The next morning, the participants woke up early. The Minister didn’t specify the time, but they did wake up like they usually do in the morning. Carrola was already there in the morning to tell them to start getting ready. The scholar was also there to pick Jai up for his request last night.
When Jai was talking with the Minister, he also asked for permission in taking the leftover herbs from their alchemy class. He knew Teacher Enji permitted him to take it, but asking the Minister was more official.
“Of course, I’ll tell the committee to pack it up for you. Are you interested in alchemy, Jai? I can have you join the academy at any time and recommend the best teacher for you if you want,” the Minister asked.
Jai almost forgot the committees were coming with them here, but he didn’t see them anywhere for the past week. But maybe that was just Jai not noticing them. But then he was intrigued
