~Timbre~

Xavier delivered the news of Fabian's intention to leave, leaving me devastated. I was aware that he wanted to depart because I couldn't reciprocate his feelings.

He didn't want to cause any trouble between Xavier and me, so it was the best decision for everyone involved.

While he packed his belongings, I decided to pay him a visit and bid farewell. As I approached his room, I noticed his door was open, and one of his bags was already outside.

"Fabian," I called out, catching his attention.

"Timbre," he replied coldly, continuing to pack.

"I didn't mean to disturb you. I came to say my goodbyes," I responded, and he nodded, avoiding eye contact.

"Thank you," he said, and I slowly nodded.

"Thank you as well, Fabian, for everything you did for me. You've been one of the best things to happen to me since I met Xavier. Thank you for being my friend and for going out of your comfort zone to make me happy. I'll never forget how genuine your love was for me," I expressed, causing h

~Timbre~ I asked, filled with confusion, "What do you mean by 'I am with child'?""You're pregnant, Timbre. You can't proceed with this," she responded, her tone serious and fearful."I am not pregnant, Anne. How can you even know? Xavier and I made love a few hours ago, and now I'm pregnant? What are you talking about?" I chuckled, finding it hard to believe."I don't care about the timing. I can recognize a woman who's been pregnant for a day. It's always been a gift of mine. But it doesn't matter, okay? You can't practice black magic while carrying a child."I sighed heavily, sitting down on her bed as I tried to comprehend what she had just revealed."I'm pregnant," I whispered to myself, placing my hand on my belly."Yes, you are. And I'm so happy for you. I mean, it's not a baby yet, but you'll find out soon enough," Anne responded, a wide grin on her face."But I can't let this stop me from helping Xavier. Like you said, it's not a baby yet. How bad can it be, really?" I asked

~Timbre~ I began eagerly anticipating the next gathering of the coven. I informed Xavier that I would be visiting Anne again, and he kindly offered to give me a ride to her apartment.Upon entering the apartment, I noticed that Anne's belongings had been restored to their original places. The portrait, her crochet work, and other items were all back in order. A smile spread across my face as I turned to look at her."You've fixed everything already," I remarked to her, and she nodded with a chuckle."A witch will always be a witch," she replied, indicating that she had also retrieved her necklace."When I join the coven, will I be given one too?" I asked, and she nodded in affirmation."Yes, certainly. It serves as a symbol that you're part of our group," she responded, and I nodded slowly."But I wouldn't have to wear it all the time, right? I mean, I can't simply wear it around my neck while I'm at Xavier's place. He would definitely ask questions," I explained."Yes, I understand.

~Timbre~ “She cannot come in here. She has wolf blood in her. Who brought her?!” The voice came again, and when I looked up, I saw a figure approaching. I could guess this figure owned the voice I heard. I could hardly see the face of this person because the figure had a hood on and was backing the dim lights from inside the room. “High Priestess! I am the one who brought her. She’s here to join the Coven. Her mother is…” “I know her mother! You don’t have to tell me what I have seen!” The High Priestess answered, cutting Anne short. She got very close to me and when she stood in front of me, she removed the hood from her head, letting me see her face well. My eyes widened as I saw her face. Her face looked very old and full of wrinkles. Around her eyes were very black like she painted them. Her hair was all gray and curly. She raised her hand and moved it to my chin. I wanted to move away, but I was still stuck to where I was standing. In terror, I watched her reach for my chi

~Timbre~ After returning from Anne's place, I found myself unable to shake off thoughts about the recent events at the Coven. I kept questioning my role in what had transpired, feeling guilty that Anne might face consequences because of my actions. She remained tight-lipped about the reasons for saying we wouldn't meet again, but I suspected the High Priestess had instructed her to stay away from me due to my intentions. In my contemplative state, I opened a drawer and retrieved Anne's necklace, gazing at its pendant. A sudden knock on the door interrupted me, and I quickly stowed it away again. Turning towards the door, I was greeted by Xavier's warm smile as he entered."Hey, baby," he greeted me, approaching the bed where I was sitting."Hi... Did the pack meeting finish?" I inquired, and he nodded, taking a seat in front of me. Leaning closer, he gently held my face and planted a soft, profound kiss on my lips."I missed you. I could barely sleep without you by my side," he con

~Timbre~ “You’re pregnant?” His eyes widened as he spoke, and I nodded, letting out a wide grin. “Yes, I am. Are you happy?” I asked with a hunch of fear that he didn’t like the news. “Yes! Yes! I am so happy!” He yelled all of a sudden, wrapping his arms around me, causing me to burst into laughter. “Oh God! You scared the hell out of me with that expression!” I muttered, and he also laughed. “I’m sorry, my love. It caught me unaware! I am so happy!” He stood up and pulled me up with him. Standing in front of him, he squatted and placed his hands on my belly. He stared at it from my clothes, his eyes shimmering with love and excitement. “I can’t wait to hold her in my arms. To kiss her welcome to the world.” He muttered, raising my blouse and planting a kiss right above my navel. With a smile on my face, I answered, “Her? Why do you keep using her? You don’t even know the baby’s gender.” He chuckled and raised his head to look at me. “I know it’s going to be a girl. Have you

~Fabian~ Walking into the shopping mall, my hands were buried in my pockets, my eyes scanning through the clothes section. All of a sudden, I heard someone call my name from afar. “Fabian! Fabian!” I looked back, my eyes running through the mall to see who recognized me in a city I just moved into. While searching for the caller, I saw hands raised in the air, waving at me. “Alison?” I called in awe. I wasn’t only shocked by us meeting in a place like this, but also by how happy she seemed to see me. We were never best of friends when I was still Xavier’s Beta. What changed??I feigned a smile and waved back at her, watching her move closer to me. “Fabian! What are you doing here?” She asked, opening her arms to embrace me. I did the same and hugged her, though I couldn’t help but wonder why she was so happy to see me. “I live in this city now. What about you?” I asked, and she raised her eyebrows. “I don’t get you. You live here now? What about Xavier’s house? The pack?” She

The cold wind howled through the trees, carrying with it the scent of rain and earth, a prelude to the storm that was fast approaching. The night sky, once a blanket of stars, was now obscured by thick, rolling clouds that threatened to unleash their fury upon the world below. His breath came in slow, measured gasps, the cold air burning his lungs as he struggled to maintain his composure. The devilish grin that had once curled his lips had long since vanished, replaced by a mask of grim determination. The night was thick with tension, the air sharp with the scent of fear and uncertainty. Timbre stood at the edge of the clearing, the full moon casting an ethereal glow over the pack. Shadows danced among the trees, whispering ancient truths she had only begun to understand. Her fingers trembled as she traced the lines of energy that pulsed beneath her skin—an energy that now felt foreign, even to her. She had spent the last few days learning to harness the ancient power within her, with Alison guiding her every step of the way. But tonight, she faced the impossible truth. In order to save Xavier, in order to save herself, she would have to let go of the very thing that now made her whole. The pack gathered around her, their eyes full of suspicion, fear, and something else—hope. They knew Xavier was close to breaking, his episodes growing more violent with each passing day. The weight of the revelations still hung heavily on Timbre’s shoulders as she made her way back to the main hall, her mind spinning with the images she had seen in the vision. The rise and fall of the forgotten wolves played over and over again in her head, each scene more haunting than the last. The echo of their destruction, the devastation they had wrought upon the land, clung to her thoughts like a persistent shadow. She couldn’t help but wonder: would she follow the same path as her ancestors, consumed by the power that now thrummed through her veins? Or would she be able to control it, to wield it without falling prey to its destructive potential? As she entered the hall, she was greeted by Xavier, who stood at the far end of the room. His tall, imposing figure radiated authority, but there was a softness in his eyes when they landed on her. He had been waiting for her.“Timbre,” he said, his voice calm but laced with concern. “Alison told me what happened. You saw them, didn’t yo

The days that followed were a blur of intense training and preparation. Timbre could feel the weight of the power inside her growing stronger with each passing moment, as if the ancient energy was slowly waking up, stretching its limbs after centuries of sleep. But despite the growing intensity, she still had no idea how to control it.Alison had taken the lead in guiding her, bringing forth old texts and artifacts the pack had kept hidden for generations. The forgotten wolves were an enigma, even to the most learned among the council. Their legacy was shrouded in mystery, with only fragments of stories passed down through whispers and shadows. But what was clear was that they were beings of immense power, beings who had once stood at the top of the natural order before their fall.“The forgotten wolves weren’t just feared for their strength,” Alison explained one evening, her voice quiet but firm as they sat in a secluded part of the pack’s vast library. By the time Timbre reached the grand hall, dusk had already settled over the pack’s territory, painting the sky in hues of deep purple and grey. Her steps were purposeful as she crossed the clearing toward the hall, though her heart thundered with uncertainty.Inside, the council members had gathered, their faces etched with concern. The air was thick with tension, a palpable unease rippling through the room. Xavier sat at the head of the long wooden table, his golden eyes fixed on her the moment she entered. He looked stronger, more present than he had in days, but there was still a shadow behind his gaze—an echo of the darkness that had been consuming him. Alison stood beside him, her silver eyes studying Timbre with a mixture of worry and curiosity.Timbre hesitated only for a moment before stepping further into th

The morning sun filtered weakly through the dense canopy of trees as Timbre made her way toward the outskirts of the pack’s territory. Her thoughts were a jumble of confusion and fear, swirling in a tempest that wouldn’t let up.She wasn’t just Timbre the lone wolf anymore. She was something tied to the forgotten wolves, beings who had once wielded untold power but had been erased from history. It was as though the very ground she walked on was shifting beneath her feet, and she didn’t know how to stop it.The forest was quiet this morning, unnervingly so. Normally, birds would sing in the trees, and the rustle of small creatures moving about would fill the air, but today, there was nothing. The silence unnerved her, and she found herself glancing over her shoulder more than once. She hadn’t gone far when she felt it—a prese

She could feel the bond between them, stronger now, more intense than before. It was a living, breathing thing, and yet she couldn’t fully understand it. The depth of it frightened her. This was no ordinary mate bond, and the power she had drawn from it had barely scratched the surface.Xavier looked at her, his golden eyes filled with a mixture of relief and wariness. He shifted on the bed, slowly sitting up as if testing his strength, and Timbre quickly moved to support him, her grip tightening around his hand.“I’m fine,” he muttered, though his voice was still raspy. “Whatever you did, it’s like you pulled me back from… something dark. I can feel it—I'm not completely free of it yet, but I can think clearly again.”Timbre swallowed hard, her pulse racing. “I don’t know what happened either,” she admitted, her voice soft. “I fe

Timbre stood at the edge of the cliff, her heart racing in time with the powerful winds whipping around her. The ancient energy coursing through her veins had been restless all day, urging her toward something unknown. The air felt charged with magic, much like the energy within her, swirling, growing, and waiting to be harnessed. She had come to this cliff to find peace, to clear her mind, but instead, the pressure inside her only intensified. The bond she shared with Xavier was like a heavy weight, one that pulled at her, reminding her that she wasn’t alone anymore. The forest felt alive as Timbre stood at the center of the clearing, the energy coursing through her veins unlike anything she had ever experienced. It was as if the earth beneath her feet pulsed in rhythm with her heart, and the air around her buzzed with an electric charge. The power within her was vast, untamed, but for the first time, it did not feel like something to fear. It felt like an extension of herself.Alison watched her carefully, her eyes narrowing as she studied the changes taking place. The power that Timbre was channeling was ancient, older than the pack, older than any of the wolves in their realm. And now it was awake, coiling and uncoiling like a serpent within her.“Good,” Alison murmured, breaking the silence. “You’re in control.”Timbre opened her eyes slowly, exhaling in relief. “It doesn’t feel as wild anymore,” she admitted, he

The realization still unsettled her, and each day, the weight of what she had become pressed down harder on her shoulders. She glanced behind her, feeling the presence of the pack looming in the distance.
