ELENA's POV

His towering figure made his weight feel like a heavy stone pressing down on my small frame. Being pinned on the cold ground by a beastly instinct emanating from the elf king made me shiver from head to toe, bathing in a foreign tingling sensation that I couldn't comprehend.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked again, hating the fact that my voice was coming out in a quaver. I wondered if it was driven by fear or the struggle with an unknown emotion.

"You defy me, so you deserve a punishment," he replied with a croaky voice.

My eyes widened upon hearing his words. I tilted my head up to glance at my wrists and silently cursed, realizing they were immobilized by his firm grip. Looking at it now, the chance of escaping was slim. Even so, I decided to give it a try in case luck was on my side. Unfortunately, my hopes were thrown out the window because I just couldn't break free from his grasp, even after several attempts.

"Ugh," I groaned, my head slumped back to the floor in disappointment. "Osw—I mean, Your Majesty, please forgive this servant for whatever she had done and said. Okay?" I looked at him and said in a small voice, trying to be as cute as I could, hoping to have the elf king grant me mercy.

"Are you sure that you are sorry?" He asked, his eyes squinting at me as if to test my genuity.

"Of course I am," I answered, batting my eyelashes, hoping it would enhance my cuteness.

"What's wrong with your eyes? Did something get in there?" he asked.

The question made me second-guess my flirting skill, wondering if I was really that terrible. But again, I wouldn't have been surprised if I were, given that I had never flirted with anyone before.

Or perhaps elven women had a different way of being coquettish?

"Let's see what gets stuck in there," he said, lowering his body to get a better view of my eyes.

Now is the chance, Elena! Said an inner voice in my head.

Seeing that he was distracted, I plotted my escape again. I wriggled my hands once more, but this time, I also used my knee, hoping to strike him between the legs.

Unfortunately, luck wasn't on my side. His reflexes were sharp. He easily deflected my attack with his own knee and pinned my leg down while tightening his grip on my wrists.

"Ow!" I yelled in pain.

"Looks like someone isn't as sorry as she claimed to be." He narrowed his gaze at me. "You really deserve a punishment, mortal," he said, his face already next to my ear.

My breath hitched upon sensing the warm breath caressing my skin, making the hairs on my arms stand up. The sound of his thick, sonorous voice and the intensity of his piercing gaze made me shiver as if I were drenched by a bucket of ice water.

Despite the chill in the air, a wave of heat surged through every inch of my body after I was aware of the compromising position we were in. Oswin was still looming over me, but the gap between our bodies grew smaller. If I were to exhale a deep breath, surely our bodies would have brushed against each other. That was how close we were.

"What do you plan on doi—!" My question was cut off by my own breathy moan when I felt a wet sensation behind my ear.

What was that sound? Did I make that? Oh Gosh! This was so embarrassing! I chastised myself, finding it hard to believe the sinful sound that escaped my lips. But more importantly, did he just lick my earlobe? What's wrong with this guy? Is he a dog? Who sniffed and licked another person like that? Complaints formed at the back of my head once I recovered from shock.

"What a beautiful yet sultry sound you have made, mortal." He remarked as if relishing the fact that he had drawn out a luscious sound from me.

"I...I...did...not," I stuttered, trying my best to deny it despite knowing it was no use in lying.

"Your body is quite sensitive. Is this your first time being this intimate with someone?" He asked before tracing his lips down my neck, leaving a trail of wet kisses.

What's this feeling I feel? I thought to myself as his lips roamed over my neck, wondering why I didn't feel disgusted at his action.

On the contrary, I liked it.

So, instead of wriggling free, I closed my eyes and tilted my head to the side, giving him more access. I couldn't register the strange feeling that crept up to every inch of my body at every touch he made. I couldn't understand why I didn't want him to stop. All I knew was that I loved the way his lips grazed my skin and how his breath sent warmth spreading across it.

"Os-Oswin, M-my b-body f-feels w-weird," I stuttered. Each word competed with my breath and came out as a struggle from my parted lips.

"Do you want me to stop?" He asked, pausing his movement.

I opened my eyes and turned back in his direction to see he kept his head in the same position, making his warm breath continue to caress the side of my neck. However, his lips were no longer in contact with my skin. And for unknown reasons, I felt...disappointed?

"Or do you want to go all the way?" He asked, this time shifting his position so that we were looking directly into each other's eyes.

I knew clearly what he meant. Even though I was a virgin, I wasn't ignorant. I had read books, even erotica, which meant I was fully aware of what typically happened between a man and woman behind a closed door, especially when they were in this position. I was already eighteen, so I would be lying if I said I didn't want to experience those euphoric feelings the female lead described in the book. However, I just wasn't sure if this was the right time. I wasn't a fan of a one-night stand. I wanted my first time to be with someone I loved and who also loved me.

Although it was an undeniable fact that Oswin was handsome, I harbored no romantic feelings toward him. So, we shouldn't be doing that.

I should tell him no. I should tell him to stop. Then why couldn't I say it right away? What was with the hesitancy?

"You are forgiven." His voice and the sudden relief of weight from my body snapped me out of my thoughts.

"W-what?" I blinked my eyes in bewilderment, looking up at the elf king, who was now standing on his feet.

"You are forgiven," he repeated in a casual tone before walking away as if he wasn't the one who stirred up all the conflicted emotions within me moments ago.

I pushed myself up from the floor and settled into a reclining position, using my hands to support my leaning-back body. My eyes followed the broad back that swayed subtly with each stride he took, contemplating the extent of muscle and strength it must conceal under the silver robe. However, when he turned around, I quickly shifted my gaze to his feet, not wanting to be caught staring.

"You know what?" he paused as if waiting for me to look at him.

So, I did. I slowly lifted my head to meet his gaze.

"For someone who insisted on not wanting my attention, she sure did take her time to say no." With a smirk, he turned back toward the direction of the bathroom, probably to go and help relieve the little guy between his legs from misery.

"Did he just…" I trailed off, my eyes fixated on the closed door of my bathroom. Clenching my fists, I took a deep breath to suppress my anger and prevented a loud scream from escaping my lips. Instead, I allowed my inner voice to voice the outburst.

OSWIN ALVINGHAM! JUST YOU WAIT! I'LL GET BACK TO YOU ONE DAY! I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE! MARK MY WORD, YOU PERVERTED ELF KING!

I made a silent vow to myself in the depths of my mind.

ELENA's POVOne week had passed since the incident. The 'punishment', he called it. Afterward, even if there were times that I was mad at Oswin to the point that I wanted to strangle him to death, I knew better than to cross the line. He, on the other hand, acted as if nothing had happened and carried on with his royal order as if he were living in his own kingdom. It made me wonder how much longer this elf king would come to terms with the fact that he was currently in the human realm and not his so-called Aldous Kingdom. It irritated me to the core how he kept bossing me around as if I was his personal servant. But what else could I do? I was the one who decided to let him stay here, anyway.I had already given up on the idea of sending him back to his home because no matter how hard I tried to research 'The Aldous Kingdom of the Elf Realm,' only 'no result found' was shown across all search engines. That meant I had no clue how to get him back to his place. I wished I could mail him

ELENA's POVThe clinking sound of the ring against the metal bar, followed by the rustling sound of the fabric, echoed near the end corner of a second-clothes shop as the beige curtain was drawn closed. Not long after, the same sound reverberated again as someone stepped out of the fitting room, dressed in loose black pants that barely reached his ankles and a stoic cactus print woven button-down shirt."The pants are too short. The shirt doesn't suit you. Next," I said, watching the curtain continually drawn open and closed by the same person. In front of the small fitting room, I sat with my ankle propped on one knee and leaned back on the chair, clearly finding amusement in the busy curtain."Too tight. Another," I commanded when Oswin came out with another set of clothes.Five minutes after stepping in again, he emerged behind the curtain of a fitting room. Beads of sweat were all over his forehead and eyebrows, waiting for just another slight movement to trickle down the white-ski

ELENA's POVThree days passed, and the training continued as usual, with me as the trainer and Oswin as the trainee. It was harsh, but it was simply out of a professional manner. That was what I told myself. I was set on making my students master the art of waitressing, becoming the best waiter the world had ever seen. However, I knew deep down I was enjoying a little revenge for the time that he had me running around the house like I was his personal servant. But Oswin didn't need to know that, right?Every day after and before I left for work, I passed on to him all the waiter skills I had learned over the years. I was surprised that he was such a fast learner. He passed all the tasks and tests I gave him in a short amount of time. So, his technical skill was ready to be set into the real world, but not his disposition."I lose appetite. It took too long, and I don't feel hungry anymore," I said, pushing the empty plate—wh

ELENA's POVHow I managed to convince James to hire our glorious elf king is a long story. But to put it simply, the story went like this...I told him that Oswin was my childhood friend from when I was living at the orphanage. He came here to look for a job but was robbed of everything when he arrived. To make it even more sympathetic, I also added that Oswin was hit on the head when the thievery happened, making him suffer from partial amnesia. On top of that, I also mentioned that Oswin might act otherworldly and behave strangely because of his head's impact. In short, I told James that Oswin was occasionally crazy. However, I reassured James that he wasn't dangerous, so he wouldn't be a threat to the restaurant or the customers. I still vividly remember how James' eyes clouded with tears after listening to this tragic story as if he had just watched a soap opera. Thinking back, I wondered if I had a talent for writing dramatic fiction, the kind of heartbreaking story that puts rea

THIRD PERSON's POV"Excuse me, sir, you'll have to wait in line." said a gentle-faced boy with roundish-almond eyes and black hair, his hands holding a board of customers' waitlist. His thick eyebrows furrowed, forming a crease on the forehead of his round face shape. His brown eyes followed the three men who seemed to disregard his words."Why do I have to wait in line? I see that table over there is free anyway," said a guy in a grey T-shirt and light blue jeans. A three-day-old beard and mustache covered his oblong face, making his dark brown Asian eyes and the whole complexion more intimidating."No, sir. We are cleaning it for the next customer whose name is on the list here," replied the boy, pointing to a clipboard in his hand. "You need to register your name and wait for me to call you when it's your turn. Just like those—"."Oy, so noisy. Why does a waiter here talk so much? Did he not get trained?" said the young guy with a similar facial structure as the one from before but

THIRD PERSON's POV"I've heard someone is looking for me." A guttural voice reverberated throughout the whole restaurant, rendering everyone speechless. The customers who had always been told that the new waiter was mute were flabbergasted upon hearing him speak for the first time. However, the astonishment wasn't just because Oswin could talk. What truly surprised all the customers was how one voice could be so entrancingly mellifluous. Everyone in the room, especially female customers, almost forgot the tension in the air and the smell of trouble with the appearance of the handsome, blond-haired guy who stepped out of the kitchen and headed toward the trio's table.Of course, everyone except the three people who brought the problem."Oh, so that's the new chicken," said Eli, looking completely unbothered at the tall figure standing next to his table. "But didn't the owner say you were mute? How come you can talk normally? Has the old man here been lying all along?" He sneered, shifti

ELENA's POV"I'm so sorry. He is really new. There are many things he doesn't know yet." I stepped between Oswin and Eli, preventing the latter from jumping on our elf king. Judging from the anger emitting from his eyes, I knew his patience was at a limit.Well, not that he had one. The entire high school knew Eli's patience was razor-thin.I had heard people say that men were more patient than women because 'men have the patience of a rock.' However, this case had never been applied to Eli."What is this K-Drama?" Nick sneered, eyeing how I tried to hide Oswin behind me, although it was futile, given his tall frame. "A heroine arriving to rescue the hero? Shouldn't it be vice versa? Are we doing a new trend now?"Ignoring his sarcasm, I bowed my head to the three. "I am sorry for the trouble. Allow me to apologize on my colleague's behalf. He is still new, so he lacks many things. But I will try my best to train him better. Please, forgive us," I said, hoping they would stop causing t

ELENA's POV: Seeing Oswin's bloodshot eyes, my fear increased tenfold. I knew he wasn't the all-talk type. I had witnessed it firsthand in the alley. If I hadn't intervened, a murder case would have appeared on the news. And it seemed a similar case was about to happen again."Don't," I said, grabbing his wrist tightly and refusing to let go despite the pain in my hand was killing me."Let me go, servant. I'll deal with those scums. How dare they hurt you?" Oswin commanded, demanding me to let him go."No." I tightened the grip and shook my head vigorously. I knew he could break free easily from my grasp, but he didn't do it. Maybe he was afraid the force would hurt me? "Don't do it, Oswin. I'm okay," I said, trying to calm him down."How come you are okay? Look at your blood. It almost floods the entire room." He looked at my injured arms, his face filled with concern."What's going on?" James asked as he ran to the scene. When his eyes landed on my injured hand, he gasped in terror.

OSWIN's POVAfter having my body pinned down by who I had always regarded as my innocent little human, I looked up at the one straddling me with my eyes widened. Truthfully, I clearly heard every word that she had said before we were in this position. Still, it was shocking to hear her words and see her actions."Elena, what did you just say?" I couldn't help but confirm in case my ears played a trick on me.Still had her face hidden next to my cheek, Elena was having fun maneuvering my boneless body part. I could still feel her tongue playing around the erogenous region of my pointed ear, leaving traces of saliva all over. It took her nearly forty seconds to stop her wet game and give a proper response to my question."I said," she said, moving her lips to the ear shell once again, but instead of blowing air, she bit the soft flesh with her teeth. "I wanted your body." The bite wasn't strong enough to draw blood, but I was pretty sure it was capable of leaving a tooth mark behind. It

Oswin looked at me in panic as if fearing his words must have gone wrong again. It wasn't the right time to say this, but his serious face turned comical in confusion, which made him look so adorable if I might add. Instead of replying, I moved closer, burying my face in his chest, and began sobbing like a child. I felt Oswin's hand patting my back soothingly and his lips showering the crown of my head with kisses."Can you tell me now why you are crying?" He asked once my cry turned down to a hiccough."I..I..am just happy," I said as I fought with my breath, managing to get some words out, although they were barely elucidated through a hiccough. A big smile plastered all over my tear-stained face, but no one could see it since I still had my face buried inside his broad chest.Oswin tightened his embrace and leaned down to smooch my forehead, around the area near the hairline, before trailing his lips down to my templ

OSWIN's POVI didn't bother to pick myself up from the floor, even after Elena disappeared inside the bathroom. My eyes blankly kept staring at the closed door, and my head constantly kept blaming myself for messing things up. This wasn't what I had planned. It took a completely wrong turn. All I had wanted to do was to talk and eventually confess my feelings properly. Seeing Elena going on a date with Brad made me realize that I couldn't stand someone loving her instead of me. I wanted to be the one for her. And honestly, I felt, no, I knew, that Elena felt the same thing. Unfortunately, I lost control the moment I saw that peacock mortal kiss her. I hated how his lips claimed what belonged to me. Still, I shouldn't have taken my anger out on Elena like this. I blamed myself for losing my temper on her, regretting being rough with the kisses on the couch to such a fragile and delicate human. Now, the action made her misunderstand me even more.I wouldn't be surprised if she hated me

If and only if I were in Aldous, accoutred with swords and magical power, this rich man would find himself being carried inside a corpse bag. Too bad there wasn't even a corpse bag in Aldous. He would have been wheeled to the graveyard or thrown into the forest to feed hungry wild animals. You should be glad I am in the human realm right now, Brad, I thought to myself, eyeing the man in question up and down without blinking.*******ELENA's POVWhen my eyes landed on Oswin, my entire body went jittery.
