The atmosphere was tense and Gravon who stood by the side watching what was going on silently walked toward the body lying on the floor.

"We made sure there was nothing on him before putting him into the dungeon so how exactly did this happen?"

The guards gazed at each other urging each other to speak up before one finally did.

"We didn't know what happened but when we saw him groaning we tried all we could even opening the door to the dungeon just so we could save him but before we got in, he had drunk it already" he recounted to Hrolf who was silent.

He could sense foul play but still, he couldn't fix his hands on what exactly had happened. He took a deep breath trying to calm down his nerves so he could think rationally.

His gaze moved to the guard's face and he noted that they had blank looks on their faces which made it hard for him to decipher if they were telling the truth.

Gravon shook his head, he had tried all he could just to find out what had happened but he couldn't

Cassie's voice kept echoing as Hrolf made his way out of the dungeons with Ashina holding his arms, he regretted a lot of things. "It is morning already," Ashina gazed at the sun which was high up in the sky, its light illuminating the pack house and her eyes drifted to the courtyard where she had been kidnapped. Everything had happened within a twinkle of an eye and before she could attempt to run, she found out that she was on Ramon's back, Hrolf had clung onto her last night not wanting to let go because according to him, he couldn't think properly without her by his side. She flashed a smile at him, her lips turning into a lopsided grin when she saw Hrolf staring at her "What is it?" She asked Hrolf, stopping when he did, she let him hold her hands, her heart beating fast when he took steps closer to her. "We are outside" she reminded him when he walked closer but Hrolf had a smile on his face. "As though I have ever cared about that" he bluffed, before placing his lips gen

  • The Loathed Luna    Broken trust

Hrolf walked out of the office with his mind centered in a particular direction. Cassie's room. It would be easy to search for the documents especially now that she was in the dungeon. He wondered what exactly he had done to get someone like her in his pack. She had always been sweet until she became bittered when Ashina came into his life. A faint smile crept on his face when he thought of her, Ashina, his Luna. "Alpha, we are here," Erik said out loud trying to get his attention when he saw that Hrolf was daydreaming"Oh okay," he pushed the door open before taking steps inside. Cassie's room was plain and it liked designs just like others. He frowned when a scene drifted into his nostrils, one that was offensive and he turned back wanting to know if the others perceived it also, and judging from the hand on their nose, he knew that they did. "What could that be?'' Gravon wondered out loud as he walked towed her closest, yanking it open, her clothes were neatly arranged, and al

Ashina shook her head when she saw the look on Hrolf's face, one that held contempt and showed that he was disgusted by her. She took steps toward him not minding the people who were in the room with her but Hrolf took a step back. Gravon looked on, he was finding it hard to believe that Ashina had taken the documents because he couldn't see any benefit that she would be receiving from it unless she had made talks to harm Hrolf."Let me explain," she pleaded but Hrolf pulled her hands away from his wrist. "I am disappointed in you Ashina, I had a lot of trust in you, but now, you have shattered me, dashing all of the hopes that I had placed in you" thin line of tears rolled down her cheek, but Hrolf refused to pay heed to whatever it was that she had to say. "I would never hurt you Hrolf, and you know that you know that I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize your happiness" she muttered to him hoping that he would come to his senses but the next word he said broke her. Hrolf gazed at Ashina until she was out of his sight. It was intriguing how one could love one minute and hate the next. He needed time to think, time to process what he had just done, time to get used to the life that he was going to have without Ashina in it. He didn't know if he wanted her back. If he accepted her back, what guarantee does he have that she wouldn't do the same thing yet again?"Hrolf" Gravon took steps toward hi

Ashina ran away, far away from Hrolf, she couldn't believe that he didn't believe her, was the love he had so fickle to him that all it took was a little push for him to let her go? Her legs halted before the door to his bedroom, where they had memories, memories that she would always want to keep with her. She walked past his room, heading toward hers where everything had shattered. She ran her gaze around the room, tastefully furnished, he had redesigned her room immediately she had agreed to be his Luna but now, all of that didn't matter. She crouched to the ground, her hands covering her mouth as she let out the tears that she had been holding, the face Hrolf had when he stared at her replayed in her memory, this time it was more vivid than before. It felt like a physical pain that she couldn't escape from and it tore her heart shattering it into tiny bits. "Mother" Gael screamed while running on the flowers, stepping on them. He hadn't seen anything because his mother had pushed him fast away, making him stumble. He stared at the sheet which she had laid on the ground which still had her scent but she was nowhere to be found. He sat down on the blanket, gazing around while waiting for his mother to come back because he knew that there was no way she would abandon him. His stomach growled and he placed a palm on it. He hadn't had anything to eat and he had thought that he would be eating with her, but now he had to wait a little longer. "Sorry mother," he apologized as he opened the bowl, picking up a slice of bread from within, he chewed it gently just like his mother would have advised him to. He patted his stomach before shutting it, he didn't know how long his mother would take and all she had told him was to run, does it mean something was wrong? He wondered but he shook his head, refusing to believe that. He gazed up at the s
