Hrolf gnashed his teeth when he saw the food being wheeled in, he flipped open the covers and gritted his teeth when he found out that most of them had been left untouched.

"She had bits and bites of everything and ordered that it should be taken out, Alpha Hrolf," the maid said to him.

" She didn't eat anything, I told you to try all that you could just to make her eat, but I can see that you barely did anything," Hrolf had a smirk on his face as he talked to the maid who was silent.

"I did all that I could, I did everything but still it wasn't enough, she kept asking for you," the maid reported, making Hrolf frown further.

He was expecting this but he didn't know that it was enough for Ashina not to eat before going to bed. He couldn't go back there not when Cassie was acting stubborn and refusing to tell him what exactly he wanted

"Take them away" he waved his hands at the maid who quickly rolled the trolley away with her.

She had a wide smile on her face, it wasn't every day th

She flicked her eyes open when she was greeted with a dark room, devoid still of Hrolf's presence, she bit on her lips as she thought of what she might have done wrong to make him angry but she couldn't think of anything. Her mind was blank and she needed an explanation, she stared at the window before stretching out her arms to push it open slightly, she shut her eyes when the sun rays filtered through, blinding her for a second. She halted close to Hrolf's office which was opened slightly before glancing inside. She was hoping to see Hrolf seated inside but her hopes were dashed to the wall."He will be waiting for you, my lady," one of the guards uttered behind her, Ashina twirled around and glared at him angrily before picking up the pace."Gael, "Ashina called out softly as she pushed the door open, sticking her head inside at first while hoping that he was going to run into her arms."Gael," she pushed the door wider, this time a little wider than the last and wide enough for her to pass through, a sigh escaped her lips when she got in and met Gael sleeping on the bed.He was looking so peaceful and

"She still refused to eat?" Erik questioned when Suli wheeled in the trolley containing the food which Ashina had rejected, she shook her head at him. He continued scribbling on the paper he had in front of him, he placed the quill down abruptly before staring at Suli. His gaze ran through her, he forced a smile on his face as he thought of what to do, he didn't know what exactly he was going to do at this point. Hrolf had given him an instruction before leaving that he should make sure that Ashina was well protected with Gael at all times and he had tried everything possible to do so even to the extent of putting Hrolf's quarters under lock and deploying most of the guards there. He massaged his forehead with his thumb, his head was aching and he knew that he needed to do something before he would go down with a headache. "Gamma" Suli called out in shock when she saw blood dripping down from his nostrils, her face was stunned and she was trying to understand what was happening bu

He couldn't say exactly how Ashina had escaped because they had been watching guard outside for a while now. "We cannot say, but we have been standing here for a while now and we didn't hear any movement from within, we heard her talking to the maid who came in with the food cart but after then all we heard was silence," one of them told Erik who punched his fist into his palm furiously He shoved the guards as

"Don't take a step further" Ashina put out a hand out to stop him from advancing closer to her, a lot of thought was going through her mind and she regretted running away from the pack, she knew at this point that she had made the worst mistake while thinking that it was the best. "You should know that wouldn't be able to stop me, it is surprising that Hrolf let you out of the pack when he knows the dangers lurking in this bush, doesn't he care for you anymore?" He asked, provocatively. Ashina gritted her teeth as she tried to hold back herself from dishing out offensive words at him but all fell to no avail because she did soon enough."You aren't supposed to be here, what are you doing here?" Taking a look at the old man at intervals. "Do you think handing her over to the old man is the right thing?" He wanted to know. And at almost dusk, Gravon's men, who he had placed at the boundary of both packs, waved earnestly, cheering him happily. "What do you intend to do to you?" He asked although he knew what it was. Ashina glared at him. "He wasn't seriously thinking of saving her now, was he?" She wondered, she hoped that he wasn't going to do that. If he wanted her, he had to show that he wanted her in his life and the first thing was to hand Cassie over.
