CHAPTER 125

AUTUMN’S POV

“Alright, we can go to the dining hall,” Kavan said. Kavan finally agreed to go with me publicly to the manor's hall. Before, I was not afraid of anything, especially his dad, but when he finally accepted, the wave of anxiety hit me hard.

“What if your dad is there?” I asked, shaking in fear. Kavan moved closer to me and reassured me that everything was okay to be fine. “Everything is going to be fine, Autumn; don't think about it,” he said.

“But I am getting scared about it. I was not anxious before, but suddenly now I am,” I said, panicking. “Just ignore him if you see him there; act like he does not exist for that period of time,” he said, reassuring me. “I am here for you too; I won't let anything bad happen to you, my love,” he added.

I nodded in response as I trusted him. Kavan was the only one in the manor that I could fully think of trusting. He is the only one that has always been there for me—he and Mrs. Potts.
