in here without looking outside of your environment, especially once it's getting dark out there like this?" He pointed out through the window.Yes, he was right. Feeling too relaxed wasn't the best. I needed to ask, but how dare I question an alpha?! I p

My anger suddenly doused down, a bit, as I saw Alpha Grey walk in. I looked up to the sky- the ceiling, "oh moon goddess, thank you so much for being there for me; even though I think it's just this once." I appreciated, and let out a sigh of relief. Back again to Alpha Grey, the shock in my eyes said it all, as he stared brazenly into my eyes. I studied him with a predator’s unwavering attention; "this isn't going to be funny…" I concluded as he walked closer to me, with fury blazing and oozing from all over him. Surprisingly, I wasn't quivering. I stood firm, watching, and waiting for his touch. His countenance immediately changed, his hands clenching and loosening at intervals, chest pounding, and his nipples grew harder. That broad chest. Those abs..
