The next few days went by without a hitch. I went to the council meetings and court like usual.

There hadn't been much change other than the fact that Victor starting his training.

After he had announced that he wanted his rightful seat on the council, he refused to back down. I had asked the council to wait until Barlion returns to the chambers but half of them, including Victor, refused. He had insisted for the approval and if Barlion refused, Victor, Lord Dom, Lord Dorian Lord Cassian threatened that they will pay the king a visit themselves.

I was forced to once again fake Barlion's signature to approve Victor's request.

That was the start of the suspicion. As soon as I placed the sighed approval letter on the council table, some of then had tilted their heads, their faces morphing in to confusion.

'Weird. Brother never gives in this easily when he has a stand on something.' Victor had commented and looks were shared amongst the few I consider a threat to Barlion and his throne.
