I

In a flash, Lexus remembered what happened a week ago.

“Yes Alpha, I was told that you summoned me for an urgent task,” Lexus  said as he vowed his head to the old and kind Alpha of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack.

“I learned that the Alpha of the Black Forest Pack is in wide search for the remaining breed of the Golden Wolves. The new Alpha wanted to keep the Golden Wolf for himself as a mistress to make him the most powerful Alpha. But we will not allow that. I will be passing on my Alpha crown to my son Drew and he wanted that Golden she-wolf to be her Luna to make him the strongest Alpha; even stronger than that Black Alpha, who killed the Alpha and Luna, the last breed of the Golden Wolves. Lexus, try everything to find the missing sole daughter of the Alpha and Luna of the Golden Wolves’ Breed.” Alpha Daedos stated. It was an order for Beta Lexus and failure is not an option.

Beta Lexus nodded. “Yes Alpha.”

“Lexus I know, you are just our newly appointed Beta in lieu of your father, who is now suffering from blindness. I have faith in you. Just like your father, you will be the greatest, most feared Beta of our pack.” The Alpha of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack patted the right shoulder of Lexus, letting him understand that he has full trust in him.

“Yes Alpha. Thank you for entrusting to me this assignment.” Lexus said remembering his father’s story about what happened to the last breed of the Golden Wolves around twenty years ago.

Lexus went home, still thinking about the mission entrusted to him by their Alpha. It will be a difficult mission; he might have the occasion to fight against the notorious, evil minded, Black Forest Pack Alpha.

“Father, I have something to tell you.” Lexus said as he saw his father sitting on his favorite rocking chair. His father is about sixty years old. He is still strong but because of glaucoma, he became partially blind since last year. As his only son, he was appointed to take over his father’s Beta position in the pack.

At the age of twenty-three, Lexus the mighty Beta warrior is still unmated up until now, just like the upcoming Alpha of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack.

“What is it Lexus?” his father asked, eyeing him, trying to check on him even with his blurry vision.

Lexus sat on the chair beside his father. “Father, I was tasked by Alpha to find the missing last breed of the Golden Wolves.”

His father looked at his direction, nodding. “I know he will assign you to do that soon. The Alpha told me before that his son wanted a Luna from that Golden Wolves’ Breed.”

“So, is the myth true father, that the Golden Wolves are the most powerful wolf, because of their mental powers?” Lexus asked curiously.

His father nodded. “It is not a myth Lexus; that is the truth. That was why many Alphas before made sure that the Alpha and Luna of that breed would not survive. The Luna however was wise enough to hand over her daughter to some hikers in the mountain, who were able to flee bringing with them the remaining Golden She-wolf. The Golden Alpha and Luna were killed but their daughter survived.”

“And she is the last breed of the Golden Wolves father?”

“Yes. Unless the Golden Alpha has another child with someone else, but no one knew.”

“I see. I am just wondering father; it will be as if I will be looking for a pin in a stock of hay. How can I tell that she is the last golden she-wolf?” Lexus asked with confusion in his tone.

The former Beta smiled. “Easy Lexus. First, she has to have golden eyes; second, she is wonderfully intelligent because of her mind, her mental abilities are incomparable to ordinary wolves or humans and lastly, you will see a golden mark in her bosom.”

II

“I need to go,” Daffodil said and turned her back from him. Lexus suddenly has been awakened from his reminiscences.

“Daffodil, you cannot just walk around here like that, it will be too risky on your part. At least always wear dark sunglasses when you are out of your room or contact lens to cover the true color of your eyes.” Lexus did not release Daffodils hand.

So confused now, Daffodil shot him with such an inquiring look.

“Come inside my boat; I will tell you everything. Please just trust me, I will not harm you. I just want to protect you.” Lexus spoke to her with gentleness when he saw her hesitation and confusion.

It was like a hand caressed her heart with the way Lexus spoke and looked at her with such care and adoration; Daffodil did not try to remove her hand again from his grip, instead she followed him going to his speed boat.

Inside the speed boat, Lexus guided her inside its small cabin. “Daffodil, only few have eyes like yours, or most probably you are the only one now. There are some with amber eyes, but not as golden as yours, Daffodil.” He started his talk.

“I know. So where is this talk going?” She seemed impatient.

“Daffodil, you might be the missing last breed of the Golden Wolves,” Lexus said this slowly, trying to let her understand each and every word that he stated.

Her eyes were as wide as the full moon when she looked at him. “Me? A golden wolf? But my parents are American Business Tycoons. No way that they are werewolves.” she was totally confused. Suddenly, her dreams moments ago haunted her.

Lexus thinks of ways of letting Daffodil understand that her parents might not be her real parents, but he knew hurting her will be inevitable. “Daffodil, if you have a golden mark in your bosom, probably then that your parents whom you grew up with are not your biological parents, because your parents were the Alpha and Luna of the Golden Wolves Breed.”

“Oh my God, No!” I cannot accept this!” Daffodil with tears rolling down her cheeks, tried to get out of the cabin but Lexus gently embraced her to pacify her.

“Take it easy Sweetheart. It will be truly hurting to know the truth. But we need to find ways to make you safe here. The evil Alpha of the Black Forest Pack is searching for you to make you her mistress.” He added that gave more shock to Daffodil.

“What? Me? As a mistress? Damn with him, whoever he is!” Outrage, Daffodil screamed.

“Shhh, someone might hear you. Do you use contact lens? Did you bring one?” Suddenly Lexus asked.

“I have. I fancied having blue eyes from time to time, so I have one blue contact lens. It’s in my stuff inside the studio.”

“Good. You need to wear it all the time, while you are here and we need to find a solution to mislead them.”

“There is only one solution Lexus. I will go back to my country by tomorrow,” she firmly said but Lexus cannot take that. She needs to stay here, until he makes her inseparable from him.

“There is no need to hurry back home, Daffodil. You still need to learn so many things about who you really are. We need to call and discover your wolf and let her out of you. You need to know how to shift into your wolf form.” Lexus explained trying to encourage her to stay.

“I don’t have that golden mark. So, I am not that missing golden she-wolf you were telling me.” Daffodil suddenly said.

“Better if not then because it means, I don’t have a problem proclaiming and marking you as my mate.” Lexus cupped her chin and kissed her, making Daffodil’s brain spin; she could not think wisely anymore. In her mind, she regretted telling him a lie.

I Daffodil suddenly stiffened as she heard Lexus’ words. “Proclaim and mark me? For what?” she exclaimed. Lexus looked at her with a spark in his eyes. “I will mark you and you will mark me. If that happens, no other wolf will even try to think of having you or having me, because they knew that we already belong to each other.” “Crazy, I belong to no one!” she hissed at him but he was not even moved at all. His smile never even faded. “Finding your mate indeed will make you crazy especially if we have our mate bond already,” he said while his smile was growing wide. “I don’t want to hear that mate thing anymore. Let me go, I wanted to rest.” Daffodil once again snarled at him. But he just looked at her seriously this time. “Let me accompany you to your studio unit and let me stay there and be with you until your flight back to your country. You need to be guarded as I am sure; the other pack already knew that the possible missing golden she-wolf is just around here.” “Oh goodne

I Lexus approached Daffodil and motioned to her to keep quiet. “Stay quiet and just sit on the bed, I heard a growl outside,” he murmured to her. Daffodil was stiffened. Fears suddenly engulfed all her senses. She cuts Dixon’s call and sits still as he told her so. Lightly, Lexus walked near the glass door and locked it gently. He further pulled the curtains to cover the glass door fully. He sat beside Daffodil and strengthened all his senses. After a while they heard again that soft growl, somewhat nearby the sliding door. Daffodil’s fear grew more but brave as she is, she tried to overcome what she feels and think how to protect herself just in case they will be attacked by wolves. She grabbed her bag nearby and got her pepper spray inside. Lexus furrowed when she saw what she got inside her bag. “Don’t spray perfume; it will ignite more of your smell to the wolves,” he whispered. Daffodil shook her head. “This is a pepper spray, something I can use to defend myself in case we

His mate is quite wise not to let him. “Daff if you will not let me see that bosom of yours, I will just take you now,” He said, threatening her as he pressed to her his hard and erect manhood. Daffodil’s eyes widened in shock when she felt his full readiness to take her. “Oh no, release me now Lexus!” she scowled at him trying to break free from his arms. But Lexus is too strong and Daffodil could not break free from his tight embrace “Oh no Sweetheart; either you show me your bosom or I will take you now.” His voice seemed to be unbendable as he looked at her with ferocity. “Hah, are you really planning to rape me?” Daffodil asked mockingly. Lexus grinned at her, “I don’t think I need to Sweetheart. You will just give in, I can feel that,” he murmured, biting her right ear, sliding his tongue inside it that brought shivers into her senses. Daffodil’s jaw tightened as her anger grew more. I Lexus was not able to mutter any word as he saw with his own eyes the golden mark like a half-moon at the bosom of Daffodil. He fell silent; fears crept into his whole body. “Daffodil, you are the missing golden she-wolf,” he murmured with a shaking voice. “How sure are you that I am indeed the missing golden she-wolf Lexus? Just because I have golden eyes and golden marks?” Daffodil asked unconvinced still. “All the signs are with you Daffodil.”Lexus said as he sat-up releasing Daffodil from his arms. “What will I do Lexus? I guess it is time for me to go back home and ask Mom and Dad about this matter.” She signed as she sat-up too. “No Daffodil. You need to learn more about yourself; unravel what’s hidden in that golden mark; let your wolf out and develop your mental powers. I will help you Sweetheart.” Lexus exclaimed while looking at Daffodil with determination. Daffodil shook her head. “I am a very busy Lexus person; I ran companies and I have responsibilities to attend

I Lexus' heart thumped as he noticed a big man sitting at the back part. His dark color and his equally dark eyes are fiercely looking at them when they enter the plane. Good thing they found two seats beside each other; they don’t need to seat apart. When both of them were settled on their seats; Lexus tried to relax. He does not want Daffodil to notice his uneasiness. It is better that she did not know that they might be in danger right at this moment. Who knows, he might be just too paranoid. Anyhow, Daffodil is wearing a contact lens covering her golden eyes. Her eyes right now are akin to the ocean’s color. When the aircraft started to soar up, Lexus checked on Daffodil first before he closed his eyes. She was looking at him too. Smilingly, he put his left arm around her shoulders and let her lean on his muscular chest. “You sleep Sweetheart; we have a long way to go,” he murmured, to which she just nodded. Daffodil could hear and feel the fast beating of Lexus' heart. She no

She loves him; so, no way that another woman would just snatched him away from her just like that, especially if he just met that woman just a few days ago. After a few minutes’ drive with her electronic bike, Trixie reached the pack house of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack. She immediately alighted from her e-bike and ran inside looking for the Alpha. Her father is a Gamma and well respected in their pack since he was considered as one of the wisest men in the pack and most of all, his father is close to the Alpha. Suddenly Trixie remembered his Gamma Father. “Oh yes right! I need to tell things to my father so that he will be the one to relay it to the Alpha,” she muttered. So, she went to their house instead and looked for her father. She was bubbling while narrating to her fathe

He looked at him with an unfathomable expression as he was approaching him. “Alpha, apology, I just returned now,” Lexus said as he bowed his head to Alpha Daedos. “Care to explain Lexus?” The Alpha’s tone was serious and Lexus’ instinct told him that something happened prior to his return.
