Chapter Fifty Four

Annie had been waiting for Alexander for hours. It was at least 3am and she was starting to lose hope. She hadn’t quite given up, her body was exhausted but she had a hot cup of coffee in her hand as she sat on the uncomfortable chairs in the kitchen. Annie had never realised how uncomfortable they were until now. Annie was grateful for the hard seat bellow her that helped her stay away for hours on end.

As Annie sat, she thought. She thought about that day when Alexander confessed his feelings to her, she remembered the look on his face as he exclaimed his love. Annie couldn’t help but feel a put in her stomach grow as she wondered if his feelings had changed. Annie knew she had taken a big risk when she offered herself to Alexander, in a way she felt ridiculous. She knew Alexander could have anybody he wanted.
