"Lorien, sweetheart? Are you awake?"
I heard a knock on my door repeatedly. With a grunt, I covered myself up with my blanket, not wanting to get up. I still want to get more sleep but then I heard my door creaking, I know it's mom entering my bedroom.
"I know you're awake, honey." She said as she opened the curtain here in my room and pulled the sheets away from me. "Wake up, you're going to be late for school."
"Ugh," I groaned, pulling back the sheets. "Five more minutes, mommy. I swear I'll get up."
"No more five minutes, baby. Now, get up and shower, breakfast's ready." Mom replied, picking up some of my dirty clothes on the floor and cleaned up a little before completely leaving my room.
I, once again, groaned as I get off of my bed lazily. After I've showered and blowing my hair dry, I put on a plain shirt with ripped jeans pairing it with black converse. When your mother's a fashionista, you wouldn't want to dress up like a geek or tomboy or whatever, or else, she will really make you wear the glittery and sparkly dresses as punishment. I ran downstairs only to see my mother sipping her coffee and watching television.
I headed right into the kitchen, getting a toasted bread from the table then sat besides mom, putting my glass of milk on the center table as I was brushing my hair. Yes, I still am drinking milk, don't judge me.
"Lorien, do you know this band?" Mom asks, turning her head to me and pointing the remote control to the screen.
"Huh?" I turned to her and to the screen only to see those guys on it: Zenith. "Yep I know them, mom. I met them just yesterday." I nodded.
"Oh really?" I nodded once more, drinking my milk in one go. "How are they then?" Mom asks, placing the remote control underneath her chin as if thinking.
"They're fine. They're good."
"And?" Mom raises her eyebrows up and down, I sighed.
"Mom, I know what you're thinking."
"Uh-huh." She hummed as I rolled my eyes while chewing on my food causing mom to laugh.
"Mom, stop it. I'm off," I stood up from the couch then gave her a peck on her cheek before leaving the house.
Just as I closed the door behind me, I pulled out my phone from my bag and plugged in my earphones. It's not a surprise that I'm one of those that cannot ever function without music, the road to school isn't that far but it usually takes me ten to twenty minutes. I had been walking to school since day one, and along the way I could see things that piques my interest. People in this whole neighborhood probably know me. I hummed, snapping my fingers, and danced at the sound of the beat in the song I am listening to. But then froze when a car had stopped right in front me, I frowned with crossed arms and removed my earphones looking at this black car in front of me.
The door opened and a guy hopped out. Harold.
"Good morning, Lorien," he greeted me with a loving smile as he was opening his arms then slowly wrap them around my shoulders.
"Good morning to you too," I replied as he lets go. "Uh, can I ask you something?"
"Go on, ask." Harold answers, shoving his hands into the pocket of his jeans.
"Were you the one driving? Are you blind? What do you think you're doing? You almost hit me!" I exclaimed which caused him to laugh, "What are you laughing about? Didn't you see me walking?"
"That is why we pulled over. We saw you walking." He explained with a closed fist over his mouth but I still can see his smile.
Wait, we?
"Hi," I heard someone say from inside of the car as Milo's head pops out from its window, waving and smiling at me. "Good morning, we're so sorry for scaring you." He smiles beautifully, the sunlight hitting his eyes as it shines twice as bright and showing off his white pearls.
I shrugged. "You better be," I perked a brow but with a smile, "Or are you taking your revenge on me for getting your shirt stained by my coffee?"
He giggles. "Of course not. What made you think like that?" Milo looked over to his younger brother who was standing by the car, "Harry was actually the one who saw you dancing on the street and told me to pull over to give you a ride to school."
I uncrossed my arms as I looked at the brothers, "Give me a ride?"
"Yep," Harold answers. "I hope you wouldn't say no to the two of the Ellis of Zenith," he chuckles.
"It's not like I have a choice," I shrugged and hopped inside of the car as the both of them laughed. I sat comfortably on the back seat, placing my bag right beside while Harold and Milo were on the front.
The blonde steps onto the gas and the car started moving, silence had taken over and it was eating me alive. Don't these two talk, or just like turn on the music player so it won't be awkward?
"You should be honored you're in the car with Zenith." Harry had decided to break the ice, and looking at me through the rear view mirror with a smirk lining up on his lips.
"Wow," I rolled my eyes on him. "I can't believe this. I am so happy to be with Milo and Harold Ellis of Zenith. I'm so very happy I could die." I sassed.
"D'aww, you don't have to be that happy," Milo replied together with a laugh.
"But I'm with two of the members of my favourite band, Zenith," I answered as the these two monkeys laughed over and over again.
"Favourite, huh?" I heard Milo whisper, as he looked at me through the rear view mirror and asked, "Say, what school do you go to?"
"I go to Daleny Academy."
"You've got to be kidding me," replied the man sitting beside Milo, twisting his body as he flashes me a big and bright smile. I perked a brow at him, "We are at the same school!" He howled.
"Oh shut up, there is no way that is possible." I crossed my arms and legs and added, "There is no celebrity that goes to my school, Harry."
"I'm being serious!" He shouted, as he tried getting close to me but his seatbelt began choking him. Not only in their update tour videos is this guy a dork, also in real life. "We really are at the same academy!" He added sounding so happy, and then unbuckling his seatbelt.
"So now what? I should jump in joy because the youngest in the group goes to the same school as me? Like yay Harry and I are at the same school oh my gosh!!"
The brothers, again, laughed at my comment, "I'm not expecting you to, Lorien. I'm just happy to know we go to the same school. I mean, I have my twin sister there!"
"We're not twins. I don't even have a brother."
"Aw come on, just think of me as your big bro."
"Fine but, we gotta get to our class. We're here."
Milo stopped the car just in front of the school's gate as Harry and I hopped out. Harry runs around the car as he stands next to me, holding the strap of his bag with one hand as he looks down and smiled at me.
Milo rolls down his window and honked, "Bye twins, see you later," he winked. That's so adorable oh my!
"Thanks for the drive big bro!" Harry replied with a salute, then Milo rolls his window back up and steps onto the gas, driving off to God knows where.
Just as Milo had disappeared from our sight I whispered, "Well bye, Harry." I turned around to get inside of the campus but then I felt a hand wrapping around my wrist, stopping me from doing so.
"What class are you in this semester?" He asks with a smile.
I jerked my hand away, hiding it to my back. "Why?"
Harry shrugs, "Because there's a possibility that we could be in the same class together."
"No," I sternly replied as Harry's eyes grew wide, "You are not in the same class as me. I've never seen your face before."
"Well," Harry shoves his hand into the pocket of his hoodie, "-that's because I've been gone for God knows how long. I've been excused from school."
Oh I forgot, he's in a band. He has been gone for a tour for a month or two. How stupid of me.
I shake my head to hide my embarrassment, "Th-then why don't you go to the faculty and staff and ask?" I suggested before I ran a hand through my hair and pointing towards the direction of the faculty.
Harry's face brightens, "Good idea. Let's go." He took my again once more but before he could take one step, I pulled it away as he grew confused.
"Woah," I put my hands up in surrender, "I'm not coming with you. I have a class to go to."
"Oh come on, it's not gonna take long, I promise." Harry grunted, stomping his right foot on the ground. Does he know he's looking like a little kid right now? But I rolled my eyes on him and ran to the faculty and staff's room on the other building of the school with this dork.
And oh guess what, we are really in the same class.
Isn't this too coincidental?
"I told you we could be in the same class!" Harry chirped and tried to keep his pace with me.
"Oh shut up, Ellis and walk faster! We're going to be late!"
As we get to the classroom, the teacher was already dicussing in front. I froze, I didn't want to enter the room. How could I forget that today is Monday and my first class for today is Mrs. Logan's? I'm done for. I have problems in waking up early and came late to her classes for several times, but I know that if I were to tell her that I'd woken up late, I would spend a week in the detention for sure. I closed my fist, but then Harry took my hand then again and opened the door which surprised me.
"What are you doin-"
"Good morning, ma'am, we're sorry we're late!" Harry shouts as I get back behind him to hide my face from Mrs. Logan.
"Miss Daniel," she calls and I flinched. "Late again, aren't we?" She asked; I slowly raised my head as I see her with an eyebrow raised at me and arms are crossed. I put my head back down in embarrassment.
"We're terribly sorry for being late," Harry whispers then adds in, "It's my fault." I looked up at him and shook his body. What is he saying?
Mrs. Logan places a hand on her waist, glaring at Harry. "And you are?"
"Harold Topher Ellis, ma'am."
"Harold...Topher...Ellis?"
"Yes, ma'am." Harry nodded.
"That guy in Zenith!?" I heard a girl inside the room screamed.
"Holy! The youngest of them all!?" Another has shouted, as the rest of the girls in this classroom had pulled out their phones and flashes of camera had greeted the celebrity.
"Silence!" Mrs. Logan exclaimed as she threw her hands up in the air, then she looked at Harry, "Well then Mr. Ellis, it seems to me that Miss Daniel and you already know each other, then take the seat right beside her." Mrs. Logan stated.
"Gladly, ma'am," Harry cheered and he pulled me inside of the room with him, "Where is your seat?"
I pulled my hand back, "Stop holding my hand," I glared at him.
"Oops," he puts his hands up in surrender. "Sorry," he whispers and I could feel steam coming out of my ears. Gosh.
The class went on yet Harry is just so quiet, listening to whatever the teacher in front is saying. I had my chin resting on the palm of my right hand, with my elbow on the desk for support. I had been watching him for almost an hour now, I don't know but I just can't believe that he would be like this at school. He's being the total opposite of the Harold Ellis that we see from all of their videos uploaded in their ViewTube channel- funny, talkative and one who makes a lot of faces at the camera. I never thought he'd really be like this in school.
Until the bell rang, lunch time.
I was fixing my things when Harry grabbed hold of my hand and pulled me with him running to the cafeteria. This guy really likes holding my hand even though I told him not to, sigh.
"What the heck? Why'd you drag me here with you?" I asked him as he finally lets go of my hand.
"To eat, obviously." He replied, bouncing up and down like a kid.
Oh look, he's still Harold Ellis - the food monster.
"You go eat," I slung my bag onto my shoulder, obviously it fell after being dragged all the way here by Harry. "I'll be at the library," I finished.
"No way!" He exclaims, pulling me back to his side making me groan. "We'll eat together and you cannot do anything about it!"
I crossed my arms while glaring at him then he holds up his pointer finger in front of my face as he said, "Wait here and I'll order," he turns around and was about to leave the table but then he spins himself around one more time just to say, "I will, pay," I smirked then he sprinted into the line.
I just shook my head as I broke into fits of laughter, although he's a bit of a dork, he's got an adorable side. Maybe it will not be so bad- being friends with Harry and his brothers. In fact, thousands of girls would love to be in the position I'm in right now. The Ellis' were known to be gentlemen, nice and kind, humble, and I think they all know how to treat a girl right. Not that I'm wishing to become one of the brothers' girlfriend, that is just my opinion since they really cherish their mother and grandmother. With a sigh, I looked away from Harry then pulled out a book from my bag, and opened it from the last page I've read.
"Get that book back inside of your bag 'cause food's here," I groaned just as Harry snatched my book from me and put it inside of my bag. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Harry places a plate in front of me with a smile on his face, "I hope you like lasagna, I don't know what you like so I have just thought of that."
"Cool, I like lasagna," I smiled back to him as he sits down on the seat across me and then we started digging.
And honestly, it is such a good thing that the students here do not pay too much attention to Harry- more importantly, to me. It's all because I have been with him the entire day, but who knows, some people could be out there spreading weird gossips about me. As we finished our lunch, we've gone to our own classes and waited for three more hours for the bell to ring and for the class to end.
The last bell rang and my eyes grew big and wide when I saw Harry standing by the door of my class, I shake my head in amusement before walking over to the door. I leaned against the doorframe, crossing my legs and smirking at him, "I never thought Harold Ellis is going to be like this in school," I finally let that out.
He looked at me and smiled, "You were shocked, weren't you?" He chuckles, "Well, I wanted to prove to them that even though I'm in a band that goes all over around the world, I can still have an excellent performance in school."
"I see," I nodded in response. "But what does waiting for me out here has to do with that?"
Harry lets out another laugh, removing his hands in his back pocket. "Well I'm here to pick you up, obviously."
"Why did you have to do that?" I crossed my arms.
"Because I wanted to," he smiles before taking my hand, "Let's go," he finishes as he pulls me along with him.
When we got to the school's gate, I saw a familiar car from across the street. I stood on my toes as Harry noticed what I was doing, "That's not going to make you any more taller," he teased as I roll my eyes on him.
"Quiet," I glared up at him. "Hey Harry, isn't that Milo's car?"
"Oh yeah," my face lit up. Milo's here, wait did I just get excited over the fact that I could see Milo?
Harry and I got out of the campus as this big guy beside waved at his brother who was inside of the car still. Then the door opens and somebody hops out, but hey, it was not Milo but Tybalt.
"Hey big bro," Harry fist bumped with his older brother when we got across the road, "Thanks for picking me up."
"Yeah, sure," Tybalt replied in short, "Get in and we'll go straight home, Milo's busy writing lyrics."
Oh of course he would be, stupid me.
"As usual, he's the father of the band after all." Harry replied and suddenly puts an arm around my shoulders, "By the way, let's drive Lorien home. Would you mind?"
"I would but, I know you wouldn't not let me."
Ouch?
"Thanks, bro." Harry opened the door for me and I got in while he slips into the passenger seat. I just sat there comfortably at the back seat, this silence is eating me alive.
Why do I feel so awkward around Tybalt? Why is he so mysterious?
We all know that the Tybalt Ellis is a funny guy, one who always do funny faces in front of the camera just like his brothers, and one who cannot go on a day without smiling. But right now, he isn't like that- he is being the cold type of guy that shuts everyone out. He's looking so serious and I haven't seen him smile even once. And just like the day we met at Kofibucks, he won't talk.
What is with him?
Well I would have to say, the whole ride was damn quiet. It's as if the car was empty, Harry had turned the music player off and now it has become more awkward than before. As much as I wanted to start a conversation, I don't know what I should talk about. I wasn't as crazy as the other fans so obviously, I wouldn't know what's up. I just can't blurt anything out, I would definitely embarrass myself one more time. Especially because the one who was driving was Tybalt, if it was Milo I could start the talk unlike with this guy, he just gives off this aura that shouts "don't even dare to try talking with me". I keep on taking glances of him though, through the rear view mirror, it's a good thing he hadn't caught me. I'm so screwed if he did.I noticed that we're almost at my house, I cleared my throat, "Uh- turn right and stop by the wooden gate on your left," I told Tybalt as he nods his head up and down and did as he was told. Wow, what a good dog. Just kidding, anyways, Tyba
My eyes flew open, as I rubbed them with my hands, I sat up on my bed to look at my alarm clock—6:00 AM. Oh my gosh, this is almost a miracle! My mother would surely be proud of me for waking up before my alarm goes off! This is the first time this happened!I'm still half-asleep, I'm sorry..I stood up from my bed, running my fingers through my messy and greasy hair as I threw a bath towel upon my shoulder. I wore my plain black shirt as well as black skinny jeans and gray hoodie together with my white converse shoes, before getting to my hair which I had pulled my hair into a messy bun. A bun is too common but it's the easiest way for a girl to style her hair, especially if she was running late. Wouldn't you agree? Anywho, I slung my bag to my shoulder, applying lip gloss as I took one last look of myself from the mirror in front of me. I nodded my head before heading downstairs and I saw my mom reading her newsp
Just like the time that Tybalt was forced by Harry to take me home because Milo was busy writing lyrics for their new song, the ride to my house was quiet; all you could hear was Harry's snoring from the backseat. I really wanted to break the ice but then, I don't know what Tybalt and I should talk about. This is so awkward, oh my gosh. I kept thinking about what I could talk about with this guy sitting beside me, that I haven't even noticed that we have reached my home. Tybalt slowly turns his head to look at me and I gulped. "Ooh.. yeah! Yeah, right! I'm getting off," I unbuckle myself and got off their car. I bent down to thank him for driving him home but he was already on his phone. I pouted, turning around to get to my house's gate. I was about to go inside when Harry called for my name, so I turned back around and faced him. "Yes?" "Can we...hang out?" I chortled, "Didn't we just earlier?"
I was awoke when I felt my phone buzzing by my side, I groan. I was dreaming about the time when Milo has pulled me close and took me into his arms! I rolled my eyes and uncovered half of my body to reach for it from my nightstand and realized that it was a text message. But then, who in the world would text me this early? With a growl, I opened the message.Hey, good morning :) better get ready cause we'll be there in fifteen.I perked a brow.Who's this?I uncovered myself completely from the sheets, sitting up on my bed as I found a pencil from my table and used it for my hair to get it all out of my face, then my phone buzzed.Milo :)My eyes widened. I didn't expect him to actually text me or something, but he did. I was expecting him to only say something like, hey we're in front of your house or like, get ready for school, but no, he s
"Lorien, sweetie!" I groaned as I heard my mother's voice from the other side of the door. "Get up now, it's eight in the morning!" I grabbed another pillow from my bed and put it over my head, but I could still hear my mother shouting my name over and over."Lorien! Adasha!"I rolled my eyes, throwing my pillow to the white tiled floor with another groan."Lo-""I'm awake!" I yelled, messing up my hair and slapped my face with both of my hands. Then I pass them through my hair, soon scratching the back of my head before going downstairs."You're finally up, thank goodness." Mom mumbles as I sat on my chair and started eating my cereal then rubbed my both eyes and yawned."Gee... you never change, do you? Waking you up is really a hard task!" She ad
"We will be leaving tomorrow for tour."Say what?Turning my head to look at Harry, I felt his grip on my shoulder tightening, he was still watching the sunset. He was nibbling with his lips as he brings his head down and sighs, "Well.. tour is here," he whispers. My eyes widened, I really thought I had just misheard it but I did not. Zenith is really leaving for tomorrow... Zenith is leaving for their tour... Zenith is going to be away for a month and a half... My hands slowly dropped to my sides, eyes were still big and wide."Wha-what did you say?" Harry looked down to his shoes, his hands inside the pockets of his coat. "You've got to be kidding me," I whispered to myself as I backed myself away from him. Shoving my phone back to the pocket of my jeggings, I walked past him.I didn't want to believe that what I heard from Harry was true, as my eyes
I slide the curtain to the side as my eyes grew big and wide. "Wow," I whispered to myself, "What a bunk!" I added then I heard someone chuckling from behind me. Turning myself around to look, there was Milo standing right in front of me."We're sorry about this," he said with a giggle. He's so adorable.."Oh!" I gasped, "Don't worry about it. I can just clean this up and it would be a normal bunk again. And, so that I can go back to sleep."Milo puts a closed fist over his mouth as I heard him chuckling softly, "Woah there-" I perked a brow at his reaction then crossed my arms over my chest. "Are we having the girl version of Harry here?"I uncrossed my arms as I laughed at his comment with a shake of my head. Turning myself around, I removed the bags resting over the futon as I started cleaning this unused bunk here inside of the bus which is obviously going to be my bunk.As soon as I -and Milo, he's insisted to help- finished cleaning "m
Why does he not want me to like his own brother? Is there something wrong with Milo or should I say- is there something wrong with me liking on his brother? Does Tybalt know something that I don't?Oh who am I kidding?Of course it is only natural for Tybalt to warn me about this thing! He only cares for his brother, for God's sake, what am I even going on about? Milo is a member of a famous band- one that is known by the world, whom thousands of people are looking up to. Tybalt is only protecting his brother from any kind of trouble. He's that type of person- the one that cares so much about everyone and everything. He was just protecting his brother—"Lorien?"—from.... me...?I turned myself around as I heard someone calling my name, there he stood, his eyes sparkling so bright as he looks at me with worry. He waved his hand in front of my face as I did nothing but stare up at him.
It has been two weeks since the last time Tybalt and I have seen each other. Although he's sending me texts, calling me.. none of those can ever compare if I see him. I really miss him. He even shows up to my dreams sometimes at night, but the situation there is not much any different than what we have now in reality— Tybalt and I cannot be together. The dreams would always end in him, walking away from me. It scares me so much.. as much as I don't want to think about it, but what if Tybalt really chooses to leave me? I am aware of how much difficult and hard this is, not just for me but for the both of us. Thanks to these people chasing me around, we cannot meet in secret. Plus, I always had to call Milo whenever I leave my home, because that's what Tybalt told me. I wonder if Milo is irritated with me, for always dragging him along. Also, the articles that were going around the internet about me and Milo were all taken down. It is all thanks to the power of their father. I am gratef
First thing I saw this morning was a text message from Lorien— my fianceé. I could not help but feel giddy and excited inside. It had been such a while since she had sent me a text. Hi Mi. I know it is still too early and you're sleeping, but could you drive me to school today? I'm sorry to ask you but I do not feel safe outside. A bunch of reporters had camped outside of my house. My eyes widen in shock. These people really... I never imagined them doing this to Lorien. This could be because of me. If only my father hadn't broadcasted to the world my proposal to her that night, this wouldn't happen. Lorien could still live the same way her life had always been. I feel guilty. And I truly hate the fact that I am happy that she's asking for my help.. she cannot be seen in the public with Tybalt, or else that will cause a huge scene. Lorien could get in trouble if they get caught meeting in secret. This is why she is turning to me.. I don't hate it. It makes me happy but hey, I am just
"Hello?" It is four-twenty in the morning. I decided to call my 'fiancé' to ask for his help. If his idea ever works, then I would be free from this arrangement as early as possible. My dad is really wrong for wanting to control my life and do everything in his way. Milo is on the other end, I am not surprised to know that he is still awake at this hour. "Can you help me?" "Anything, babe. What is it?" "Let's end this arrangement, Mi. I want to go back to your brother.. please.." There was silence, for a moment I thought he had ended the call but no. I could hear him breathing. That must have hurt him.. he just confessed that he still has feelings for me and here I am, begging him to help me get back in the arms of another man — his brother. "Tybalt had requested for you to stay as my fianceé, didn't he?" That is right.. I nearly forgot about what Tybalt has asked of me. I really don't get it though, why do I have to stay as his brother's fiancé while he finds for a way to break
The door clicks behind me as I get my shoes off, finding my mother seated on the sofa. My dry throat craves for water, Mom notices me walking around the room. "You're back a little late, honey. Where have you been?" "Oh.. just stopped by, you know, somewhere. I wanted to take some air." My feet run to the stairs but mother stopped me by asking a question. "Have you heard from your teacher?" "How you called into my school to say you're dropping me out?""Lorien..""Mother, do you realize what you guys are doing? You are basically taking away my life. Is this what you think is the best for me?" "I've tried talking it out with your father, sweetheart, but he just never listens.. you know how he is.." "Mom, couldn't you try harder? Please.. I don't want to get to the point where I'm gonna think it was best when he wasn't here." ***The sound of my alarm woke me up, only to get reminded of the fact that I am now a drop out and will soon begin the life of a homeschooled student. Befo
"Daniel, Mr. Seo is asking for you.""Yeah.. thanks." It is not even past lunch yet, and the teacher is already wanting to see me. I don't think that I have done something against the classroom or school rules though, why is Mr. Seo finding for me? "Hey," The boy beside me throws an arm over my shoulders. "are you okay? You've been wearing that expression for days. Is this because of your engagement with Milo?" "Shush! Don't talk about that, Harry! Can't you see it's a very sensitive topic?" I cannot give them the same energy back, and it has been days, what Harry said was true. For one, am truly bothered with my engagement with Milo; and two, Tybalt has not been replying to me nor answering any of my calls. I really want to talk to him.. badly want to see him.. but it seems as though he does not care about this too much. Your girlfriend is getting married with somebody else, to make it worse it is with your brother, yet you are not doing anything about it. I get that he is upset,
"Lorien, I ask you to marry me." Milo kneels to the ground, right hand digging into his pocket and then pulled out a diamond ring. My head turned up once more but Tybalt has already gone, my eyes laid down on my parents, father was mouthing for me to say yes and accept Milo's proposal. Flashes of what I think are hundred cameras surround the both of us, and this no doubt, is being aired live on TV. Milo remains on that position with hopeful eyes, the words he told me earlier plays like a broken record and I just cannot humiliate him here. People already have been hating me for dating him in secret, I cannot add up more to that. "Are you getting this?" "Is the camera rolling?" "We're live, aren't we?" My shaking right hand comes forward, as Milo's face lights up with glee and carefully slides the ring down my finger. His strong arms pulled me into his chest as the crowd begins to roar. This choice was mine. I should not blame anybody for this. ***"Here you are." Milo breaks the
"What color do you think would go with your dress?" mother asks, showing me two shades of lipstick with a smile across her face. Today, I am getting ready for my and Milo's engagement party. Tybalt has been avoiding since the announcement, calling him on his cell never worked once. I can understand though. If I learned that my boyfriend is going to get engaged to another girl, I would be acting the same as him. However, it is just really sad how he tries his best to reject me. "Honey.. I know it's hard. But I need you to bear with this for a little longer." Mom rests her warm hand over my shoulder while I relieve a sigh. "Milo doesn't want to do this either, does he? I'm pretty sure he'll call this off in an instant." "I don't know, mom.." My feet pace around the room, fingernails in between my teeth before running a hand through my hair. "Tybalt hasn't been answering any of my calls. It's making my anxiety worse, and Milo... he doesn't seem to be against of this engagement.""What
The loud banging on my bedroom's door woke me up. I checked the time on the clock, 6:45 in the morning. "I told you we'll be leaving early today!" My father yells from the other side. The day has not even started, and yet my mood is sour already. "I want to see you downstairs in ten minutes!" The knocking disappears along with his heavy footsteps. Throwing a towel over my shoulder, I get inside the shower and wore whatever I got from the cabinet. Milo and I already knew each other, what's the point of dressing up? He'll be okay if I wear jeans and a shirt. "Oh Lorien...— what are you wearing!?" my mother exclaims, looking over her shoulder and pulls me back into my room. "You can't wear this! You'll be meeting—""Don't we already know each other? Milo won't be bothered." "Your dad is not going to let you leave like this! Please, do not anger him any more. He's already like this because he knows for a fact that you're against of this engagement." I raise a brow. "Oh, am I? Gosh.. I
