"Honey, this afternoon you have to come with me to the meeting hall. We have a lot to talk about with the higher-ups. And they have to know everything," Luke said when he was alone with me in the room.

"Must be this afternoon, alpha? But I want to be with Lucas all day." I objected a little to his request.

"That's okay, honey. We can leave Lucas with Ovy. Lucas loves being with your friend anyway."

"Rebecca." Luke took my hand, then looked at me as his other hand stroked my hair.
