BOOM

The fireballs that burst in the sky hit various objects on the ground. Roads, gardens, and even people's houses were all hit by that and burned badly. The city sirens sounded. The peace and tranquility immediately turned into fear and panic.

“THERE’S BEEN AN ATTACK!! THERE’S BEEN AN ATTACK!!”

“HELP!! MY HOUSE IS BURNED!!”

“My son, where is my son?”

People screamed and scattered on the streets, ran here and there without any direction. Including the children in the orphanage. They screamed and cried saw the atmosphere that suddenly changed like a war. Everything was chaotic, the nurses were overwhelmed with handling them.

Alisa and Floria were frozen in thatplace, only able to see and hear the panic behind the window.

“What is, this?”

Abraham and his two friends who had bought something at the food stall also did not escape the panic. They threw the food they had bought, the three of them immediately returned to the orphanage while ran to save themselves. But unfortunately, bad luck befell the three of them.

Right from the darkness behind them appeared a group of mysterious people wearing black robes. They ran very fast towards Abraham and his two friends. Two of them took out something from their hands which was none other than a dagger.

“NOOO!!”

Flo, who witnessed it, immediately screamed. But what could she do? The distance was too far for the three of them to hear.

The two persons in black robes immediately swung their daggers at Abraham's two friends behind him. Red blood immediately splashed out of the two children's bodies. They fell and didn't get up again.

Flo was frozen there with her mouth agape. Her face looked very scared. This was the first time she had seen a murder directly in front of her own eyes.

“Aghh ...”

Seeing his two friends who were already dead, Abraham sped up his running until he reached the front gate of the orphanage.

“Come on, Abraham!!”

Ignored what was behind him, the boy kept running to save himself. But unfortunately, the luck was not on his side.

The black-robed person behind him immediately jumped quite high towards the boy while swinging their dagger. The slash of the weapon hit Abraham's neck, making his head separated from his body.

“Don’t look, Alisa!!”

“Hey, Flo. What’s wrong?”

The girl couldn't say it.

Still not satisfied with that, another fireball hit the wall of the orphanage and set it on fire. The fire began to spread throughout the place, including towards the room where Alisa and Flo were.

Flo opened Alisa's eyes again and invited her to leave that place.

“Alisa, let's go, hurry!!”

Alisa's eyes were completely blank. She didn't respond at all to what Flo said, as if her ears were blocked by the sound of the rapidly spreading fire.

“ALISA!!”

The girl was completely frozen there. But luckily, Sister Weiss came into the room to evacuate them.

“Alisa, Flo, are you still here? Thank goodness. Come here.”

Flo, who was already in tears because of fear, tried to approach the nurse. But unexpectedly, the door to the room was kicked to pieces by one of the person in black robes who managed to enter the orphanage. Their footsteps were followed by a fire that burned almost the entire wall of the room.

They were all trapped there, with no way out. Sister Weiss tried to protect them.

“I won't let you touch them.”

The person was wearing a black robe that covered their head so that their face was not visible. However, there was a cloth tied to their left arm. On the cloth was a mysterious symbol in the form of a light blue triangle with three white stars on each corner.

They immediately pointed their right hand at Sister Weiss. Their index and middle fingers pointed forward, while the other three fingers were bent. They then uttered a word that resembled an incantation.

“Sfyrd!!”

WHOOSH

JLEBB

A very terrible thing happened right before their eyes. A spear of light with a fairly long size suddenly appeared from their hand and stabbed right into Weiss' stomach. Blood began to flow from her stomach. The nurse seemed to be enduring incredible pain. Alisa and Floria could only stare at the tragedy.

Slowly the spear of light shattered into small pieces of light before finally disappearing. Right after the last piece evaporated, fresh blood gushed out from the nurse's stomach. The splash spread throughout the room and hit both of their bodies. The nurse collapsed and never got up again.

“AAAAA ...”

Floria screamed as loudly as she could saw the terrible tragedy. Meanwhile, Alisa could only stare blankly. Fear enveloped them both.

“Will I die too? But, I don’t wanna die.”

That was what crossed Alisa's mind after saw the very kind Sister Weiss killed brutally right before their eyes.

Shortly after, the black-robed person pointed their left hand towards Flo and chanted an incantation again.

“Mahnit!!”

WHOOSH

Miraculous. A light appeared from their palm that seemed to pull Flo into their grasp. The girl struggled to escape their grip, but unfortunately it seemed futile.

“LET ME GO!! LET ME GO!!”

That person in the black robe then touched Flo's forehead with two fingers of their right hand and magically put her to sleep.

Alisa wondered if this was what was called magic. But she couldn't do anything. That girl was completely overcome by fear.

That person in a black robe then directed their hand again like before, but this time directly towards the girl. Alisa who saw it was frozen there, unable to move an inch because she was overcome by fear.

“W-who are you?” Alisa stuttered, but the person in the black robe did not answer her.

“Please, don’t ...”

Alisa was very scared. How could she not be? In front of her was a mysterious person who had killed Sister Weiss and taken Flo easily. And now her life was really in danger.

That mysterious robed person then recited an incantation, but it was different from the incantation they had recited before.

“Syom Flynt!!”

WHOOSHH

A magical light emerged from their hand. Alisa, who saw it, suddenly lost her balance. Her body began to feel weak for no reason and her vision began to blur.

“Flo ...”

In a blurry vision, Alisa saw Flo being taken away by that person. Who knows where they were taken, but they managed to separate Flo from her. Her heart was filled with sadness, her best friend had been kidnapped by an unknown person.

“Please. Don’t take Flo ...”

Her vision then went dark, and she didn’t remember anything else at that time.

Alisa and Frenska read the message sent through Angke's ring. It turned out their guess was right. It was a mission message delivered to both of them.“An order to Alisa Garbareva from 2-F class and Frenska Albertovia from 2-F class to immediately gather in the school hall. Signed, Mrs. Rumia Firlidina.”One of the teachers had called them both to gather in the school hall. Therefore, they had to obey her orders. The cold night wind blew her long hair. The graceful and cold face was clearly visible through the full moon. The woman just kept quiet, looking at Alisa Garbareva, who was confused after seeing her face. She really didn't expect to meet her old friend again after eight years of separation due to a tragedy.“Flo, what's wrong? What really happened?”That Vitanian girl stood facing her while leaving her sword lying on the ground.“Alisa. It's been a long time since we met, huh?”“But why? Why are you like this? What really happened to you?”Flo was silent for a moment before saying three words.“Despair, prosperity, justice.”A strong gust of wind interrupted their conversation. Alisa, who heard those three words, wondered what she meant by those words. Before she could question it, Floria spoke again.“At first we didn’t know what was out there because we were still children. But now we are adult enough to understand it. To understand the hidden veil of this kingdom.”“What do you mea

The crowing of roosters in the morning can be heard clearly here, something that is impossible to find in Kartovik or other big cities. This is because Vestaria itself is just a small, rundown town. The asphalt roads here are full of holes, some of which are still dirt. The sidewalks for pedestrians are also filled with garbage, and livestock that roam the streets add to the slum impression of this city. However, this did not discourage Alisa from starting her research on the Vitanian community, starting from this small town.“Yosh. Let’s get started.”Initially, Alisa wanted to interview the grandmother who owns the house where she currently lives. However, because she was sick and sleeping, she decided against it and chose to look for another source at Vestarlut Market, a trading place located less than a kilometer from her residence.“Wow, it’s so crowded.”Like most markets, there are many people buying and selling in this place. From various foodstuffs to household goods, everyth

You won’t get anything there,” Flo replied."Oh, I see?"“If you want to get better information, you should go to a bigger city,” the Vitanian girl continued.Alisa was forced to follow her friend's advice. After speeding through the night fog, they finally arrived at a small district on the hillside. The district was directly connected to the big city ahead. It was called Selenaberg, named after the hill behind the district.“Well, we're here.”They stopped at a fairly large old house with two floors which was none other than Floria's residence.“Wow, it’s so big. So this is...”Alisa and Floria were so amazed to see the great battle that was happening right in front of their very eyes. Askars, Patrols, magical girls, and even ordinary people, all united in the fight against the guards of Sentralberg.Alisa looked in various directions. Several people were seen fighting each other using weapons. Ordinary people along with Patrol and Askar used Politia, while the magical girl used Posacca. Meanwhile, in the sky, the 'Skyoldir' shield magic was also seen that locked them all there. She also looked to the side. There were a number of people lying helplessly, one of whom was a silver-haired young man. Maybe they had died because they were hit by the rubble fr

The cold air penetrated their skin. Slowly, they both opened their eyes.“Where is this?”The two girls found themselves lying on the floor in a cold and quite dark room. They looked around. There was some strange silver equipment stored in a white cabinet.“This is a laboratory?”Alisa slowly tried to get up. So did Floria, who was also lying beside her. They seemed still confused about what happened, why they were in that place."Ah, damn. That Iskarius," Flo seemed to have realized it.“Flo? Who?” Alisa wondered what her friend meant.“Iskarius, the advisor of the Governor of Karelia. He turned out to be a spy for the central kingdom. And he managed to kidnap us to this place,” Flo explained.“Oh, is that so?”Alisa just stood there, speechless.“Oh yeah, by the way, where are we?” asked the Telhi girl again.Flo shook her head.“I don’t know either. At least that was what Governor Alistair thought.“Once again, I apologize for the delay,” said Bob.“Enough. Don’t talk about it anymore. Now let’s get back to the main discussion,” said Rocky.Bob, with the file in his left hand, then stood beside the king."So, how far has the discussion of this meeting come, Your Majesty?" asked Bob again.“Ah, I’m glad you asked.”The king then pointed at the four regional heads with an angry expression.“They are lousy. The four of them even blamed me for all the problems in the autonomous region due to their incompetence. And when I was about to kick them, they cunningly played with me. The blue starlight of Formalha shone over Sentralberg that morning. The hustle and bustle of Carreta and Motosicca passing by on the black asphalt streets colored the atmosphere of the royal capital of the Kingdom of Archipelahia. Unlike the chaotic conditions in the autonomous region, here almost everyone was doing their activities as usual.Likewise at the Silver Palace where the King of Archipelahia reigns. There is nothing too urgent. Only a few additional guard troops are seen at several points. The blue flag of Archipelahia still flies proudly at the top of the highest pole. The conditions inside the palace were not very different. A number of guards were seen walking back and forth, while some others stood straight whenever a regional official walked in front of them.A young man in a black suit with a yellow sun badge in his pocket walked past the guards. A young brown-haired girl in casual long-sleeved clothes and a not-too-wide skirt was also seen walking beside him graceful

Secret location, Capital of Chekovia, Vitania Autonomous Region.A large hall-like room stood majestically within the giant underground chamber. The room was estimated to be large enough to accommodate nearly 10,000 people. Currently, around 8,000 more magical girls belonging to the Vitanian Frontline Witches Brigade have been gathered there. Most of them were the brigade's top brass and high-ranking magical girls who held important roles in the paramilitary organization with nearly 100,000 members.“A general meeting? Is there something so important that we are all called here?”“I don’t know, this is a direct order from the main leader.”“If this many people have gathered, it means there will be a big operation. Could this be the peak of our struggle?”“That’s great. We’re just one step away from gaining independence.”The magical girls talking to each other broke the atmosphere that night. The wind was blowing quite hard in that sunny weather. Less than 24 hours until the big plan that had been agreed upon in the secret meeting would be implemented. But on the surface of the ground there was almost no one. Everything seemed quiet.Alisa sat on a park bench, but there were no flowers blooming around her. All there was an empty area that was almost level with the ground. A small amount of building debris was visible that had not been cleared. The atmosphere of the eastern Kartovik area was now like a dead city, maybe even like a vast expanse of unclaimed land.Alisa closed her eyes and looked up at the sky. She remembered everything that had happened in that place with her friends.“Soon, all this suffering will end. But, it’s too quiet. I’m lonely,” Alisa said to herself.Tears slowly dripped from the corners of the Telhi girl's eyes. She really missed everything. Peaceful life, school, and friends. Ever since the King changed some policies, our meetings have become less frequent,” Datuk Glenn added.Glenn looked at the interface screen at Alistair.“Oh yes. Moreover, they were both in quite strategic positions on the plan that Sazali's granddaughter would carry out.Even so, what was on Alisa's mind could not be lied to. Sadness was still visible on her face. Your father, Professor Sirius Garbareva, is the leader of the 7 special advisors to the king appointed by Uncle Frederick. Their job is to provide input and advice to the kingdom on public policy. They are the ones who have contributed the most to the progress of Archipelahia compared to the Fatir family itself,” said Inori.“Is that so,” Alisa said while holding her chin.“But unfortunately, after the Fall of Fatir, they were considered a threat by Calais. Their input and suggestions were labeled as an insult to the king. And they tried to get rid of them,” she continued.“Rid?” Floria wondered.“Yes. Calais tried to rid them so that no one could stop his ambition to control the wealth of this king
