“Why didn’t you tell me that she was going to be here?” Priya asked annoyed at Cain, who shrugged in reply.

I thought he was going to have some good reason that might make her want to stay. “Priya please just listen to me and then you can go.” She pushed her chair back in so I held her wrist to stop her. “Please.”

“Priya just listen to her once.” Priya looked between us and then sighed before taking a seat.
