Fiona

“There are here for you,” the young lady gasped, suddenly realizing.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry I have put your pack in danger.” I pleaded, pushing my body up and leaping on my feet. “They are here for me, and it’s me they will have.”

I leaped towards the entrance, ready to fight the rogues, but her hands stopped me halfway.

“This is sacred land, you can’t spill blood here.” She warned, her eyes were still calm despite the fury outside.

“Come with me,” she said, pulling me outside through the back of the tent.

She led me back into the forest. “In here,” she said, pointing towards an ancient looking tree trunk.

“No, I won’t let them hurt your pack for something I did.” I said, backing away from the trunk.

“If they find you, then they will hurt us for harboring their prisoners. I know you want to help, but this is the only way you can help. Hide!” She explained.

“Listen to her,” Mera insisted.

“But their blood would be on my hands if i hide.” I replied through mindlink.

FionaI’ve heard so many stories. Wolf and tangled whispers that floated through the air when I was just a pup. Back then, Orion would sit with me, wide eyes and a voice dipped in mystery, telling me tales of witches. Evil and ungodly creatures. He’d whisper about their abilities, their portals and shadows as well as their ability to bend and mature to their will. About how they once controlled the skies and even dared to challenge the moon goddess herself. I’d curl into his arms and ask, ‘are they real?’ And Orion would grin and say, ‘if they are not, then who are we supposed to fear the most?’Back then I thought it was all tales and made-up stories. Until now. Two figures emerged from the mysterious swirling portal. Both of them were cloaked in darkness, their eyes shimmering like molten silver. Even from across the room, I felt their power, dripping off like the venom of a poisonous snake—slick and suffocating. I moved quickly, grabbing the boy by the shoulder. “Come on, we hav

FionaOrion didn’t speak, and I didn’t know if I should wait for his response, or I should just leave. But my legs won’t move, my brain is somehow waiting for him to register my demand. To argue. Or maybe to stop me. Finally, he rose, his eyes not leaving Damir’s body. “This is my mistake, and I will take care of it. Leaving this place isn’t a mistake I can take care of. In fact, I won’t allow it.”I scoffed bitterly. “Do you still think you have a right over my life after this? After what your ignorance has caused?”Before he could give me an answer, a familiar voice boomed from the end of the hallway. “That is enough!”We turned sharply to the source of the voice. Damascus stood several feet away, half of his body covered by shadows from where some lights seemed to have gone off, and flanking his sides were several other warriors. His shirtless torso was smeared with blood with his chest rising and falling with rage. His lips were curled into a snarl as he pointed straight at Ori

The sound of growls, and claws clashing was all I could hear from the other end of the door. Loud thuds and pounding vibrated through the door and walls. I stumbled back from the door, my eyes frozen on the door knob as I quietly hoped that whatever was out there wouldn’t think of coming in. “Where is she?” I heard a voice demand. That voice. It was all I had been hoping to hear for quite a while. A wave of relief washed over me. My lips tweaked a small smile at the corner, and my eyes suddenly felt teary. His voice felt like hope, like a spark of flame in thick darkness. My feet moved without my permission. I rushed to the door, but before I got halfwa

LucianThe warrior didn’t hold back for another second. They parted ways, creating an entrance for the sacred wolves to pass through. Lyra and her daughter had stopped talking. They both stared in my direction, looking at me as though I had grown a second head. “What?” I shrugged. “We can all argue later, but I won’t allow those pups to freeze to death.”No one spoke. No one argued, or defied my order. The sacred wolves reluctantly began filing into the pack land. Each one of them met my gaze as they passed. They didn’t speak, but their eyes said the kind of thanks I recognized. As I watched them make their way slowly towards the pack, I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder. “Thank you,” lyra sighed. “Don’t thank me yet. I might have allowed your people into my pack, but I still don’t trust you.”She chuckled. “I also didn’t expect to get it that easily.”I almost smiled at her response, but a scream got my attention all of a sudden. My head whipped in the direction of the sound. It

Lucian"Tell you wolves to stand down!” I heard the sacred shout at the top of her voice. “We are here to help!”Her voice came from another side of the tree line. I whipped my head in her direction to tell her that she was indeed the one. She was in her human form, her hand held in the air, showing that she was harmless. Now I can see what my warriors were trying to stop from crossing the tree line—it was her entire pack. Their white furs were easy to spot under the blanket of the night. My warriors held their positions a few feet away from the tree line, securing the pack away from the intruders, and awaiting my command as well. I didn’t know how long, but I was quite sure I didn’t spend hours discussing with my elders. However, the sacred elder had made it back here, not alone, but bringing her entire family along with her. The reason she had done this was already obvious. She thinks I need support. Even though it might look so—I don’t. The thought of her risking the lives of

LucianI was quick to pull away, turning around just to see one of my warriors storm in. But the moment he saw us, he dropped on both knees immediately. “Forgive me, my lord,” he panted, offering his neck. “I had to come at once. It is urgent. Very urgent.”“Then speak,” I growled, rising quickly, adjusting my coat just to shield Nadia further. The warrior gulped down a mouthful of fear, then he spoke. “It’s about Fiona. We found a trail that might lead to the pack where she was being held.”I took a step closer, clenching my fist at my side. There was an urge to rip his head off his neck. “How dare you address her by name?” My growl vibrated through the corners of the room. “She is still your Luna even if she is not here.”The warrior bowed lower, stretching his arms and neck out in complete submission. “Forgive my stupidity, Alpha.” He pleaded shakily. “What I meant to say is that we got a chance to find Luna.”“Explain further,” I urged. “How sure are you about potentially find
