Luna’s Pov

“Luna, if you are only marrying Xavier for protection then please don’t do that.”

Those were Cole’s word. They still were ringing in my ear even though several hours have passed since that time he said that to me. Just before my wedding, Cole had entered my room only to say that to me. That sentence was bugging me, irritating me, probably because I couldn’t understand his intension behind that one sentence. It seemed like it was a plea rather than a suggestion. It seemed like he desperately didn’t want me to marry Xavier. Maybe it was nothing. Maybe it was something but whatever it was only time had the power to reveal it.

I looked at my left through the glass window of the helicopter and there it was, eight of the top highest mountain in the world, staring back at me. Every time I looked at these mountains, I didn’t know why but I get a nostalgic feeling as if they were my home

Xavier’s PovWhen we finally came back to Luna’s house, everyone was waiting for us in the yard. Luna seemed tired so she went to sleep in her room. Before going she actually suggested me to sleep in the living room with Cole, Coden and Liam. I was puzzled by what she said. It was our wedding night but my wife suggested me to sleep with boys in the living room. My Lycan and I were annoyed to no limit. From the look on her face, I could tell she was trying to indirectly tell me that she didn’t want me in her bedroom. Maybe she was nervous by the idea of us spending the same night alone in one room. But we’ve already done that before, only she didn’t know about it.I wanted to follow her but first I had to talk with my father. I searched for my father and found him in Alpha Max’s study room discussing my coronation. Oh, I absolutely forgot I was supposed to be coronated as King right now if not for the revelatio

Xavier’s PovI flew my helicopter as far as I could take it without crashing in these high hills. Then I landed it on Dovan, a small village on the mountain occupied by Sherpa. From there, I started my journey on foot to my destination. No, it wasn’t easy. The trail was like a roller coaster. You either go up or go down, making my journey descending as equally tired as ascending. The 300 m cliff on my right was not helping either. The path was narrow and if I ever stumbled even once then I would fall straight down to the river and I didn’t think anybody could survive this fall.I was aware of the fact that with every step I took, I was getting farther from my home but closer to destination. Leaving Luna behind has made my heart hollow and emptiness has found its grip on me. But at the same time the beauty of nature, that was surrounding me right now, was gifting me a sense of motherly comfort. It was healing my heart and making me for

  • The Last Mates   Chapter 30

Xavier’s PovI was stuck in a time frame that was the only reflection of my past yet it was inflicting an enormous amount of pain in me. The scene in front of me was only a story of the past. However, it was a real story of my past that had a tragic ending. Maybe that’s why it was crushing my heart so much to watch it countless times. Like a broken film reel, it kept on being replayed but never once did it pause. And I didn’t think it has any stop button.“It all happened in past. Luna is safe in the present world.” Deus was trying to comfort me. But little did he know I could feel his pain too. I knew he was shattered too. He was ashamed that he couldn’t protect her in the past. It was my fault too. Even if he had control of the body that day, I should have helped him to save her.Once again she died in front of me, protecting me and I was only being a spectator of it. If only I could close my eyes then I would. If only I could hide away then I would. If only I could roll out of this

Luna’s Pov“Wow. Finally, I can see you dressed as a girl,” Killian said as he eyed me and licked his lips. I felt disgusted from his stare. “You promised to be my wife but you already married Xavier. You betrayed me but no worries. I have come to punish you.” He said mockingly.Cole growled at him angrily, warning him to shut up. He was ready to shift any second. “Killian. You smell like a rogue.” Cole said while scrunching his nose. Oh, so Killian became a rogue now. But how did he found our house? This place was surrounded by the cloud so it was sort of invisible to outsiders.“I live with them,” Killian said as hundred more rogues came and stood behind Killian. Rogue were lone wolves who either were kicked out of their pack or just ran out of the pack on their own. Some were violent while others were peaceful. But something told me, these rogue were neither violent nor peaceful. They were just feral, driven by a common cause. I just hoped that cause wasn’t me. “I’ve been following

Third Person PovLuna and Cole got out of the bus and started their journey. Climbing up and down those trekking trails, drinking water from the streams they would stumble in every ten minutes and eating pieces of hard cheese offered by local people. This was how they spend their whole journey to the lake. Neither was it easy nor was it safe but Luna didn’t care about that. She only cared about covering as much distance as possible so she could reach the lake before the moon replaced the sun in the sky.Cole was grumpy but he didn’t show it. After all, he was afraid that she would notice how he didn’t like the idea of her and Xavier being together. Heck, he didn’t like the idea of her with anyone else but he could do nothing about it since she wasn’t his in any way. No, she wasn’t his girl and that was the truth he didn’t want to face at all.He was in love with Luna and everything she did. With every pa

I had also seen her eyes communicating her vulnerability and her respect for me which I gain by supporting her in those vulnerable state. Xavier’s Pov“I am not your property and you can’t give me as a gift to some sick pervert. You have no right.” Luna cried. They say emotions make us weak.I wondered if those statements were true as I watched my mate crying in front of me. The love and protectiveness I felt for her were at their peak. Her vulnerable state was making me weak. It was hard- almost impossible, to not pull her in my arm and tell her the truth. If I did so, and God knew I wanted to do so badly, then all my plan would turn into dust. Into nothingness. But I say emotions make us human.Without it, we would be only an animal. A feral animal that understood nothing but instinct. And I was neither animal nor human. I was a mixture of both. A Lycan. We, Lycan, were a mythical creature. Magic ran through our vein. A single body was home to two souls, one beast and another human. Beast was controll

He growled. Then the earth shook violently and the wind blew from a different direction at the same place in a twisting motion. Thunder echoed in the distance and lightning flashed which was soon followed by a heavy storm. Nature was restless and chaotic as if….…as if something had disturbed the peace. As my gaze moved to Deus, an absurd thought crossed my mind. What if it wasn’t something but someone who has brought imbalance in nature?“Grrrrrrrrrrr” He let out another powerful growl successfully installing fear in enemies’ heart.Lancer hesitated for a second before he signalled his army to attack but no one made any move. They were scared, I could tell. When he shouted again reminding them I was the prize, only then did they strike.Deus protectively pushed my small frame behind his massive one. This infuriated or rather embarrassed me. I was their Queen. However, that didn’t stop me from hiding behind someone’s back, seeking protection from the war that was being fought over me.

  • The Last Mates   Chapter 36

Luna’s PovThe boys and girls were divided into two groups. We were about to play Lok Dohori. It was traditional folk music in which men and women flirt with each other by singing song. The fun part was that lyrics were instantly created by the lead singer on the spot. Not to mention they are always funny. And it continues till at least one side surrenders or runs out of the witty reply. It was my first time. In 17 year of my life, I had never taken part in any of mass fun activity. Honestly, I thought I would never see this day. A day where I didn’t have to be invisible. A day in which I could be free- I could be me. As a child, I would often try to run from home because home, at that time, felt like a prison to me. My innocent mind couldn’t understand why I had to be locked inside four walls. Those were dark times. But darkness is always followed by light. I looked at Xavier only to find his attention fixed on me. A genuine smile appeared on my lips. And just like that, his presence
