Timbre~

My heart froze as the guards hurriedly brought Alpha Xavier into my room. His movements were labored, his face flushed, and his eyes emitted a fiery red glow.

I had witnessed his moments of panic before, but this was an entirely different experience. It seemed as if he was tormented by something, radiating an intense fear.

I was relieved that I managed to calm him down, but what caught me completely off guard was when he expressed gratitude and sealed it with a kiss. I never anticipated such a gesture.

Feeling a sense of relief, I watched as he distanced himself from me, breaking our eye contact while standing up. I was too stunned to speak or move, simply staring at him, awaiting an explanation for what had just occurred. However, he remained silent and slowly exited the room without looking back.

Left to decipher the event on my own, I rose to my feet and approached the mirror. Standing in front of it, I cautiously ran my fingers over my lips, trying to comprehend the meani

I have called this meeting because there are some important matters that we need to discuss."As I looked around the room, I could sense a slight tension in the air. The pack members were focused and attentive, their eyes fixed on me, waiting to hear what I had to say."I want to start by expressing my gratitude for all the hard work and dedication each of you has shown," I continued. ~Timbre~ I approached the window upon hearing voices emanating from inside the house. Through the glass, I observed several individuals exiting the premises, engaged in a lively and animated conversation. Intrigued, I shifted my attention to the sound of the door opening behind me, discovering Fabian's familiar face wearing a wide smile."Good morning, Timbre," he greeted me cheerfully, to which I responded with a reciprocal smile. "Good morning, Fabian. How are you today?""I have never been better. We just concluded a pack meeting, and your presence became a topic of discussion," he revealed.Surprised, I raised my eyebrows in curiosity. "Really? What was discussed?""Not much, to be honest. They questioned why Xavier brought in a stranger without their consent. However, in the grand scheme of things, it's not their concern. What Xavier does is solely his business. We have always known him to be a capable Alpha, and that should suffice," Fabian explained, prompting me to carefull

~Xavier~ Positioned in front of the expansive window in my study room, I held my phone to my ear, anticipating Daniella's response. I needed her to elucidate the perplexing situation involving me and her witch friend. As expected, she answered the call promptly."Hey, Alpha Xavier! Good day! What brings about this pleasant call?" she playfully inquired, causing me to scoff."Please, Daniella. I'm not in the mood for playful banter," I retorted coldly."What's troubling you this time? Is it about that girl? What was her name again?""Timbre. Yes, it concerns her. I don't understand what's been happening to me lately, Daniella. I can't seem to get her out of my mind. Ever since you left, she's been constantly on my thoughts. Why? What does it mean?" I frustratingly inquired, and I could hear a soft chuckle escape her lips."Take it easy, Xavier. I want to grasp the situation clearly. What do you mean by 'she's always been in your head'? What do you see? What thoughts do you have about

The echo of their destruction, the devastation they had wrought upon the land, clung to her thoughts like a persistent shadow. She couldn’t help but wonder: would she follow the same path as her ancestors, consumed by the power that now thrummed through her veins? Or would she be able to control it, to wield it without falling prey to its destructive potential? As she entered the hall, she was greeted by Xavier, who stood at the far end of the room. This was no ordinary mate bond, and the power she had drawn from it had barely scratched the surface.Xavier looked at her, his golden eyes filled with a mixture of relief and wariness. He shifted on the bed, slowly sitting up as if testing his strength, and Timbre quickly moved to support him, her grip tightening around his hand.“I’m fine,” he muttered, though his voice was still raspy. “Whatever you did, it’s like you pulled me back from… something dark. I can feel it—I'm not completely free of it yet, but I can think clearly again.”Timbre swallowed hard, her pulse racing. “I don’t know what happened either,” she admitted, her voice soft. “I fe
