Rebecca stepped slowly, but surely, through the dark hallways towards the prison. The cold penetrated her bones, making her skin crawl, but her heart was set. She had to face the man who had ruined her life, who tore her family apart. This was the final step to close this dark chapter in her life. So many wounds were scratched, but the forgiveness that would be given this time was for herself so that she could move on.

Arriving at the cell, she saw Elder Jack, the old man cowering in the corner of the room. The figure that once looked powerful and intimidating now looked broken and helpless. Slow sobs escaped his dry lips, echoing softly in the cramped space of the prison.

"Elder Jack," Rebecca called, her voice firm, unwavering. The call made the old man flinch, and slowly, Elder Jack raised his face. His eyes were red and puffy, his face looking older than ever, filled with a deep sense of guilt.
