Frost Sorrow...

My heart was racing as I climbed up the stairs leading out of the dungeons.

Grabbing the side of my dress with both of my hands, I tried to quicken up my pace to get out of there as fast as possible.

I couldn't hear any noise around me because my heart was beating in my ears, deafening them out from the rest of the world.

When I caught sighed of the gate at the top of the stairs, I couldn't help but breath out a short sigh. As soon as the guard laid eyes on me, he turned around to undo the locks form the inside.

By the time I reached the top, I was short of breath but I was also happy to see that the guard had managed to swing open the gates.

As soon as I stepped out of the gate, the air completely changed. Even through the thick cloth covering my nose and mouth, I could still feel the freshness of the air.

Right past the gates, the air is warmer, even hot enough to want to make a man take off his clothes. Then there is the suffocating darkness and

remember how Mirra was explaining about the silver to Frost and how rare it is? yes, silver is not as strong as other metals in our world but in Gold Lad Kingdom, it's the best.*-^ hehehe. thank you for following this story honey.

Silver is very soft metal and pure silver is in no way suitable for a weapon. If you try to stab someone it will probably fold ;) Anyway, the story is very interesting and well written, I'm following closely.

I walked out of the training hall next to Barlion with a big smile on my face. It felt like a large barrier had been broken and I could see him clearly, which I like."What would you be doing today?" Barlion asked."Nothing much. I still need to keep my strength up and heal. So, I probably will me in my chambers."Barlion nodded his head."What about you, Barlion? What would you be doing?""Nothing out of the usual. I will have to go to the council chamber soon. Father has asked for a sudden meeting." He answered with a grim tone."Does the king usually do that?" I asked, to which Barlion nodded his head."Yes. Of he has an announcement he wants to make or an order he want to pass, he doesn't want to wait for the next day.""I see." I nodded my head."Rest we, Frost." He commented once we neared the hall we needed to go our separate ways."Have a good day, Barlion." I wished with a small wave before turning around the hall that would lead me towards my chambers while Barlion turned ar

I let out a long sigh as I looked at the large doors leading in to the tea gallery. It was my least favorite place in the main castle right after the one room Dorian Great had dragged me in to.I had had a great night with Barlion. After I had expressed my concerns to him and he had told me that his younger brother will now be sitting in the council chambers next to him, we had sat in silence. I was certain that Barlion would want to be alone and go through the lists of names but when I had tried to leave, Barlion had told me to stay.I stayed sited on his left leg as we both looked through the names of the handmaids that had passed through a trial and worked in the main castle. We ended up staying up for most of the night, reading through the lives and expiriances of the recent handmaids but only stopped when I let out a yawn one too many times.I had wanted to keep going. We had only tackled a few of the recent handmaids and there were a lot to look through.Barlion wanted to star

Barlion Great...Tapping my fingers against my right knee, I listened to Uncle Hero go through his daily report without actually listening to what he was saying.I was too busy trying to ignore the man sitting from across me. My younger brother Victor.I still find it hard to believe that father let him sit in the council just because he asked to. I had to ask, beg, crawl on my knees and if needed, my chest, to have a seat on the council. And after ten years of begging, father had let me sit in the council at the old age of twenty eight. But Victor gets to sit on the council just because he suddenly wanted to.I could feel his green eyes on me but I didn't give him the satisfaction of knowing that his presence did much to upset me.Victor being allowed in the council chambers means that I have more things to worry about than getting the two remaining votes, like my father possibly handing the throne down to the little brat.I am in the council as a learning party. Walking past Frost was really hard. I could stop myself from glancing at her.Frost was staring at Lady Fina with a bit of confusion before Cilvia leaned in to whisper something in to her ear.I turned my eyes away after Frost nodded to what ever my cousin had said to her.Following the ling halls, I silently led Lady Fina to the temporary chamber quarters, hating the fact that it was so close to my wife's temporary chambers."You have a beautiful home, My Lord." Lady Fina complemented from beside me in a soft and seductive voice.I didn't give her a reply. I merely glanced at her before I looked back in front of me.The main castle is not a home, not in the sense of comfort or joy.It is all but an empty stone large enough to house people who hate each other and inspire resentment.I hadn't seen this place as home for a very long time now and I don't even remember the day I stopped seeing it as my home. But lately, I have been loving my life. Not because I was getting the votes I nee

Looking down at the drink in my hand, I let out a silent sigh, forcing my thick cloth to push forward.Princess Victoria had insisted that I have a glass of wine so instead of upsetting my sister-in-law, I accepted the drink without actually putting it close to my lips."What is wrong with the moos in here?" Layla asked as she walked in to the art chambers.I watched as she walked over to one of the bars and picked up a glass before she filled it with some wine. "There's nothing exciting to talk about." Cilvia answered, to which Layla nodded her head before she dropped herself next to me."Is what I hear true?" She asked."What did you hear?" Princess Victoria replied."My brother told me that the new lady who came yesterday is to marry our older cousin."I shifted in my seat a bit uncomfortable."Way to worsen the mood." Barlion Great...I let out a sigh as father concluded the morning council meeting a bit early. I was about to get up and book it but father stopped me."Have you thought about my offer?" He asked.Settling back on my seat, I looked at him. I have been taking some time to think about why father was going this much distance to bother me. There could only be one reason. If I refuse to do what he wants me to do, then he will not hesitate to pass the throne down to Victor. I just know that father would rather choose my younger brother than me.He's always favored Victor over me that it's sickening. "No. I haven't made a decision yet."Father looked disappointed."You didn't hesitate this much when I asked you to marry the Frost girl.""You didn't ask me to do anything father. You ordered me to."I watched as father tilted his head to the left, looking at me like I was such a waste of space. "My offer doesn't stand forever Barlion. I suggest you come to me tomorrow with yo

The thick cloth falls on the floor in between us and my eyes got glued to her face.I traced my eyes all over her face, drinking in every single feature she was born with.Big Frost blue eyes, Full beautifully Flushed cheeks, cute button nose and full kissable lips. A small and faint scar stands out from her pale skin at the side of her chin.I couldn't look away. God, I couldn't look away. She's the definition of heartwarming beauty that I felt like holding her for myself and not show her to anyone else. Lifting my eyes up to hers, I focused on the frost blue orbs. I could tell that Frost was shocked by my action, so was I."Princess,,,: I whispered as I returned my hands to her warm cheeks, cupping her face and pulling her a bit closer. "Give me one chance. Just one chance to make this right, to be a better man, a better husband, a better king. Just one more chance and I will do everything in my power to make it up to you."Barlion?" He laid under the covers on his side with my back pressed to his bare chest, his right hand fingers brushing against my large belly.I couldn't see him but I could tell that he was wide awake. But even if he was awake, I could tell that he wasn't here with me. He was somewhere in his mind.Because if he was here, he would have noticed that the soft strokes of his fingers to my belly were forcing the baby to kick me harder.Placing my hand over his, I stopped the movement."Bar?" I called out but he didn't answer."Bar?""Hmm... Yeah?" He finally replied."Where did you go?" I asked."I didn't go anywhere. I'm right here." Letting put a groan, I pushed myself up to my elbow and dragged myself to a sitting position."Are you worried about tomorrow's wedding ceremony?" Barlion Great...The sight of her made my heart stop. Those frost blue eyes clashed with mine and the air left my lungs. All I wanted to do was run up to her, take her in my arms, feel her... Is she real? She has to be, otherwise I will lose it once and for all. I took a small step in to the dining hall, my eyes still trained on her.The conversation in the dining hall had long stopped and I could feel eyes on me. But I didn't dare look back at any of them. If I did, I was too scared that she might disappear.I watched as Frost slowly stood up and walked over to me. Her steps had no hesitation in them, unlike mine. When Frost and I finally stood before each other, all I needed to do was reach out and touch her to know that she's really here.Frost didn't say anything at first. Her lips were slightly open and she looked like she wanted to say something.Taking a deep breath, I slowly raised my right hand up and cupped her cheek. She's really here. My Frost is really here.My

Frost Sorrow...My stomach was making a roll when our boat got closer to the dock of the Gold Land Kingdom. It's been two long years... Two horribly long years.I was nervous for many reasons but the biggest one was finally seeing him.My father had already sent forward for a small carriage to be rented so by the time we reached the dock, a small carriage was waiting for us.Father kept my hand in his the entire way to the dock. It felt like he knew of my nerves. Each squeeze he gave my hand gave me encouragement. When we arrived at the dock, a carriage waited for us.Stepping out of the boat, I loved the feel of the cold air blowing against my cheeks, my bare cheeks. The strands of my hair brushed against my face as the wind blew, reminding me that the last two horrible years were actually worth it.There were a few eyes on my father, Sir Hunder and myself as we hopped in to the rented carriage. As the driver slowly led his two horses through the Kingdom, my ey

I walked in to the large library o next morning. The gates towards the other entrance of the library was not open yet so it was empty and quite. I walked through the large shelves before I made it to the sitting area.Just as I thought, I found Victor sitting at one of the large tables, looking straight ahead at the displayed book in a glass."Thought I'd find you here." I commented, drawing Victor's eyes towards me before I walked over and sat next to him.Victor returned his eyes to the book.I stared ahead and pride filled me at the sight of the single book placed in the glass.Anyone who came could look at it, admire it but was not allowed to touch it as it was incomplete."The King's Faceless Wife." Watching the first snow fall alone without Frost made me ache. She'd been excited about the first snow. I'd caught her a few times as she was looking out the window, expecting it to fall any moment before she'd gotten hurt. She didn't even get to see it before she left.I don't know how long we stood by the docks. I stared off across the water, wishing her a safe travel. When the people of our Kingdom started flooding the docks, Sir Hunder requested that we should leave. It took everything in me to turn my back to the water and walk back to the carriage.Sir Hunder and Mirra hopped in after Lady Winter did and we rode back to the main castle.Sir Hunder and Mirra were huddled at one side and the head of Nights refused to let her out of his arms. It wasn't like Mirra was complaining or anything. The two looked too cozy, reminding me that I wouldn't have that anymore.'She will return to you.' The chambers fell in silence.I watched as Lord King and Lady Winter shared a look.I looked over to Frost and realized that her eyes were following me with worry. Letting out a sigh, I looked back at Lord King."I want to talk to my wife alone first." I commented when I realized that I couldn't be selfish enough to keep her from going with them.Lord King didn't look like he was going to let me have a second with her but then he dropped his eyes to Frost and they softened."We'll need to stock up for the journey. It will take a while to get there so we need to take everything." Lord King commented as he looked back at me.I glanced at Sir Hunder and nodded my head. I had no other words. If They are really going to take my wife then they will have everything they need and more for the journey. Sir Hunder bowed his head before he walked out of the chambers. Lord King and Lady Winter followed after him. Mirra was the last to leave Frost and I alone in our chambers. As soon as the door

That was what's written on the head stone.I read it over and over again. The head stone was made from a large green gem, one found only in our Kingdom. The green gem glows a different shade of color at the contrast of the son, each angel changing color. Our black smith had carved the words in perfect shape and hade covered each letter with black paint so it would be easier to read. The rest of the royals had left a whole ago and I could feel Frost leaning on me.
