After I got my parents up to speed about what was happening at the party and more about what Paul was doing, they left the office and insisted that I call them when the meeting because they wanted to be part of it. That was fine as long as they were sitting and not making things worse than I thought they would be; not long after they left the room, my assistant Alexis came with papers in both hands.

Getting off my seat, I went around the desk, took some of the papers away, and put them on the table. "What's all this?" I asked her once she had a chance to sit down and take a deep breath.
