Chapter 83: Acting Strange

'Alexa', the Lyncan King said, 'are you okay?'

Alexa caught herself. She had been about to give herself away in that moment of joyful realization. She could not tell him that she and not Camellia, was Lionel's real mother. 'Camellia, you vicious bitch!' she thought, furiously.

'Nothing she said and realised there were tears in her eyes. Those tears might be the reason for his question. 'Something flew into my eye', she said, wiping the tears and sniffing into her handkerchief.

More than ever now, she wanted Lionel to visit for the weekend so that she could lavish him with affection. She dared not be too expressive in the presence of his father before he became suspicious. She needed to get a way to kidnap him and fly to the states with him and his siblings. Where Hector nor Camellia nor anyone for that matter would not see them ever again.

'Daddy, I am starved', Lionel said. 'Could we go to a restaurant and eat?'
