I spit the blood in his face and laugh. “No matter how many times you command me, the answer is the same. I. Don’t. Know.”

The Alpha growls, his eyes glowing red. “She’s my mate. I have to find her.”

I shake my head, shifting my shoulders. They were sore from being chained to the wall by my wrists. “She’s not.”

“We need to let him shift so he can heal.” I glare at Elliot behind the Alpha. His face was impassive as always. He was the only one left who didn’t desert the Alpha, even Niko left and that was surprising. A felt an ache in my chest that they had left me and Meghan behind to suffer the consequences of their actions.

I know the Alpha didn’t have my sister locked in the dungeon like me, but I’m sure she was stripped of the luxury of the pack house and her job at the daycare.

The Alpha growls again. “He can suffer. They figured out how to resist my commands before. He’s doing it now.”

My brother thins his lips, but nods.
