Gwen didn't ask Yvonne to make a decision. Instead, she gave Yvonne time to consider it.

For the whole night, Yvonne tossed and turned in bed. In the end, she stared at the ceiling, slowly collecting her thoughts.

She wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. But when she'd seen Conan lying on that bed today, her first instinct had been to think of Stephen.
