The Mark of the Pentacle

Carol then caressed her cheek and said, also to reassure her, "Paige is right, you are not alone anymore, we will take care of you. Paige will stay here with you while I will get you some new clothes, and I will also call another of my employees to replace me in the store and I will stay with you tonight. Let's get to know each other better if you don't mind, and when my husband will be there we'll explain everything to you."

Cassy just nodded and when Carol left the dimension Paige said to her, "You should really bathe in that water, you'll see you'll really feel much better after."

Cassy was also curious to see if this was true, so she didn't hesitate any longer and started to undress to go in the lake. She was relieved to see that despite the peasant dress she was wearing and that was starting to compress her breast, she was wearing underwear underneath, well it wasn't a bra but she did have a kind of white nightie that came up to her knee and it was already better than nothing at all.

So she decided to keep her white nightie and her panties to go in the lake because she was sure that Carol would bring her other underwear, and when she entered the water and she saw that the water was only up to her knee, she decided to sit down to fully enjoy this improvised bath.

And it took her only a few minutes to realize the benefits of this mysterious water. She, who was completely exhausted just a few minutes before, felt again full of energy and then she looked at Paige who smiled at her and she told her, "Paige, it's amazing, I feel so great, this water is really magical."

Paige laughed and explained to her, "The water in the pocket dimensions is always a purifying water, depending on the power of the mage it can heal small physical wounds, regenerate the reserve of energy, and it can improve the growth of magic herbs. By using this water they mature faster and sometimes some even become high quality magic herbs."

She added in front of Cassy's astonished look, "What you did to my mother's pocket dimension is surreal, thanks to you my family will never be in need again... Not that we were in need before this, but now my mother's store will be famous in the whole continent thanks to you."

Cassy, who had just thought of something, asked her excitedly, "Do you think I'd have one too? I mean a pocket dimension, that would be so cool!"

Paige then said to her while beckoning her to come next to her, "You did turn 18, didn't you?"

Cassy nodded and sat down next to her who was sitting cross-legged by the lake and Paige then said to her, "Since you've already turned 18, if you have a pocket dimension you already have its mark on your body."

Paige showed her the exact location with her own body and it was just located a little to the left of where the heart was.

Cassy quickly searched through the memories of the girl, but she couldn't remember seeing any mark in that exact spot... But since it was her soul that now was in this body and that she could still use her powers, there was a good chance that a mark had appeared when she had transmigrated.

She was really excited to find out if she had a pocket dimension or no, and so she slightly lowered the left side of her white nightie to see if there was a mark there or not.

And when she saw that there was indeed a mark that had appeared just above her left breast she exclaimed really delighted, "Paige, did you see that, I have really a mark !"

This mark looked like the one that represented the magic in her world, it was a pentacle. This symbol in Aurora was extremely powerful, it had allowed her to call upon the elements, to heal, to receive and channel energies, it was by using this symbol that she had learned to conjure first her white flame and then her red flame.

Its color was strange though, it was multicolored, it was really beautiful and she wanted to ask Paige if her mother had a mark like that as well but when she looked at her, Paige was wide-eyed and she was looking at her mark as if she couldn't believe her eyes so she curiously asked her, "Is there something wrong?"

Paige then closed her mouth when she realized it was wide open, and she then said to her torn between the embarrassment of her behavior and the amazement at what she had just discovered, "If I tell you that you are the one and only legendary mage in all Astoria, would you believe me?"

A legendary mage thought Cassy... Why does that sound so familiar... And then she paled as she remembered the words she had heard in her head when she had decided to focus on her apocalyptic visions that had assailed her just before she transmigrated to this world.

Carol reappeared just then and she was wondering why her daughter and Cassy seemed like frozen, so she cleared her throat to get their attention and when they both turned to her she saw the multicolored pentacle just above Cassy's left breast and she put her hands over her heart to try to calm her suddenly racing heartbeat.

Once she had calmed down, and that she remembered Cassy was still only a young girl totally unaware of who she was, she approached her and handed her the clean clothes she had brought back for her and she said in a soft voice, "This is for you, you can change here, with Paige we'll wait for you a little further."

But Cassy who had accepted the clothes then grabbed her wrist and she asked her in a small frightened voice, "Am I really The legendary mage?"

Carol put her hand on Cassy's and she said explaining to her, "You are a legendary mage, the color of the mark on your breast proves it to us, but it is the fact that this mark is a pentacle that makes you The legendary mage. The mark of the pentacle has only appeared twice since the dawn of time and both times it was when humanity was threatened, not only here in Astoria but in all the worlds in our universe."
