Upon entering, Jai was welcomed with a warm greeting. Almost everyone greeted him, and it was quite nice to be getting this many attention with no further advances. Although, he was also flocked afterwards by three windlets. Two girls, and one young man, who came to aid him with whatever his business here was.
“Oh welcome, Jai! What brings you to the Windlet Headquarters today? Do you have an appointment with Sir Carrola?” one of the female windlets asked.
“Or you’re here for more extermination mission?” the male windlet asked in excitement.
“Or are you here to simply visit us?” the other female windlet asked sweetly. Her question brought several of her co-workers to laugh.
Jai smiled and politely denied all of them. “No to all of that. I’m here to find Darrion. Have you seen him?”
“Oh Darrion is sending lett
Jai laughed nervously at her reaction and gestured her to the seat next to him. “Um, would you mind sit down? Maybe we can talk and then I can explain? ”Greta sat next to him, across from the boys who were smiling at her sweetly like good boys they were trying to do.Jai looked at the waitress who was still standing beside their table and was watching silently and stoically. “Um, miss waitress, I’ll order one more drink for this young lady please. Put it on my bill.”The bowl cut boy, Mel, looked at the waitress too. “Oh, oh, Tissa! One plate of cookies for us! Put it on Brother Jai’s bill.”Jai frowned at him, but nodded at the waitress for confirmation. ‘I’m asking them to come here after all.’The waitress left after receiving the confirmation from Jai, and the group of four turned the attention to themselves. Jai and Greta talked to each other while the twins started to eat the
Greta looked at Jai with a small smile on her face. She still looked a bit sad, but the mention of Doctor Prime’s name made her brightened up slightly. “He’s alright?”Jai nodded with a smile. “He’s alright.”Greta sighed with a more contempt expression, glad that her friend is alright. Greta was about to say something, but the waitress came back with a tray of food. Greta waited after the waitress finished and walked away before continuing. “I missed him. But it’s still not safe for me to go there right now.”Jai lowered his hand and leaned back on the seat. “I’m sure you’ll get a chance to see him again. But um, Greta, that’s not the only thing I agree coming here for,” getting the matter back on track.Greta seemed to realize that she was leading the conversation astray and not giving him a chance to talk. Sh
"So... What exactly do you want me to do?" Darrion asked as his friend walked beside him. The blonde had absolutely no idea what his friend was trying to do, but he accepted his friend following him for the moment. He was putting letters ino mailboxes when suddenly one of his friends, Nel, came up behind him and asked him to follow suit. He then found that Greta, the Oakshen family member that Darrion was planning to introduce to Jai, had already met the thunder boy and apparently both of them were planning something to get the rare ingredient for Miria's medicine. It was happening so fast that Darrion was still processing the situation when Greta already started explaining their plan. It resulted in Darrion getting lost in the middle of the explanation, and only agreed to do something for them because he thought it was important."Didn't we explain it to you back at the restaurant?" Jai raised one if his eyebrows and frowned the other.Darrion nodded a b
"Here you are, madam. We will send you a letter regarding the approval, so you don't have to come in daily to check it. Just wait for our notification," Greta said as she handed the older woman in front of her a sheet of paper. The woman read the paper she received and looked up at her, a slight confusion in her face. "Um, this paper... Should I bring it with me to get the approval letter later?"Greta nodded with a smile. "Yes. This is a receipt, so we would be able to look for your data easier when you come in here to claim the letter. Please do not lose it, mam.""Oh... Alright..." The woman nodded and folded the letter before putting it in her purse. "Thank you, dear."Greta smiled. "You are welcome. Is there anything else I can help you with?"The woman shook her head. "No, that will be all. I'll take my leave now. Thank you.""You're welcome, mam. Be careful on the way," Great waved at the woman and the woman left.Greta sighed
Taking care of Greta took around twenty minutes. Derra knew how to make her look simple but pretty. She was wearing a yellow floral dress that fitted well with her slim figure. Moreover, she was only slightly below average height which even made her look cute in the dress.Derra accompanied her downstairs to meet with their guests at the living room. Laughter could be heard echoing in the hall. The sound whom belonged to Greta’s father, surprised even Greta herself. Her father had not laughed like this for a few months now. He was barely home before the competition because he had to help with the preparation, helping out the kingdom. But even that still surprised Greta, because he did not laugh that loud that often. They entered the living room, which was a 4x4 meters room filled with couches, a coffee table with a small tea party set on it, and an aquarium. There were also decorations in the room like potted plants beside the couch, another potted plant beside t
Neither of the youngsters looked surprised at the answer, because they had already suspected it. But they wanted him to enact an exchange here, so they needed to act a little bit more. They faked a surprise expression at the same time. Then Jai swallowed his saliva to make it look like he was nervous before looking at James seriously. "I have not mention what kind of help I want to ask of you. Yet you denied it already. I hope it's not rude of me to question your reason of denying me?"James sighed and held his hands together. "There's a bit of a... History... Between me and Doctor Prime. I'm afraid that is a bit of a problem for me to consider helping you.""If I'm not wrong, he was your daughter's doctor. He was the one who cured your daughter. You know his capabilities," Jai said.James nodded. "He was, and I do. However, it’s due to that certain knowledge that I don't appreciate him as much as I was before. And it has put a... Strain, to our rel
Barun counted the stacks of crates in front of him before writing down the amount on the paper he was holding. Around him were many people going back and forth, moving crates and many other things besides crates. There were like, cages of small and average sized beasts, churns containing milk and other kinds of water, sacks of grains and fruits, and a bunch of other things. The old man was in the warehouse behind the castle, already finished submitting the harvest from Letush. Listing these crates was not supposedly his job, but the young man with this job had excused to relieve himself, so he was just helping him for a while. Thankfully, the worker was doing a great work in his job, so there were actually many things that had been listed there and Barun wasn’t having any difficulty filling which. He felt a tap on his shoulder and a voice called him. “Old Barun! I’m back!” the young man who had excused himself had arrived.Barun smi
Jai’s action had shocked the people in the room, and he knew this would happen. He ever saw this in animes and movies where the person doing this was already desperate for help. It was said that this pose shows weakness and humiliation in a man, and Jai could understand why it was deemed as such after experiencing it for himself. But if this is needed to change James’s heart, he would. Miria was an important person to him right now. Not because she’s Barun’s granddaughter, but she was his friend and a sister like figure to him by now. He might not see her that often, but she was always welcoming towards him and looking forward to his stories whenever he’s around. Jai would do anything to help her. However, due to the different culture in this world, the dogeza Jai was performing was not only considered as a pleading gesture but also respect in the most highest order. The exaggeration was necessary as it was a gesture only per
