(VERA’S POV)

I found Rita in the kitchen, cooking up a storm. She smiled at me, and I could see the relief in her eyes.

"Vera, I'm so glad we made it out of there alive," she said, hugging me tightly.

I hugged her back, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her. "Me too, Rita," I said. "I don't know what I would have done without you."

Rita smiled, and we sat down to eat. As we ate, we talked about our next move. We knew we couldn't stay hidden forever, but we also knew we couldn't go back to the palace.

As we talked, I realized that Rita had been planning our escape for weeks. She had been secretly gathering supplies and information, waiting for the perfect moment to make our move.

Rita looked up at him, concerned. "What is it?" she asked.
