Dante couldn't stop thinking about Anna, his wolf. The way she made him feel was something he had never experienced before. He was drawn to her like a moth to a flame.
Dante knew he had to find a way to break up his engagement with Darlyn. He didn't love her, and he knew that he could never be happy with anyone else but Anna. He was willing to do whatever it takes to be with her.He couldn't shake off the memory of Anna from his mind. Despite being engaged to Darlyn, his thoughts kept drifting towards the girl who stole his heart at the party. He didn't even know her, but he felt like he had known her for a lifetime.
He had tried to forget her, but every time he closed his eyes, her face appeared before him. It was like he was under some spell, and he couldn't break free from it.
Dante found himself dreaming about Anna almost every night. In his dreams, they were always together, walking through the forest, talking about everything and nothing. Her laughter echoed in his ears, and he felt a sense of warmth that he had never felt before.
He knew he was in trouble. He was engaged to Darlyn, and he couldn't just forget about his responsibilities. For sure, Leonora will be mad at him. But every time he looked at her, he felt like something was missing. He couldn't shake off the feeling that he was supposed to be with someone else.
All his life, he thought he would meet his fate mate at the age of 18. But he was wrong, because he met his mate at the age of 20. He’s sure Anna is his fated mate. He could feel the instant connection and bond that he never felt towards Darlyn despite knowing each other since they were young.
Dante couldn't shake off the feeling that Anna was meant to be his. He knew he had to find a way to see her again. His thoughts were consumed by her, and he couldn't focus on anything else. Dante knew that his heart belonged to Anna, and he couldn't let her slip away without a fight. He started to plan his next move, thinking of ways to get closer to her. Dante was determined to win Anna's heart and show her that they were meant to be together.
One day, he asked Kenneth, a private investigator, to search for information about Anna. And after one day, he asked him to meet him in a coffee shop. He is so damn excited. He couldn’t even explain it.
Kenneth stood up when he saw him. “It’s a great pleasure to work with you, Lycan Prince. I already got the information about this wolf,”
As Dante flipped through the pages of information about Anna, his heart beat faster with every detail he read. He learned that Anna didn’t finish her high school and he is working as a servant in the village. He also found out that she lived with her parents, Estella and Philip White, and that she didn't have any siblings.
Dante's eyes widened as he saw Anna's photo on the page. She looked even more beautiful than he remembered. He couldn't believe that fate had brought them together at his engagement party. He knew now that he had to see her again.
"Thank you, Kenneth," Dante said as he closed the folder. "You've been a great help."
Kenneth smiled. "No problem, Your Highness. Anything for the Lycan Prince."
Dante nodded and stood up, ready to go find Anna. But as he walked out of the coffee shop, his phone rang. It was Darlyn.
"Darlyn, why did you call?" Dante said, trying to sound as normal as possible.
"Babe, what kind of question is that? Of course, I wanted to check on you. I want to know how you're doing," Darlyn replied.
"I'm doing well. But I’m very busy with the company,” He lied.
“Tss. You’re always busy, Dante,”
"Of course. You know from the start I am a busy man, Darlyn,” Dante said quickly, not wanting to reveal anything about his search for Anna.
"Well, I miss you," Darlyn said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
He didn’t reply to her. He never said sweet words to her, ever. But in another way, he felt guilty for Darlyn’s mother, Leonora. "Darlyn, I have to go now. I'll call you later."
As he hung up the phone, Dante knew he had to break things off with Darlyn. He couldn't continue their sham relationship when he knew that Anna was his fated mate. He felt a pang of guilt, knowing that he had hurt Darlyn, but he also felt a sense of relief. He knew that he had to follow his heart.
Dante quickly made his way to the Black Pearl Pack, hoping to find Anna there. As he walked through the pack's territory, he couldn't help but feel nervous. What if Anna already had a mate? But in her information sheet, there’s no information if she has a mate or mateless. What if she didn't want anything to do with him?
Dante was excited to see Anna. He had been thinking about her all day and couldn't wait to spend some time with her. As he drove down the road, he saw her familiar figure walking with a man. Dante's heart sank as the man's arms were around Anna's shoulder. He felt a pang of jealousy in his heart.
“Damn… who is this guy?” He muttered to himself.
He pulled over to the side of the road and watched as Anna and the man walked closer. They seemed to be deep in conversation and oblivious to Dante's presence. He opened the car window wanting her to know that he was there.
Anna and the man turned towards the sound of his car’s engine. They both looked surprised to see him in the car. Obviously, they know him. Anna's eyes lit up as she recognized him, but the man's face remained neutral.
He wanted to say something, but before he could say anything, he saw the man's arm tighten around Anna's shoulder.
Dante felt a sharp pain in his chest as he watched the two of them together. He had never felt this way before, and he didn't like it. He couldn't stand the thought of losing Anna to someone else.
After a minute, Dante couldn't take it anymore. He started his car and drove away as fast as he could. He felt like he had just lost something precious, and he didn't know how to deal with the pain.
As he drove, Dante tried to push his feelings aside. He knew that he had no right to be jealous. He and Anna were just friends, and she was free to spend time with whoever she wanted. But the pain in his heart wouldn't go away.
Dante went home. Inside of his bedroom, he is feeling hurt and confused. He had only just met Anna, but he knew that she was meant to be his mate. He couldn't bear the thought of her being with another guy, and the pain was almost unbearable.
Desperate to forget his troubles, Dante picked up his phone and called his buddy Peter. They hadn't seen each other in a while, and Dante hoped that a night out with his friend would help him forget his pain.
"Hey, Peter. It's Dante. Can you meet me at the Rynx bar tonight? I need to drink and forget this pain." Rynx bar is one of the high-end bars in town.
"Sure, man. I'll be there in an hour. What's going on?"
Dante sighed heavily. "I met a woman, her name is Anna. I just met her, but I already know that she's meant to be with me. But she's with another guy, and it's killing me inside."
Peter laughed on the other end of the line. "Dante, you barely know this girl. You can't be that attached to her already."
"It's not just physical attraction, Peter. We have a connection, a bond. I can't explain it, but I know that she's the one for me. She’s my fated mate, I know it.”
Peter chuckled. "Okay, Dante. I'll be there in an hour, and we'll drink until you forget about this Anna girl."
Dante hung up the phone and got dressed for the night. He wanted to look good for his night out with Peter, even though he didn't feel good on the inside.
When he arrived at Rynx, Dante was struck by its beauty. The bar was stunning, with crystal chandeliers, plush seating, and an extensive drink menu. It was a place where people came to see and be seen.
Peter was already there, sitting at the bar with a drink in his hand. He smiled when he saw Dante and motioned for him to come over.
"Hey, man. I ordered you a drink. Let's forget about Anna for the night and have some fun."
Dante forced a smile and sat down next to Peter. He picked up the drink and took a sip, hoping that the alcohol would numb his pain.
Peter looked at him and shook his head. "Dante, you can't just drink away your problems. What's really going on with you?"
Dante took a deep breath and looked at his friend. "I met this woman named Anna, and I know that she's meant to be with me. But she's with another guy, and it hurts."
Peter sighed. "Dante, you can't force someone to be with you. If Anna is meant to be with you, it will happen naturally. You can't control everything."
Dante felt a sense of frustration rise up in him. "But Peter, I know that we have a connection. It's not just physical attraction. It's something deeper."
Peter nodded. "I understand what you're saying, but you have to give it time. You can't rush these things. And in the meantime, you have to focus on yourself and your own happiness."
Dante took another sip of his drink and thought about what Peter had said. Maybe he was rushing things. Maybe he needed to take a step back and let things happen naturally.
The two friends continued to talk and drink, and as the night went on, Dante began to feel better. He laughed at Peter's jokes and enjoyed the company of his friend.
Peter suddenly asked about his engagement with Darlyn.
"Dante, what about Darlyn? You were engaged to her, right? What are your plans with her?"
Dante felt a twinge of guilt as he realized he hadn't thought about Darlyn in a while. "To be honest, Peter, I've been so focused on Anna that I haven't really thought about Darlyn. But I know that I need to break up with her. It's not fair to keep her waiting while I figure things out with Anna."
Peter nodded in agreement. "You're right, Dante. You can't keep stringing Darlyn along. You need to be honest with her and end things."
Dante sighed. "I know, but it's going to be hard. We've been together for a long time, and I don't want to hurt her."
Peter put a hand on Dante's shoulder. "I know it's hard, but it's better to be honest now than to keep dragging it out. And who knows, maybe breaking up with Darlyn will be the push you need to pursue something real with Anna."
Dante smiled weakly. "Thanks, Peter. I appreciate your advice."
Hours later, Peter and Dante said goodbye to each other and they went home after a good time in the bar. As Dante walked through the door of his home, he felt a sense of determination wash over him. He knew that he needed to be honest with Darlyn and pursue what he truly wanted - Anna.
He sat down on his bed and closed his eyes, focusing on the image of Anna's smiling face in his mind. As the darkness enveloped him, he whispered to himself, "I just want to dream about Anna tonight."
Slowly, he felt himself drifting off to sleep. And as he did, he felt a warmth spread through his body. He dreamed of Anna, her hand in his, walking together along the beach. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the water, and they were laughing and talking as if they had known each other for years.
Dante felt a sense of peace wash over him as he dreamed of Anna. He knew that he was on the right path now, and that pursuing her was the only way to find true happiness.
He will have Anna, by hook or by crook!

ANNA Weeks later Dante had always known that Anna was the woman for him, ever since the day he met her. He was not one to give up easily. He was determined to be a part of Anna's life, no matter what it took. So when Dante found himself standing outside Anna's house, he knew that he had to take the chance to see her. He had heard rumors that her family life was not the best, but he had never imagined what he was about to witness. As he stood outside the house, Dante heard a commotion coming from inside. He could hear Anna's mother yelling and screaming, and he could hear the sound of something hitting the walls. Dante's heart raced with fear as he wondered what was happening. Suddenly, the front door burst open, and Dante saw Anna stumble out of the house, her face bruised and bloodied. Dante swallowed his saliva, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing right now! Dante was horrified at the sight of Anna's injuries, and he felt a surge of anger towards her parents for hurting her.
ANNAThe next dayDante and Anna stood outside his house, both admiring the beautiful structure in front of them. It was a grand mansion with tall pillars and a large garden surrounding it. Anna couldn't help but feel nervous as they walked up the steps and into the house. She had never been to Dante's house before and she didn't know what to expect.Dante led Anna through the front door and into a large hallway. The walls were painted a light shade of blue and there were several paintings hanging on them. Dante took Anna's hand and led her through the hallway and into a large living room. The room was spacious and filled with comfortable-looking furniture. There was a large fireplace in the center of the room and a piano in the corner."This is my house," Dante said, looking around the room. "I had it built a few years ago.""It's beautiful," Anna said, still taking in her surroundings.Dante smiled at her and led her over to the couch. They sat down and Dante put his arm around her.
ANNAAs I lay in bed next to Dante, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the wonderful man lying beside me. It had been a whirlwind romance, and yet it felt like we had known each other our entire lives. We had been inseparable from the moment we met, and our love for each other had only grown stronger with time.Dante was everything I had ever wanted in a partner. He was kind, compassionate, and always put my needs before his own. He made me feel loved and cherished in a way that no one else ever had, and I knew deep down that we were meant to be together. As I gazed at him, watching the gentle rise and fall of his chest as he slept peacefully, I felt a surge of affection for him. I couldn't help but smile as I thought back to all the sweet and romantic moments we had shared together.I remembered the time we had spent hours lying in the grass, staring up at the stars and talking about our hopes and dreams. I remembered the way he had held my hand tightly as we wal
Donovan Rossi, the Lycan King of the Black Pearl Pack, was fuming. He paced back and forth in his private room, his mind consumed with anger and disappointment. He couldn't believe that his only son, Dante, had chosen to mate with Anna, a rankless wolf with no status or power within the pack.As a powerful dictator, Donovan had always believed in the importance of rank and status. He had worked tirelessly to maintain the pack's social hierarchy, and he couldn't accept that his own son would choose to be with someone who had no rank or power.Dante had always been a rebellious child, but Donovan had never expected him to go this far. The idea of Anna becoming the future Lycan Queen was unthinkable to him. How could he allow someone like her to rule beside his son and potentially threaten the pack's stability?Donovan knew that he had to do something. He couldn't let his son's foolish decision stand. He had to find a way to break them apart before it was too late. But for now, he had to
Donovan leaned forward, his eyes fixed on hers. "We need to find out everything we can about this Anna," he said. "Where she comes from, who her family is, everything. We need to prove to Dante that she's not who she says she is. We have to taint her image,” He leaned forward, fixing Darlyn with a calculating gaze. "We need to separate them. Break them up." Darlyn looked at him with surprise. "Separate them?" she repeated. "How?" Donovan smirked. "You'll seduce Dante," he said, watching as Darlyn's eyes widened in shock. "You'll make him see that you're the one he really wants. And then we'll frame Anna for cheating with him. It will be the perfect way to break them up." Darlyn scoffed, shaking her head. "That's impossible," she said. "Dante is colder than ice. He won't fall for something like that." Donovan raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?" he said, testing her. "Because if you're not up for the challenge, I could always find someone else who is." Darlyn bristled at the challen
ANNA I woke up to the sound of Dante's gentle voice, and as I opened my eyes, I saw him looking at me with a big grin on his face. It was a beautiful sight to see, and I couldn't help but smile back. "Good morning, beautiful," Dante said, his eyes still shining with happiness. "Good morning, handsome," I replied, still trying to wake up. Dante continued to smile at me, and I couldn't help but feel curious as to why he was so happy. I knew that it wasn't like him to wake up this early with such joy. "What made you so happy this morning?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. Dante's smile grew even wider as he replied, "My father wants to throw dinner for us later. He wants to get to know you better." My eyes widened in surprise, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Donovan was the Lycan King, and I had only met him briefly before. I didn't think he would be interested in getting to know me better. "Are you serious?" I asked, my heart racing with excitement. Dante nodded, his smile n
ANNA As we entered Donovan Rossi’s home, I couldn't help but feel a sudden rush of nervousness. I’m going to meet him again now. “Good evening, Lycan King,” I greeted him with lots of respect. But as soon as Donovan greeted us at the door with a warm smile, my nerves began to settle. He welcomed us both with open arms, and I could feel his genuine kindness radiating from him. Maybe he just really wanted to get to know me, and I began to feel more at ease. “You look very great today, Anna. Your dress and accessories really look good on you,” Donovan even complimented me on my appearance, and I felt a blush creeping up on my cheeks. I thanked him, feeling grateful for his warm reception. As we made our way to the dining room, I couldn't help but take in my surroundings. The room was grand, with a long wooden table and ornate chairs. The smell of food wafted through the air, making my stomach grumble in anticipation. As Dante and I walked towards the dining room, I felt his warm br
ANNA I felt her eyes scanning me from head to toe, and her words stung. "I didn't know you downgrade your preference, Dante. How come you replace me with a rankless poor wolf?" Her words echoed in my mind, and I felt my face flush with embarrassment and anger. I knew that Donovan Rossi, Dante's Alpha, had invited her over, but I was still angry that he hadn't told me beforehand. I tried to keep my composure. I could feel the tension between them, and I didn't know what to do. I couldn't swallow my food anymore, and I just pushed my plate away, feeling nauseous. I wanted to scream at Darlyn and defend myself, but I knew it would only make things worse. Instead, I took a deep breath and tried to ignore her presence as best as I could. However, her snide remarks and condescending attitude made it hard for me to concentrate on anything else. I couldn't believe it. Donovan Rossi had invited Darlyn, Dante's ex-fiancee, to dinner without telling us beforehand. I was angry and hurt that he
DANTEThe weight of worry sat heavily on my shoulders as I stood there, my gaze fixed on the empty space that Lyza should have occupied. The minutes ticked by with excruciating slowness, each second intensifying my concern for her safety. It was as if the walls of the room were closing in on me, suffocating me with the uncertainty of her whereabouts. But between my frantic thoughts, a familiar voice cut through the haze of anxiety. Leonora Taylor, a respected figure within the pack, had arrived on time. Her concern was evident in the lines etched across her aged face."Dante, is it true? Lyza is missing?" Her voice held a mixture of worry and empathy, her eyes reflecting the genuine concern she felt for both Lyza and me.I offered her a tight-lipped nod, my voice carrying a heaviness that mirrored the turmoil within me. "Thanks for the concern, Leonora. But yes, she's missing. She didn't show up."The kindness in Leonora's gaze softened her features as she stepped closer. "I'll help y
LYZA “I know I owe you an explanation, my daughter, Anna,” Estella smirked at me. Daughter? What? A wave of emotions crashed over me – disbelief, anger, and a deep-seated ache that I couldn't quite place. The very core of who I believed myself to be was unraveling before my eyes. "I'm not Anna! I’m not your daughter! I'm Lyza Pressman!" I protested, my voice quivering with a mix of frustration and confusion. Estella's eyes bore into mine, an unsettling mixture of triumph and malice dancing within them. "No matter what you say, Lyza. I knew it. You can't lie to me. I know it's you, my always good daughter, Anna!" My fists clenched, nails digging into my palms as her taunts grated against my already frayed nerves. "Stop talking too much! And tell me the fuck you want!" I shouted, the words escaping my lips before I could even fully process them. She chuckled, seemingly unfazed by my outburst. "Well, you are right. But since I'm too generous, I will tell you the truth about yourself
LYZAI struggled against the restraints, my heart pounding in my chest as Estella's anger escalated. The fear and confusion were etched across my face as I desperately tried to make them understand that I had no knowledge of what they were accusing me of. But their relentless pursuit for answers pushed them further into darkness.Estella's grip tightened on my hair, yanking my head backward. The cold, hard drum pressed against the back of my skull, causing chills to run down my spine. My eyes widened in terror as I realized what they intended to do.The room fell silent, save for the sound of water dripping rhythmically onto the drum's surface. The tension in the air was suffocating, each passing second feeling like an eternity. Estella's cold eyes bore into mine, demanding a response that I couldn't provide."Speak, Lyza!" she hissed through clenched teeth, her voice dripping with venom. "Tell us what we want to know, or this drum will become your worst nightmare! Don’t make me mad,
DANTEI paced back and forth in the office, my eyes constantly glancing at the wall clock as each minute ticked by with agonizing slowness. Lyza was never late, let alone two hours late for an important meeting like this. Something wasn't right, and my worry grew with each passing moment.I tried to convince myself to stay calm, to trust that there must be a reasonable explanation for her absence. Perhaps there was an unexpected complication, a delay beyond her control. But the nagging sense of unease gnawed at me, refusing to be silenced by logic.I reached for my phone, my hands trembling slightly as I dialed Lyza's number. The sound of the dial tone seemed to mock me, a constant reminder of the unanswered call. I tried again, hoping for a different outcome, but the result remained the same—her phone was out of coverage. My mind raced with countless possibilities, each one more troubling than the last. What if something terrible had happened to her? What if she was in danger and una
LYZAThe door creaked open, revealing the silhouette of Philip, a chill ran down my spine. His face twisted into a sinister grin, his eyes gleaming with a malevolence that sent shivers through my already shaken form. He was the embodiment of a wicked antagonist, straight out of a nightmare.I strained to articulate my words, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and fear, but Philip merely chuckled, relishing in his cruel game. He taunted me, claiming he couldn't comprehend my muffled pleas. His laughter grated on my nerves, a twisted melody that underscored his malevolent intentions. With a twisted satisfaction, Philip removed the tape that had silenced me, his smirk growing wider as he allowed me to speak. I glared at him, my eyes burning with a fiery rage that demanded answers. This man, who had been a stranger just moments ago, had betrayed my kindness, exploiting my goodwill for his sinister agenda."How dare you, Philip!" I spat, my voice laced with indignation. "How could you
LYZAI made my way towards the meeting place with Dante, when a voice called out my name, causing me to turn in surprise. My eyes fell upon an elderly man standing a few feet away. His weathered appearance spoke volumes of a life filled with hardship and struggle. Yet, despite his disheveled appearance, I held no judgment, for I had learned never to judge someone based on their external circumstances.Approaching the old man with genuine curiosity, I offered a polite smile. “Hi! Is there something I could help you with, sir?” His eyes crinkled with a hint of warmth as he returned my smile. He mentioned feeling honored to see me in person and spoke of hearing favorable compliments about me within the Black Pearl Pack. “By the way, my name is Philip. I’m also a member of Black Pearl Pack. But my wife and I are just omegas,” Curiosity piqued, I couldn't help but wonder what he wanted from me. Was it merely a chance encounter, or did he harbor ulterior motives beneath his humble facade?
LYZAI am about to meet Dante today. The anticipation mingled with a deep sense of contentment within me. The smile on my face seemed to reflect the happiness that bloomed in my heart. Everything was falling into place, and I couldn't help but be grateful for the events that had unfolded."What if I tell Dante the truth?" I whispered to myself, my voice barely audible above the soft hum of the car's engine. The thought played like a gentle melody in my mind, twirling with uncertainty and hope. The mission given to me by the Moon Goddess had been accomplished, and justice had been served for Anna. But as I pondered revealing my true purpose to Dante, conflicting emotions tugged at my heart. How could I possibly leave this life, this newfound connection, behind? My heart had intertwined itself with Dante's, beating in unison, and the mere thought of walking away left an ache within me.Lost in my thoughts, the passing scenery blurred outside the car window, mirroring the whirlwind of em
Darlyn's gaze shifted from Philip to the elderly woman standing before him, and a wave of revulsion washed over her. Estella White, Anna's mother, bore a striking resemblance to a wicked stepmother straight out of a fairy tale. Her disheveled appearance and haggard expression only intensified Darlyn's disdain.Darlyn cleared her throat, preparing to introduce herself, but before she could utter a word, Estella's eyes widened with recognition. The woman's arms shot out, encircling Darlyn in a tight embrace. Darlyn recoiled, a mixture of disgust and irritation twisting her features."What are you doing, old woman?" Darlyn snapped, her voice laced with contempt. "A pathetic creature like you shouldn't dare to touch someone of my stature!”Estella's grip tightened, oblivious to Darlyn's disdain. A flicker of longing danced in her eyes, a deep-seated desire hidden behind her worn exterior. Darlyn couldn't fathom what could possibly draw such a woman to her, nor did she care to find out.Es
Darlyn stepped into the bleak streets of Ovion City, a place devoid of life and hope. The air hung heavy with the scent of despair, mingling with the lingering stench of poverty and desperation. Dilapidated buildings lined the worn-out roads, their weary facades telling stories of struggles and shattered dreams. The city seemed frozen in time, a forgotten corner where rogues and outcasts sought refuge. As she approached the White's home, the sight before her was even more dismal than she had anticipated. The house stood in disarray, its weathered walls and crumbling structure bearing witness to years of neglect. The roof sagged under the weight of time, its once vibrant color faded to a muted gray. The gate, rusted and crooked, gave an eerie impression of a barricade warding off unwanted visitors.A wave of revulsion washed over Darlyn as she stepped closer, the putrid odor assaulting her senses. She wrinkled her nose in disdain, but her determination remained unwavering. This rundown
