The night sky had taken over by a shining sun. Yet Felen’s journey in the human world — her hometown, still continuing. After a melodrama due to witnessing an incident that became a traumatic experience, Leon brought her to a different place.

However, unlike before, where he used invisible magic so other humans wouldn’t notice their presence, this time he and Felen blended with them.

They were like a couple on a date, holding hands together. She just followed him without saying much. She was still in a state of confusion and shock. Her mind wandered elsewhere. She didn’t even realise she almost hit a street lamp pole in front.

People passing by made her head dizzy. The bright and warm sunlight against her skin, the happy sound of a child running in a small alley, a vehicle driving down the street, the shops lined up, the sound of birds chirping, and a cat meowing — it all seemed unreal to her. She felt like she was in a long dream.

The greatest loss of human beings is when they are being abandoned or betrayed. *** “So what do you want to do, Milady?” Leon asked. He stood beside Felen, waiting for the decision his future bride would make. Right now, they were in a tall building that made it easy to see the surrounding area. Felen, who was spying Barend and his new family from quite a distance away, ignored his question. Her mind was in deep thought after seeing Abelard, who had grown up. He looked exactly alike to young Barend. They are like two peas in a pond. She was sure that no one would doubt him as Barend’s son, even if others knew he was from the slums. Something crossed her mind. She glanced at Leon. She assumed he knew what happened to her family. “What’s wrong? Do you want to ask something?” As if he had expected that she would ask something, he replied, with a teasing grin. She scoffed in disbelief. However, right

The Pandora’s box is opening. Between hope, despair, and awareness — which will come forth and welcome Felen later? *** Felen stepped into Leister’s manor with imperfect plans. She still wore an innocent-looking smile, hoping it would reduce Barend’s suspicion. She ignored the piercing gaze from Abelard. Not even once she glanced at him. She hated him for snatching her position, so she didn’t want to get involved with him anymore. Her goal is to avenge Aghnya on Barend. “You’d better change your clothes first, then come have dinner with us,” Barend said to her. “The maid will help you with all your needs.” A maid approached Felen. She bowed respectfully, then escorted her upstairs. The maid leads her to her childhood room before moving to the west building. When the large doors opened wide, every corner of the room was clearly visible. The whole interior had changed from what she remembered. No more child

What does a family mean? *** ‘Deadly poison?’ The corners of Felen’s lips rose, showing a wide grin that could make others shiver with horror. A second later, her expression distorted. Regardless of Leon’s true intentions, she thanked him for telling her that information or else it would lead to her death. She turned around and grabbed Abelard’s hand. Surprise flashed in his clear green eyes, seeing Felen’s demeanour changed 180 degrees, as if their conversation earlier had never happened. It confused him, yet he got along with her plans. “Let’s go together, Abelard,” she said in a cheerful voice. Barend noticed Felen and Abelard. He greeted them with a fake smile. She realised it, yet she smirked with a stony gaze as an intimidating aura emitted from her. She is not naïve. Her instincts had sensed that Barend plotted something behind the ‘loving father’ attitude he showed. “Papa.” Felen t

Humans often exceed our expectations, the demons. *** Barend’s room was right in front of her, but Felen still didn’t dare to enter it. Horror and anxiety stuffed her as memories of her childhood time was dashing through her mind. Death and being on the verge of death were her greatest fear. She had experienced it two times at all. As Abelard had told before, her life might be in danger. Her father would kill her tonight. The chance was high. “Are you hesitating because your fear is greater than your thirst for revenge or your beloved brother’s words influenced you?” Leon revealed his death god-like figure in front of her. “How weak!” he boosted, insulting her again. “I’m not weak!” She scoffed. The way he belittled her in every chance pissed her off. He crossed his arms in a daunting, haughty manner. His gaze demanded her to complete her plan right now. “Then do it. I gave you the dagger

Humans are full of surprises. *** Felen’s body shook with anger. Her adrenaline was racing, and she craved to vent his resentment by crushing Barend. The small dagger in her pocket was keen to be used to torture his father. However, the ropes tying her hands, feet, and upper body restricted her from performing it. She looked back up at Leon, who kept ignoring her. “Untie me, Leon!” This time, there was no pleading tone in her voice. She told him to help her untie the ropes that bound her entire body. “Why should I do such a troublesome thing, Felenia?” He grinned. The scene in front of him was quite enjoyable, but he had no intention of doing something without being paid handsomely. Her brain thought hard about what could draw him. Then, she said what runs into her mind without a second thought. “I’ll show you an amusing show.” There was not the slightest hesitation in her voice when she said those words

Let your soul sink deeper and deeper and I’ll welcome you in the bottomless abyss. *** The sky was getting darker and louder than the thunder. The humid air and the powerful smell of soil and plants show that rain will soon fall on the earth. It just waited for the right time to pour the water above the clouds. The wind came from the west was blowing hard and touched Felen’s pale cheeks. The weather was getting worse. It might even be more difficult for her to traverse the maze. Since Barend chased her out and aimed for her life. “Felenia!” His father’s voice resonated again. She didn’t move an inch from her position while covering her mouth with both hands. Hoping he wouldn’t find her hiding place. Sweat covered almost all over her body as she held her breath. She was too tired. Yet her sense worked well. The night with fog didn’t prevent her from seeing her surrounding. She could also hear his low footsteps in

Her silk nightgown looked dreamy, revealing the seductive curves of her virgin body. There was no voice in the room other than her breath, giving off a peaceful vibe. "What is a being like you doing in the sanctuary of the sleeping souls?" A short boy with blond hair greeted Leon at the entrance to the Spirit Realm. Even though the child was small in stature, an aura of dexterity emanated from him, as if to emphasize to anyone who came that he was not a being to be underestimated. "Tell me your goal!" said the boy proudly. Leon sighed lazily. He was quite annoyed with the arrogant attitude of the half-hearted creature. But he refrained from destroying the place, it was all for the sake of regaining half of Felen's soul that was confined in the Spirit Realm. If Leon made such a fuss there, it was certain that he would not be able to enter and his plan to obtain Felen's soul failed. "I came to retrieve the soul of someone who was accidentally sent here," Leon answered straightforwardly. The boy's eyes narrowed sharply. He scanned Leon from top to bottom. There was nothing unusual about the man's appearance, silver hair that was almost white with

Barend, who was watching the ceiling, turned to look at Felen and Abelard, and for the first time in his life he gave his two children a genuine smile. “Thank you… I can finally reunite with the Aghnya.”Silence took over. Only Barend's low moans and gasps could be heard. After a few minutes had passed, Barend's body was no longer breathing. The man left with a peaceful smile on his lips.'Easy as that?' Felen's heart screamed pitifully. Between happy and sad, he couldn't decide. He laughed blankly. The dagger in hand fell to the floor, making a loud sound that jolted Abelard out of his reverie.Abelard reflexively held Felen's body which was almost falling to the floor, shaking uncontrollably making him worry about the girl's psychological state. "Felenia?" he called carefully after sitting Felen on the chair."You know, Abelard? I prepared all of this for a long time . . . tediously, with quite a long preparation, but lo ... humans are indeed fragile. They, we, can die easily." Fele

Felen pointed the dagger at Barend's neck. The moment she stepped forward, the man's neck would be torn apart. "Enough. Stop your bullshit!" She shouted loudly. Tears that had gathered in the corners of her eyes had melted down her cheeks.Barend's chatter suddenly stopped. The more Felen let Barend speak, the more the man said things that made her sick. "What Abelard said turned out to be wrong." Her voice trembled slightly, but was full of firmness."You only care about yourself." Felen rose from the chair, still with the dagger pointed less than five centimeters at Barend's neck. She slowly moved around the table to make it easier for her to attack Barend if the man was being anarchic. She could immediately plunge the dagger if that happened.Barend's earlier words saying that she was a cheap woman made Felen furious. It was true that the man had apologized, but the apology sounded insincere and felt empty, and was accompanied by ridicule and put all the blame on Aghnya. Barend was

When Felen opened her eyes, she was already standing in the courtyard of the Leister family's manor. The building looked majestic, but was filled with emptiness like an uninhabited building. Not a single servant and maid was seen passing by. The aura emanating from the building also seemed very gloomy and dark."What is this?" Leon spoke first. His forehead was furrowed deep and his eyes narrowed sharply. Not only did Felen feel the strangeness in the manor, but Leon also realized that something had happened there. The black energy colliding there looked extremely chaotic and strange as if it was done on purpose. Moreover, he felt the energy of his brothers, the princes of darkness.Leon took a few steps forward with his arms outstretched forward. When his hand touched the empty air, suddenly static electricity appeared and hurt his hand until it was blistered. It was as if an invisible shield was refusing his presence to go deeper into the manor."Leon! Your hand ..." Felen exclaimed

The plan for lunch with Abelard was canceled, and Felen was invited to join him for breakfast instead. Only the two of them were in the dining room. The atmosphere in the dining room is quiet. Only Felen and Abelard's soft exhalations were the only sounds. The maids had long gone to make room for them, but since then Abelard had not made a conversation yet, her anxiety getting stronger. She glanced at Abelard several times, then at the clock which was oddly not ticking. It was as if time had stopped in that room."What do you want to say, Abelard?" Abelard didn't appear to intend to immediately explain what he said at that time, until Felen took the initiative on her own. Her voice trembled slightly. Not because she was nervous, but because her instinctive anxiety indicated that what A

She provided detailed reports on what has happened around Felen."So you're saying that she turned down the offer to get rid of Lucifer, preferring to take the thorny path?" The voice sounded gentle, soft, and soothing."Yeah, I guess it's pointless persuading her again. It's better if we eliminate her so she doesn't fall further into darkness." Louisa's face turned gloomy and sad. All of that is not a pretense. He was really very sad because he failed to persuade Felen to leave Leon. The figure in front of her looked just as sad as her. "Then I'll leave it all to you. I'm sure you know what's best for your first friend, right?" he answered understandingly, accompanied by a shady smile that made her eyes welled with tears."Very well, Archangel Michael." She wiped

Although Leon had ordered Felen to sleep and rest, she couldn't sleep in the least bit. She stayed awake all night without even closing her eyes once. As a result, grayish black shadows were formed under her eyes. Her face looks wistful with tired lines. She sighed tiredly. This was the third time this morning she had been sighing. A proverb says that happiness will disappear if she continued to sigh. However, for her happiness had long gone from her life so no matter how many times she sighed it wasn't a big deal."Miss, would you like some more?" asked one of the bunnies seeing that her cup was empty."Yes, please." Felen replied briefly with a faint smile. She was waiting for Leon's arrival to talk about Barend like he had said last night. She didn't know where the demon went so early in the morning. He had disappeared from her room while she was bathing and getting dressed. She took a sip of her tea, and a domineering and slightly sweet and bitter aroma mixed in her mouth. A tas
