2024-10-29 19:42:56Thankfully, my eyelids got heavy. As soon as my eyes were ready to close and fall back to sleep, the alarm clock rang again. It's only four in the morning. I forgot to reset it yesterday. I usually work during this time because it's the time when my mind works best.
Without rising from my side sleeping position, I reached for the alarm clock on the bedside table and turned it off. I'm hoping to continue my sleep but before I could close my eyes, I caught a shadow on the wall. Someone is behind me! I teleported beside the owner of the shadow and clutched his neck, my claws are pushing deep into his skin.
"Isn't it too early for a visit?" I said in a hoarse morning voice.
"Sorry to disturb you," the man apologized in a low baritone voice.
"What do you want Prince of Terra Hella?" I said, not letting go of his neck.
"I-Um," he stammered. "Can you let go of my neck? Your claws hurt," he chuckled jokingly, but he was tensed.
