KAVAN'S POV

After much manipulation from me, Sunny finally slipped and started spilling everything I needed to know. She said she overheard my dad and someone named Dax talking a few days ago. “I heard your dad having a conversation with someone; I think his name was Dax because that is what he called him,” she said. “What did they talk about?” I asked her.

She went on to talk about how my dad was hatching plans with the guy named Dax to lure me into some sort of trap. “I overheard him talking to him about how he was going to lure you somewhere and the guy named Dax would be the bait,” she said. “Lure me? Who is going to be the bait again?” I asked her. I wanted her to repeat what she just said so it wouldn't be as if I were hearing stuff.

“The person he was talking to at that time was the same person he said was going to be the bait; he also stated how you could do anything for the person because you both are very close, almost like brothers,” she responded. Everything was now obvio
