Elijah’s P.O.V

The car rolled to a stop in front of my mansion, the soft crunch of gravel under the tires fading into the cold, quiet evening. I stepped out, the crisp night air brushing against my face, and adjusted the cuffs of my jacket. The grand the mansion loomed before me, it stood like a fortress, a testament to my power, but tonight, I had something else on my mind.

Aaron, my ever-loyal right-hand man, was already at my side, his tablet tucked under one arm. His face carried that usual stern professionalism, but I caught a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes.

“The new club in Brooklyn is exceeding expectations,” he began, walking slightly behind me as I made my way up the steps. “VIP memberships are up by 20%, and we’ve had no major incidents. The Queens location, however, saw a slight dip in—”

I held up a hand, stopping him mid-sentence. I didn’t even glance his way, my

Damien’s P.O.V The early morning light filtered through the heavy curtains of my bedroom, casting a warm, golden glow across the room. My eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling. The quiet hum of the city outside was muted and distant—an almost welcome change from the chaos that usually defined my life.I turned my head slightly, my gaze falling on the figure lying beside me. Castiel. His blonde hair was a tousled mess, his breathing soft and even. He was turned away from me, his shoulders rising and falling with each slow inhale. I couldn’t help but smile. It wasn’t just the sight of him, though that alone was enough to stir something warm and unfamiliar in my chest. It was the peace of the moment, the sheer contentment of waking up next to someone and feeling… safe. I hadn’t felt like this in years, maybe ever.Leaning over, I brushed my lips

Castiel’s P.O.V The cold emptiness next to me on the bed startled me awake. I blinked against the sunlight coming in through the windows, my heart skipping a beat as I reached out to touch the sheets. They were cool. Damien wasn’t there.“Damien?” I called softly, sitting up. The room was bathed in the early morning sunlight, but there was no sign of him.I ran a hand through my hair, trying to shake off the haze of sleep. He shouldn’t be wandering around, not with his injuries. My eyes scanned the room, catching nothing but stillness. Then I heard it—the sound of running water. The bathroom.A surge of worry shot through me as I threw off the covers and hurried toward the bathroom door. I could hear the steady splash of water against the sink, and my chest tightened. Was he trying to bathe? If he got the bandages wet, it could ruin the stitches.“Damie

Castiel’s P.O.V The moment I stepped into the front office, I heard her before I saw her. “Castiel!” My heart leaped as Celia’s voice rang out, clear and full of excitement. She burst through the doorway like a tiny whirlwind, her braid bouncing behind her as she ran straight into my arms. I caught her mid-air and spun her around, her laughter like music I hadn’t heard in far too long. “I can’t believe it’s you!” she exclaimed, her voice muffled as she buried her face in my shoulder. “I missed you so much,” I said, my voice thick with emotion as I kissed her forehead, her cheeks, and the tip of her nose. “How have you been? Are they treating you well here? Are you eating enough?” The questions spilled out before I could stop myself. Celia pulled back just enough to look at me, her hands still gripping my shoulders. “I’m fine, Cas. Everything’s great here. But I missed you more!” She beamed, her smile wide and infectious. “Not possible,” I teased, hugging her tightly again. “No

Castiel’s P.O.V I can’t remember the last time I’d felt this alive. The world around me was a blur of color and sound, the bright lights of the carnival casting their glow across every stall, every ride, every corner of this strange little world. Celia was practically skipping beside me, her excitement bubbling over like a fizzy soda about to pop, and I couldn’t help but mirror her energy. We were two peas in a pod today, hopping from one attraction to another, tasting every weird and wonderful concoction we could find, laughing and shouting between mouthfuls.“Castiel, look!” Celia practically yells as she holds up a plush bear the size of her body. “This one is for Mia! She loves bears!”I take the plush bear from her with a grin, shaking my head in disbelief. “Are you sure she can carry this thing?” I say, lifting it with exaggerated effort. “It’s bigger than she is.”Celia giggles and nods, “She’ll love it! She’s so strong!”She’s already onto the next stall, pulling me along by

Castiel’s P.O.V “Hey, I…I’ll be right back,” I told Damien, my voice a little more distant than I meant it to be. He didn’t seem to notice, too wrapped up in Celia’s excitement as she clutched the giant teddy bear to her chest, pointing out more toys for Damien to win. “I’ll just…find the washroom.”Damien gave me a brief nod, his attention already drifting back to the booth where he’d been trying his luck again. “Sure, take your time. I’ll look after Celia.”I forced a smile and nodded, then turned on my heel, walking away from them as quickly as I could without looking suspicious. I didn’t know why I needed to follow that shadowy figure in the crowd, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right…that I knew that person.I told myself it was probably nothing. A random person in the crowd. Maybe it was just the chaotic atmosphere of the carnival, with its flashing lights and buzzing noise, that was getting to me. But as I pushed through the crowd, scanning every face I

Castiel’s P.O.V Celia clutched her carnival goodies tightly, almost drowning in a sea of toys, looking up at me with her usual wide-eyed excitement. We were standing in front of her school gate, and it was time to say goodbye again, until next time. The Principal stood a few feet away, waiting to escort her inside.“You sure you don’t want to come in with me, Castiel?” she asked, her voice a little hesitant but more excited than anything. “I could show you my classroom! My friends would love to meet you.”I chuckled softly, crouching down to her level. “You go ahead, sweetheart, it’s getting close to bedtime. Go show your friends all those souvenirs you got them.”Her eyes sparkled. “I’m going to tell them all about the big bear I won! I’ll share some of the candy too!” She held up a small bag of candy she’d pocketed from the carnival, smiling proudly at

Castiel’s P.O.V The emerald on the ring caught the faint light of the room as I turned my hand again, watching how the gem gleamed like it was alive. I couldn’t stop staring. My finger felt strange, heavy with the weight of something so valuable. My throat tightened every time I remembered the price the auctioneer had mentioned to me. Two million dollars.Two. Million.“You’re going to bore a hole through that thing with how hard you’re staring at it.” Damien’s voice was calm and teasing as he stepped out of the closet, already dressed in a casual attire. “It’s just a ring, Cas.”“Just a ring?” I blurted, finally tearing my gaze away to glare at him. “This is two million dollars sitting on my finger, Damien. Do you have any idea how ridiculous that is? Who spends that kind of money on a ring?”“You’re acting like I handed you a Faberg&e

Damien’s P.O.V I’ve seen Castiel put on a brave face for as long as I’ve known him. Always composed, always in control, like he carried the world on his shoulders but never let it crush him. But tonight, as I stood there holding him, I realized just how much weight he’d been carrying.“Hey,” I whispered, tightening my arms around him. His body was warm but trembling against mine. “What’s wrong? Castiel, talk to me.”At first, he didn’t say anything. His head was pressed against my chest, and I could feel the uneven rhythm of his breathing. His fingers curled into the fabric of my shirt like he was anchoring himself, like if he let go, he might drift away.“It’s nothing,” he muttered, his voice barely audible. “I’m fine.”I didn’t buy that for a second. “You’re not fine.” I pulled back just enough to tilt his chin

Castiel’s P.O.VElijah stood still for a moment, his gaze cold and calculating. Then, without a word, he took a single step forward. As he moved, a crackling energy surged around him, an electric current that sent sparks flying from his body and into the sand. The particles sizzled and burned, and before I could even blink, shards of glass-like material began to form, shimmering in the air, as smoke curled up from the scorched earth. The sight was overwhelming, and the intensity of the power radiating from Elijah hit me like a wave. For a brief second, my heart pounded in my chest, and fear gripped my mind. My instincts screamed to run, to find safety, to protect myself. But I forced my breathing to slow, willing myself to stay calm. I couldn’t let Elijah see the fear. Not now. Not when it would only give him the satisfaction of knowing he had some kind of control over me.Elijah took another step closer, and the ground beneath him s

Castiel’s P.O.VMy heart pounded in my chest as I watched the figure in front of me—tall, poised, and undeniably familiar. Elijah. A part of me felt my breath catch in my throat, but I shoved it aside, refusing to let any emotion show. Instead, my instincts kicked in, and before I could think, I stood quickly, stepping in front of Celia to shield her from whatever Elijah might throw at us next.I glanced at her, my voice low and urgent. “Celia, go to Tanner. Stay with him. Don’t come back until I find you.” I didn’t wait for her response; I couldn’t. I needed to get her away from Elijah. She hesitated for a moment, her eyes flickering between Elijah and me, but the fear in them was enough to make her nod, even if she didn’t fully understand the danger.“Stay safe, Castiel,” she whispered before turning to run off, disappearing into the distance. The second she was o

Castiel’s P.O.VThe sand beneath our feet was cool and soft, the faint sound of waves crashing against the shore acting as a gentle, constant backdrop to the heavy silence between us. I walked beside Celia, my hand resting lightly on her shoulder, guiding her away from the crowded beach and toward a quieter, more isolated stretch of sand. Her eyes were still red, tears streaking her face, and my heart felt like it was breaking with every shaky breath she took. I had expected a lot of things today—anger, confusion, maybe even guilt. But hearing her words had left me completely lost, speechless. She had told me, in no uncertain terms, that I had ruined her life. That I had taken everything from her. And the worst part was that I couldn’t deny it. I could feel the sting of her words echoing in my chest, each one digging deeper into a wound I didn’t even realize I had opened. We stopped by a large rock near the sh

Castiel’s P.O.VThe smell of grilled fish filled the air, mingling with the salty breeze drifting in from the ocean just a few blocks away. The restaurant was small and cozy, the kind of place where everyone knew each other, where the regulars came in every afternoon to talk about their day over a plate of fresh seafood. It was peaceful. It was steady. And for the first time in a long time, I felt like I could breathe again.I wiped my hands on my apron as I stepped out from behind the counter, balancing two plates in my hands. The customers at table five grinned as I set their food down, exchanging pleasantries as I smiled back. It wasn’t much, this life I had built in the past week, but it was enough to keep me standing. Enough to keep me from drowning in the weight of everything I had lost.South Beach, Staten Islands, wasn’t all that far from New York, but still, it felt like a fresh start. All thanks to Tanner,

Damien’s P.O.V He looked like a shell of the man he once was—ripped apart by the people he had crossed, the plans he had made, and the lies he had lived. And yet, in the midst of his suffering, he still managed to speak with a biting edge, like he was trying to get under my skin even now."I am a fool, Damien," Gabriel rasped, his voice dripping with bitter truth. “A complete fool.”I paused, gripping him tighter as he tried to stand on his own. “What the hell are you talking about?” I asked, my patience wearing thin again. I didn’t have time for cryptic bullshit.Gabriel’s lips curled into a pained grin, though it was more of a grimace than a smile. He was clearly struggling, but the words that came next hit me harder than I expected.“I’ve been a fool to love him. To care for Elijah all this time,” Gabriel continued, his voice thick with something like disdain, but also a hint of pity. “He’s been using me, Damien. All this time, he’s been using me for my abilities.”The words hit m

Damien’s P.O.VI stand by the large glass window in my room, staring out at the garden. The trees sway gently in the wind, their leaves rustling in a way that should be calming, but it only seems to make my thoughts more chaotic. The faint glow of streetlights beyond the garden casts an eerie light on everything, but I hardly notice. All I can think about is Castiel. Where the hell is he?Two days. It’s been two days since I last saw him. Two days since he drove off in my car, taking his sister Celia with him. The thought gnawed at me like a constant ache in my chest.I’ve asked myself a hundred times why he did it. Why take Celia? Why disappear like this? Castiel, the one person who seemed to understand me, the one person I allowed myself to trust—gone.Stephan had asked me if he wanted to spread a red alert, to have all our resources search for Castiel. It was one of the surest ways to find him. But it wasn’t the right one.I didn’t want anyone else involved in this. I didn’t want t

Castiel’s P.O.VThe sunlight creeps through the small crack in the curtains, casting a soft, golden glow on the walls of the room. It’s the kind of light that should make everything feel warm, but all I can feel is a cold numbness spreading through my veins. My body refuses to move. I haven’t slept, not really. My eyes are swollen from crying, the aftermath of an emotional storm that seemed never-ending. My head feels heavy like it’s been filled with too much noise and not enough peace. But despite everything, there’s a numbness that blankets me, a fog that makes it hard to distinguish between the past few hours and the haze of my own mind.I turn my head to stare at the cracked walls above me, willing them to hold some kind of answer. Anything that could make this pain stop. But nothing comes.I’ve cried enough. The tears, the sobs, the silent misery that rattled through me all night, hidde

Damien’s P.O.VI stared at the ring for what felt like an eternity, my grip tightening around it, the cold metal digging into my palm. It was supposed to mean something more than this. I had chosen it for him, picked it out with the hope that it would be a sign—a symbol of the good he had brought into my life, a representation of everything I’d never been able to express to him in words. Instead, I had handed it to him carelessly, like it was just a trinket, a piece of jewelry meant to impress, not something that held the weight of my feelings.I remembered the ride back from the carnival, the happiest day of my life. Castiel had been telling me how the carnival only held things for children and he hadn't been able to buy anything to bring back for Stephan. That’s when I had handed the box to him…casually tossing it as if it was just another souvenir. I had been nervous, I had been anxious for his reaction…but now, all those felt like petty excuses.I let out a sharp breath, frustrati

Damien’s P.O.VThe car ride back to the mansion felt like an eternity. Every second dragged on, and every thought in my head twisted tighter, more suffocating. I couldn’t stop thinking about Castiel—how I’d failed him, how I’d let everything slip through my fingers. The guilt weighed heavy, and the more I thought about it, the worse it became.Stephan sat beside me, unusually quiet. I could feel his eyes on me from time to time, but I didn’t want to meet his gaze. I didn’t deserve to. Not after what had happened. But I couldn’t stand the silence any longer. The sound of my own thoughts was starting to suffocate me, so I finally turned to Stefan.“What…what was he like?” I asked, my voice hoarse. “Castiel, I mean. When you met him.”Stephan shifted slightly in his seat, staring out the window. “He was broken,” he said quietly, not meeting my gaze. “I’ve never seen anyone so shattered. Whatever he saw or heard inside that venue... it affected him so deeply. He could barely keep himself
