Justin POV

I leaned back in my chair, as I scanned the latest batch of reports spread across the desk.

Reaching for my coffee cup, I sighed when I realized it was empty. Again.

Taking off my glasses, I set them aside just as a knock sounded at the door.

"Enter," I called, leaning back and rubbing my temples.

The door opened and one of my employees stepped inside, clutching a design portfolio—the kind used for layouts and concepts.

"Good morning, sir," She greeted hesitantly.

I nodded, waiting for her to get to the point.

"I'm here with the designs for the campaign," She said, stepping closer and placing the portfolio on my desk. "My team was hoping you could personally select the ones you prefer."

I raised an eyebrow, glancing at the portfolio. "Isn’t that the creative director’s responsibility?"

She fidgeted slightly, shifting on her feet. "It is, sir, but we thought your input would be valuable. Your vision is what drives the brand, after all."

I exhaled and opened the portfolio, f

Justin Martínez POV Noah’s voice crackled through my office phone, interrupting my moment of indulgence. "Sir, we have a problem." I glanced down at the blonde who was in the middle of...well, her work and raised an eyebrow. "Can it wait?" I asked, my voice calm as I motioned for her to continue. She flashed a smirk and obliged, her mouth returning to where it had been moments before. I leaned back in my chair, trying to push past the distractions, but Noah's voice pulled me back. "It’s about your family’s bank, sir. It's urgent." I couldn't even remember the blonde’s name at this point, but I watched her slowly rise, her eyes still fixed on me. "Fine," I muttered into the phone, "Give me five minutes." "Understood, sir." The blonde hesitated, twirling a lock of her hair. "Does that mean I should go, babe?" She asked with a playful grin. I adjusted my pants and gave her a quick glance—she wasn’t anything special, just a random fling. But she knew how to do one thing well.

Justin POV There was a knock at my office door. "Enter," I called, taking a sip of my coffee as I sat back in my chair. Noah stepped in, followed by a group of employees. I took a deep breath, setting the cup back down. "These are the individuals slowing down my company?" I asked, sharply. Noah gave a short nod. "Sir, please don’t fire me," One of the employees—a man—stepped forward, desperation written all over his face. "I’ve been here for nearly six years," He continued, his voice trembling. "I worked for your father before you and I’ve given this company everything. My wife is sick, I have kids about to start school and a baby at home—" I raised a hand, cutting him off mid-sentence. "I didn’t ask for your life story," I chuckled, my tone cold as I leaned back further. The man’s eyes widened, but he said nothing. "I don’t care about you or your family," I stated flatly, grabbing a file from my desk and flipping it open. "You’re fired. That’s the end of it." The room

"And good luck with your opportunity overseas. The children are going to miss you dearly." "I’m going to miss them too," I admitted, feeling a pang of sadness at the thought. "And please, don’t forget to give the toddlers their gifts when they wake up." "Of course," She assured me with a nod. "They’ll be thrilled." "I’ll try to stop by tomorrow." I promised, hoping I could squeeze in one last visit before leaving. Her expression softened, though there was still a hint of sadness in her eyes. "Have a safe trip, Bella." • The Light Through His Darkness   The Form Of An Angel

Isabella POV I joined the stream of pedestrians crossing the busy street, my eyes lifting to the skyscraper looming ahead—the same building where my dad works for Justin Martínez. The company had been built on Justin’s name and reputation after his father’s tragic passing. My sister Jean always dreamed of modeling for their campaigns, but she never got the chance. Today, though, I was here for my dad, who had—once again—forgotten his lunch at home. It had fallen to me, as it often did, to bring it to him. Jean was off somewhere with her boyfriend, leaving me to be the “responsible daughter” once more. After everything that happened a few days ago, all I wanted was a moment to breathe—or maybe to cry, if I could even find the tears. I felt stuck with consequences I didn’t deserve. My dad tried to reassure me, telling me not to think negatively about the marriage. But how could I not? For all I knew, the man I was supposed to marry could be a criminal, a psychopath—or wor

  • The Light Through His Darkness   Wedding Drama

Isabella POV Jean, my big sister, exhaled a breath as she curled my hair like an expert and I admired her through the vanity mirror. It was apparently the wedding day, the dress was beyond elegant and the ambiance of the wedding was perfectly arranged including my hairstyle. The food, the presence of the Priest, the cunning bridesmaids who were clearly hired for the day and the graceful music; absolutely dazzling. Around two thousand guests filled the church's grand sanctuary, a number Jean had mentioned earlier, while outside, paparazzi and reporters casually roamed, treating the wedding as if it were breaking news. As Jean finished curling my hair, I turned around in my chair, watching her silently apply a light coat of mascara to my face. Curiosity filled my gaze as I observed her and breaking the silence, I asked, "Do you think the guy will be a good husband for the next six months?" "Well, I heard he's rich and I think he's an employee of the Martínez company, so it sho

Isabella POVI blinked against the dimness of the room, stretching slightly under the warmth of the covers. Turning my head, my gaze settled on Justin, slumped over on the sofa in the corner. His laptop sat open on the coffee table, the screen dark but still on. He’d fallen asleep there again, his tie loosened and his shirt wrinkled, one hand loosely resting near the keyboard.I slipped out of bed as softly as I could so I wouldn’t wake him. Pulling a blanket off the chair near the bed, I walked over to him. For a moment, I stood there, watching him breathe steadily.I didn't know how he managed to push himself like this night after night.Carefully, I unfolded the blanket over him, adjusting it slightly so it covered his shoulders. Then, I closed his laptop and stepped back.Turning, I made my way out of the bedroom. The house was quiet and bathed in darkness. I walked down the hallway toward the kitchen as I combed a hand through my tangled hair. My stomach rumbled softly, looki

Justin’s busy with work and I’m just trying to…do my part." Her eyes lingered on me, searching for more. She wasn’t buying my vague response, but I didn’t give her the chance to push further."Stephanie...Justin's sister—she’s in a coma." I said quietly, placing the glass on the table.Mom’s face instantly fell, her hand flying to her chest. "Oh, Isabella, I’m so sorry to hear that. Your father mentioned something about it, but I didn’t want to assume the worst."She reached out to place a comforting hand on mine. "How’s Justin holding up? And the family?"I hesitated, unsure of how to respond. "I'm not sure, honestly. Justin doesn't talk much about how he's feeling. He's just...focused on getting her the best care possible."Her lips pressed into a thin line as her eyes studied me. "And what about y

Isabella POVThe car ride from the pastry shop to my parents’ house felt longer than it actually was. Dean and Ben sat in the front seats, as I stared out the window, my thoughts spinning. Seeing the shop closed earlier had been a shock. It was rare for Mom to close the shop during the day, unless something serious happened. When we pulled up in front of the house, Ben slightly turned to me. Just wait here."Dean gave me a short nod.As I stepped out of the car, I smoothed my dress and made my way to the front porch. The neighborhood was quiet as I raised my hand at the door, knocking a few times. It didn’t take long before the door swung open to reveal my Mom, her expression shifting from surprise to sheer joy in a heartbeat."Isabella!" She exclaimed, wrapping her arms around me before I could say a word."Hi, Mom." I managed to say, my voice muffled by her embrace. She pulled back,

His voice was low, his eyes lingering on me before he turned and walked away.I watched him retreat, then turned back to the doctor with an apologetic look."I’m sorry about that," I began, my tone calm and understanding. Isabella POV By the time we returned to New York, Justin and I headed straight to the hospital. Miss Sonia sat by Stephanie’s bedside, her face pale and weary from days of worry.Justin’s stepfather, Mr. Tom, was still on the earliest flight back, having been away on business. The doctors had updated us shortly after we arrived. Stephanie had been driving under the influence and crashed her car. She’d been in a coma for almost a week now. Miss Sonia filled in the gaps, her voice shaky but composed. The days since our return had been heavy and silent. Justin barely spoke to me, his focus entirely on his little sister. I didn’t take it personally; I figured this was his way of coping.I sat quietly in the chair by Stephanie’s bed, watching her fragile frame lying motionless. Justin had left the room earlier, likely to argue with the doctors again. He’d been restless, demanding updates and second opinions, as though sheer determination could pull her out of this.I sighed, reaching
