The next day was the first day of a new week, a Monday. And Jai had promised Haku that he would train him. But since the little boy would be still at school in the morning, Jai and Darrion went to the southeast windlet branch to kill some time.

“Baji had told me what happened, and I have signed you two in our branch for temporary windlet helpers.” Gilbert told them, showing them two papers with their names on it in universal characters.
“What is this paper and how does it work?” Jai asked as he looked at the paper on the counter.
Gilbert smiled. “It’s a permit for you two. And it works as, well, official authorizations for you to accept requests in this windlet branch. Now you can take the request on that board over there.” He pointed to the board across the counter on the other side of the room.
