Sienna frowned, but she still answered the call.

The man’s low and attractive voice sounded over the line. It sounded like the gentle, melodious sound of a piano, which made people feel intoxicated.

“Good evening, Miss Lang.”

“…” Sienna was silent for a moment and said bluntly, “Master Harry, did you call me so late at night just to wish me good evening?”

Harry smiled slightly.

“I heard that you left the Lang family. So, I called to say congratulations.”

When others heard that Keegan and Sienna had severed all ties, they were all eager to trample all over her. All of them were taking advantage of the situation to hit her when she was down. However, Harry was the only one congratulating her, as if he was certain of what she wanted to do.

Sienna raised her brows without expressing her opinion.

“Thank you. Is there anything else?”

“I heard that you are going to the Kane Mansion the day after tomorrow.” Harry’s tone was extraordinarily lazy as he asked casually, “Are you going to break off your engagement?”

“Yes, ” Sienna replied frankly.

Harry seemed to laugh again with a clear and pleasant voice as he said, “Got it. Go to sleep. Goodnight.”

Sienna hung up the phone.

But the moment when she laid down and closed her eyes, she finally came to a realization.

Wait a minute. Harry had asked her if she was going to break off the engagement just now, and she had said yes. However, Harry had simply replied ‘Got it.’

What did he 'get'?

Sienna frowned. After thinking about it, she could not figure out what was on the man’s mind. So, she simply put the matter behind her.

At Scott Mansion.

The warm yellow light shone on the man’s flawless face. Harry sat quietly on the revolving chair in the spacious study room, and there was a deep and unpredictable look in his eyes.

There was a document of a background check in his hand.

Sienna’s name was written on the document.

The sky was clear on the weekend.

Today was the wedding anniversary celebration for the two elders of the Kane family.

The Kane family had a great and distinguished reputation, and they could be regarded as a top-ranking famous family in Isonbert. Almost all the guests invited to such an incomparably grand wedding anniversary celebration were from high-class wealthy families with great pomp.

When Sienna set off from the hotel, Miss White chased after her worriedly as she said, “Miss, do you want me to go with you in case someone bullies you?”

“Don’t worry about me, Miss White.”

Sienna smiled and reassured her, “The most important thing that you should do now is to buy the things that you will need in the villa so that we can move in as soon as possible.”

The contract to buy the villa had been signed yesterday, and all of the formalities had been completed. So, the only thing left to do was to clean up the villa and buy the additional items for it.

Miss White nodded. “Okay, I got it. Don’t worry, Miss.”

Sienna stopped a taxi and headed to the Kane Mansion directly.

Miss White shook her head, and she could not help but sigh when she saw Sienna’s figure disappearing from sight.

Sienna was a good young lady. Unfortunately, she had a father who was befuddled, and a fiancé who was blind! They did not cherish Sienna, who was like a rare pearl, but they actually treated Clara like a treasure!

They would regret it sooner or later!

At this time, in the splendid living room of the Kane Mansion, a group of guests was gathered as they greeted each other with wine glasses. There were also partners who were dancing together on the dance floor, accompanied by the melodious music from the saxophone.

The whole atmosphere was very lively.

The chattering voices of the people gradually faded when Lady Kane came out with Lord Kane. Everyone’s eyes were all fixed on the two main characters of the wedding anniversary celebration.

There were congratulatory voices all around.

“Congratulations, Lord Kane and Lady Kane!”

“You have been accompanying each other for fifty years and went through thick and thin together. I hope your love lasts till the end of time! Now, there are three generations gathered here together, where your children and grandchildren are here to celebrate for you. We are all really envious!”

Although Lord Kane was over seventy years old, he looked extremely energetic, and when he heard those words, he exchanged pleasantries with the guests as he said, “You’re being too kind. I can't believe we lasted this long either!”

This joke made everyone laugh.

“You just can't help cracking such jokes, huh?” Lady Kane glanced at Lord Kane and smiled. After that, she looked at Quentin, who was at the side, and asked, “Where is Sienna? Why didn’t you bring Sienna here? She is your fiancée after all.”

“She…” Quentin paused and then mustered up the courage and said, “Grandma, I have something to tell you.”

He still hadn’t told the elders, who arranged the marriage for him, about his plan to break off the engagement.

However, Quentin had to break off the engagement for Clara’s sake, even if he knew that the two elders would definitely oppose it!

Quentin turned and looked at Clara, who was amongst the guests.

Clara wore a pure white dress and stood among the other guests. She was undoubtedly beautiful. She was eye-catching, charming, and full of love for him.

He must never let her down!

Quentin said, “Clara, come here.”

When he shouted, Lord Kane, who was still chatting, also turned to look at him.

The guests were all stunned for a moment, and someone asked, “Hey, isn’t Quentin’s fiancée the daughter of the Lang family? What's going on?”

The atmosphere was silent.

Clara stepped forward hesitantly as she met everyone’s gaze.

Lady Kane was stunned for a moment. She looked at Quentin with a slightly cold expression on her face. “What are you doing?”

“Grandma, I want to break off my engagement with Sienna. I don’t love Sienna at all. I refuse to go along with the marriage that you arranged for me!”

Quentin felt like he was an upright man for the first time as he met all of the guests’ gazes. Feeling proud, he continued, “The person that I love is Clara! Grandma, please give us your blessing!”

Everyone in the whole room was shocked as soon as he said that.

Countless pairs of gossipy and excited eyes glanced back and forth on Quentin and Clara’s tightly held hands.

In fact, their love affair had long been known.

Everyone in Isonbert knew that the daughter of the Lang family failed to secure the love of her fiancé, so she could only take out her anger on her nominal sister, Clara.

Clara was placed in an awkward situation, but one matter that made people feel particularly sympathetic toward her was the fact that her father had died to save Keegan. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been taken into his family at such a young age.

She was obviously the orphan of the Lang family’s savior. It was bad enough that she had such an ill fate, but she was also bullied repeatedly by Sienna!

A lot of people felt bad for her!

Therefore, no one felt that it was a big deal even though Clara got together with her sister’s fiancé in the end. They only clapped and scolded Sienna, saying that she deserved her karma!

At this moment, after Quentin expressed his determination to break off his engagement, many guests did not curse at him, but they even spoke up for him.

“Lady Kane, love is all about freedom, and so is marriage. Something that is forced will not have a happy ending!”

“That’s right! Sienna has already been kicked out of the house. She is just a pitiful and helpless girl. She is totally inferior compared to Clara for the marriage. Although Clara’s last name is Jenning, she is the apple of Keegan’s eye.”

“Putting everything else aside, Clara is thousands of times better compared to Sienna in terms of character! Lady Kane, you’re a veteran, so don’t you understand the truth behind marrying a virtuous wife?”

All the guests were on Quentin and Clara’s side.

When Quentin heard these words, he was filled with confidence, and he held Clara’s hand even more firmly.

Lady Kane shook her head, and her eyes were filled with disappointment.

She had always had high hopes for her eldest grandson, but she never would have thought that he would choose to announce breaking off his engagement at his own grandparents’ wedding anniversary celebration!

He thought that the guests around him were encouraging him and affirming his self-professed love? He was wrong! The other people were just standing around and talking behind his back while witnessing a joke!

However, Quentin did not know it yet, and he said again, “Grandpa, Grandma, I’ve already made up my mind. I want to break off the engagement!”

Sienna happened to hear this sentence when she walked to the door of the Kane Mansion.

She let out a soft laugh.

Some guests at the side turned around inadvertently. When they saw her, their eyes widened in shock for a moment, and then they shouted out loud—

“Hey! Isn’t this Miss Lang, who was kicked out of her house?”

They couldn't wait for the show!
