A buzz of excitement ran through her body.

The house before her had been a two-storeyed building in a secluded and quiet part of the town. She had been left to come here on her own.

She enjoyed the feeling of being presented with a prey but chasing one was on a whole different level of entertaining. She had come all the way here on her new bike and the feeling had been exhilarating to say the very least.

She had been surprised at how easy it was for her to get out of that building for it seemed like she had been held prisoner inside it with her new job entitlement.

“Are you sure you trust me enough with this mission and this bike?” she had challenged Alstor with a tone that mocked him. She was trying to elicit fear within him of her betrayal.

But as usual he hadn't let her get the satisfaction of seeing a frown on his face.

“If you ever run away from me, Vina, I will come and find you. This world isn't big enough to hide you from me,” he boasted, almost making her want to play this g

The dagger fell from her hand and clattered to the ground, the sound resounding in the silence that came after.Christine couldn’t believe that this was what she had come to. How could someone with so less experience, someone who she had seen shrivel and cry every night gain so much power to go against her. Only moments before she had been reduced to her older self, insignificant and weak but now she was holding her captive.Vevina saw the fear flash in her eyes. She knew that once that was settled in, it was already game over for her. Striking while the iron was still hot she pushed her to the ground and standing over her unhinged form she stared down at her and said, “Don’t you think you have been going about crying this and crying that for a little too long? What did you call me- Cry Baby? Do you never cry? Is it such a bad thing to do, to cry when your mother wants you dead and your father doesn’t even care about you?”Christine didn’t reply instead she grabbed hold of her feet an

When Vevina came back she found that Alastor was waiting for her in the living room sitting with some files spread out on the center table which he was working on.She was greeted by a brilliant smile from him which quickly turned to one of worry when he saw that there were some traces of blood on her and that she was completely wet.“What happened? Are you okay?” he asked, unable to keep the sorrow out of his tone. Although he trusted Vevina enough to do the job, he was still her mate and worried for her health just like any other wolf would.“Well it was fun,” Vevina answered back but couldn’t look at him properly. For some reason her heart hurt whenever she saw the blues of his eyes gleam in happiness. Why was he so happy? What was he so happy about? What was he thinking? The questions rumbled in her head and she was quickly becoming exhausted.“You don’t look very happy though,” Alastor noted, closing the file and keeping the file on the table to face her properly Alastor asked, “

It had been a week since Vevina had killed Christine and since she had seriously been touched by Alastor. As he had claimed before he had kept his promise and hadn’t let her cum the last time that they had sex. She had masturbated countless times since then, in the bathroom, in the closet, in the living room where he worked on some papers, in the bed sleeping beside him but Alastor hadn’t made a move on her.It was infuriating her but she would have still been fine with it if it hadn’t been for the fact that Alastor had been bringing another woman home with him.Glaring at the blonde standing before her Vevina sipped on the bubbly champagne straight through the bottle.“Vevina, move out of the way, we need to work,” Alastor said, moving Vevina to the side with a strong arm as he welcomed his personal assistant inside.“You brought her back here? Why? Didn’t you have enough fun at the office fucking her that you needed to bring her here too?” Vevina asked out of spite. She had no filte

The phone rang brightening Vevina’s mood at once. Picking it up at the first ring she answered, “Yes, Yaretzi speaking.”“Good evening ma’am, there is a man here claiming to have been invited to the penthouse, can we ask Mr. Tynen if he gives his permission or not?” the lady at the helpdesk asked Vevina.“Just send him up,” Vevina said, understanding that it must have been Margo’s boyfriend.“Sorry ma’am for safety reasons we cannot do that,” the lady hesitantly said, angering Vevina. What did they mean? She was this close to getting her revenge so who were they to stop her.“Do I need to remind you who I am? I am sure you understand my status by the mere fact that I live in the same penthouse as Alastor,” she said purposely using his first name to show her superiority unlike all the employees who were forced to call him respectfully by his surname. That made the worker nervous, unable to make a decision now. According to Mr. Tynen, she wasn’t allowed to let anyone in unless instructe

Alastor was almost a blur before Vevina’s eyes.As soon as he came he had thrown Brad to the wall and without even a second’s delay he was grabbing him again. He punched him until he broke his nose with blood spilling out from the crooked bone and raptured skin.“How dare you touch her? You filthy human! How could you touch my mate?”In his anger Alastor had almost been ready to kill him by ripping out his head from his body but he had to stop himself from doing that. His eyes were changing colors from pitch black to normal blue as Bain tried to take over.To Brad who barely had any of his senses intact couldn't make much sense so Alastor’s secret which had therefore been safe. Holding him against the same wall by his neck he raised him up making him thrash for air glaring at him. “I will fucking kill you!”This was the first time Vevina had ever seen him act this way, this out of control and rabid. He was almost like a raging animal that had lost its senses and left in the wild. His

“Don’t think this means that you escaped your punishment,” Alastor said in a grim voice. His countenance now changed completely. He couldn’t just let go of the fact that Vevina had tried to go to another man even if it meant that she was only trying to spite him out of her jealousy. With the two chess pieces dead in their game he could finally focus on her and make her understand how she was to behave now that she was with him. That she only belonged to him.“What do you mean?” Vevina asked not really minding the punishment knowing well enough that she usually liked them all.“You will have to wait and see but first let’s get that man’s stench off your body. You stink!” Alastor grimaced, making a face causing Vevina to lift her arm to her nose and take a sniff. To her she didn’t smell any different but playing along with whatever Alastor wanted to do she let him carry her into the bathroom.“I am going to scrub his touch off your body but before I do that we have to clean your mouth.

  • The Killer and Her Mate   Chapter 23: I love you

The next day when Vevina woke up she found herself being watched by two big blue eyes smiling at her.“What do you want?” she asked, her voice still groggy from the sleep. Rubbing her eyes as she removed some sleep dust from it she realized that Alastor had been dressed to go somewhere.“Are you going somewhere?” she asked, sitting up, making Alastor smile at the clear disappointment casted on her face.“I am sorry Vina, I don’t want to but I have to work,” Alastor smiled, feeling it to be a sin to leave his mate so despondent and cute, alone. At the word ‘work’ Vevina’s frown deepened with more wrinkles on her forehead she asked, “You aren’t going to bring back another woman today too, are you?”At her question and slight wavering voice Alastor quickly sat down in front of her and taking hold of her face he kissed her lips, “There is no one else for me other than you Vina.”Why?The question blared in her mind but she knew she wouldn’t get a clear answer so she stayed silent instead.

“You seem in a good mood Alpha,” Jax commented, staring at Alastor’s face that was smiling mindlessly at his name plate kept on his table. Who would have thought that the woman who had been swinging it around in hatred had finally been accepting that she loved him.“If you guess what it is then I’ll let you go on a paid date with your mate tonight,” Alastor said, making Jax perk up at the offer. He had wanted to meet his mate for a long time now and to be given this chance was something that he didn't want to give up.Thinking through it. He noticed that Alastor’s happiness was different than anything he had ever seen before. It was almost as if the scary ruthless alpha had been replaced by a Shakespearean fool who had nothing to worry about in this world.“It must have something to do with Luna, did she finally accept you?” Even as Jax suggested this he knew that it wasn’t the case. His Luna had been a difficult person so if she had really mellowed from inside and accepted Alastor th

“Mommy!” Vevina heard her three year old daughter call out to her as she came rushing to her side.“Alina, what did I tell you about running with your socks on? You might t fall down and hurt yourself, baby,” she said worrying about her naughty princess who as usual giggled at her words and didn’t listen to a thing she said.“Cookies!” Alana continued with her demand, letting her know the reason why she had come to her. She might have been young but her nose had just been sharp as any grown werewolf for her to smell them as soon as they were baked.“You can have them but before that you need to wash your hands, princess,” Vevina heard her mate's voice follow inside the kitchen carrying in his arms their five year old son Vinter.“Hi mommy!” Vinter greeted her as soon as he saw her. While Alana was a daddy’s girl, Vinter, her first born, had been a mommy’s boy so much so that he often refused to leave her side when he was a baby.“Hi my baby, go on and wash your hands and then you can

I don’t care whether you have that baby or not so please don’t let me bother you. You should do as you want.”She saw that even as he told her this his eyes were glossed with a slight shade of red. He must have been crying alone to hide it from her.She knew that it was her body that was going to undergo all these complicated processes and change but to hear Alastor not care about his wishes and be happy with just her made her realize the basic constitution of her family had been different than wh

“Though it usually isn’t the case but there are times when Alphas can be wrong about the pregnancy of their mate so it is always better to get a checkup,” Alastor said as the two sat outside the pack doctor’s office waiting for her to call them inside. When she had heard Alastor say this last night she had desperately wished for it to be true, she wished that she was not pregnant and that it had all been a misunderstanding. She didn’t think she could ever be a mother. While she didn't want this baby she could see that Alastor really wanted it. The whole of last night she had found it difficult to sleep while Alastor had hugged her to himself and had kept a protective hand over her stomach. Even the way he was stealing glances at her flat tummy when he thought she wasn’t seeing him was making her sad.He looked like he really wanted her to have a baby. She wondered what he would do if she denied having one.Would he leave her? It took her some time to realize but Vevina saw that there was a baby in her arms but weirdly enough she was watching herself as if out of her body. It didn’t seem to bother her much then as she continued to watch herself frustratedly patting on the child’s back. The baby continued to cry in her arms and no matter what she did it wouldn’t stop crying. She watched her prepare some milk for the baby but even as she filled the bottle there was something wrong about it. The milk seemed slightly green in color and she wondered if she had been using expired milk but without a care, shaking the bottle she watched herself feed it to the baby.It mustn’t have liked the taste because it puked it all out and cried louder than before making her throw the bottle away. It smacked against the wall and spilled all onto the ground, the bottle now lying broken and deformed.Tears started falling from her eyes and holding the crying baby she sobbed just as loudly as it did. It was pathetic to watch hers

When Vevina came out of the washroom after she had freshened up in the pack house she saw that Alastor had been waiting outside for her.“Is something the matter?” she asked, finding his expression to be a little odd.“There is someone I want you to meet,” he said and curious at who it could be she nodded and followed after him without another word.As she passed the people she saw them bow their heads at her, addressing her and thanking her for the food that she and Alastor had hunted in the run before. Well it had mostly been Alastor but she was there with him and it was the thought that counts.Passing through many people and lively rooms, Vevina at last found herself in a quiet corridor with no trace of another wolf there. The quietness was peaceful to her after the way she had been busy catering to everyone. She loved her new surroundings as it was emotionally taxing for a person that had never before been so loved, or loved at all, to be among this many people waiting for her to

“So what exactly are we doing right now?” she asked, watching all the people cheer and gather around.“We’re going on the traditional animal hunt. The Luna and the Alpha hunt together with the pack and the kills that they caught will be later cooked and served for all to enjoy. It's more like a bonding experience,” he said, making Vevina frown.“I would have liked it better if we could have gone on a hunting spree of humans instead of innocent animals,” she said, hearing a few coughs around her as she watched a few people sputter on their drinks. They must have been listening in on their conversation to have reacted that way.‘If you continue to shock them with words like that then they just might start fearing you,’ he said in her mind pulling her into a hug. ‘Intrusive thoughts should be kept away from them. There are children listening to you too.’‘Ah fuck, its going to take me some time to realize that every word that I speak can be heard by a hundred people around me,’ she said

When Vevina was brought back she had been dressed in a pair of leather jeans, a tank top and a leather jacket. She didn’t think them to be the ideal clothes for the ceremony but they were definitely comfortable to her and a blush came onto her face when she remembered what had happened the last time she had been dressed as such to go on a ride with Alastor on the bike.In these new clothes, the shape of her long legs were easily visible. Her fit form and the new aura of confidence that she carried with her turned heads seeing her in a different look other than the image of their traditional Luna who wore and were made to seem feminine.“Are you sure you don’t want to wear one of my dresses? I don’t mind lending it to you for the occasion,” Clarissa said, making Vevina look her way and laugh silently at the discomfort and wariness present on it.“Absolutely not. I think I am better this way,” she said, assuring her that she felt fine and finally saw Alastor waiting for her talking to a
