“In just a few short days, the long-awaited ceremony will commence. For weeks, anticipation has been steadily building until it is almost palpable in the air. Everyone has made preparations for this special occasion and cannot wait to get the celebrations underway.”

I shut my eyes as I heard the hushed whispers of the skulks discussing the upcoming ritual. I was confused as to how it was all going to play out, yet my thoughts kept returning to what Lowell had told me.
