A week had not went by yet and I was getting worked. Jace was on my back every second for these past couple of day. But, it did not stop there. Today, Jace and I were in a room way in the back of the mansion. Whatever we was doing, I could not focus on it. I was already missing my family, Triniti and the kids included. I wonder how the babies were doing?
“Clear your mind.” I heard Jace tell me from behind. “You won’t get anywhere with a clouded head.”
“I can’t stop thinking about them.” I told him.
“You’ll be able to see them soon. Now, get this done.”
I nodded my head and closed my eyes. I needed to look past Anubis. I needed to look deeper.
“How can I call him if I don’t know him by name?” I asked my father.
“He’ll tell you. Don’t worry about the name, though. You need to find him.”
I heard shuffling and my eyes snapped open.
After work today, I had decided to go visit the kids. I had to visit the pack, anyways. I made it to the Bayou and parked the car in front of mom’s house. It was a lot of tension here since that night. Mom was distant and Seth and I kept our distance away from her. We focused mainly on our pack and we only came by to visit the twins and Trinity. Other than that, there was not a real conversation we would have with her. I got out the car and walked over to the front door. I seen Seth and Dante with everyone from the pack a few houses down. As I turned my attention back to mom’s house, I saw that she was waiting for me at the door. She gave me a small smile, however, one was not returned to her. She was not getting that from me at all. She did our brother foul and I could not believe she had all of us fooled. She opened the door wide and I j
Once Janelle and London were gone, we were able to get down to some real business. First, I decided to give Dominic a call. We had not heard from him. The phone he had was not picking up at all. It would always go to voicemail and that worried me.“Trying to get in contact with Dominic?” Dante asked me.“Yeah,” I told him. “I’m trying to see if he’s good and tell him what’s going on.”“Try him telepathically.” “Would it work since he’s far away from us?”“Can’t hurt to try.”I decided to let Malachi do that. That ability was not mines; it was my wolf’s.
The Carter pack? Why does that name sound so familiar? I could not place that name even if my life had depended on it. We decided to meet up with them in a few days. Some place else. We were not ready to have meetings with others that were not in the pack yet. Besides, Seth and I were not ready to have outsiders come here since we just recently claimed it as our own. “So, where are we meeting them?” I asked Mickey.“In a few days.” He told us.“They better not be weak.” Deon said to Mickey.“Bruh, they’re not.” Mickey got defensive.“Chill, you guys.” Seth said. “
I heard Dominic’s bloody screams as I walked closer to the room. That was not all I could hear. His fists pounded away at the locked door as he tried to escape the room. He was making a big scene out of something so simple, I thought to myself. I stood in front of the door and waited for him to stop.“You’re making this complicated.” I told him in a unfazed tone. “You need to concentrate.”“I fucking can’t!” He shouted. “I can’t do this while I’m damn near starving to death!”“Then, I suggest you call on your vamp.”“He won’t answer me!”I leaned against the door and crossed my arms. I knew he was hungry, but this is part of the
Janelle was out for the remainder of the day, so I kept the bar open for her. Seth was with the pack, so of course, Kilan was with me. That was not a problem since Kilan had been clinging to me for the longest. As I made a drink for this one customer, I could not get Trinity off my mind. Seeing her unconscious like that really bothered me. It even had me rethink about having unprotected sex with Seth. I did not want to go through the same thing she went through. “You seem troubled,” the guy I was fixing the drink for, said to me.I looked up at him, smiling. He was a regular like Dante, so he could tell I was not in a talkative mood tonight.“Yeah, just in deep thought.” I told him as I handed him the drink he had ordered. “Let me know if you would like anything else.”
Two more days and we were going to be in New Orleans. We packed the house up slowly. Being in New Orleans could not come fast for me. I was ready to take the city back. Before we got out there, I needed to make a few calls to my family. I never told them that the family and I were headed that way. I closed the box up and pulled my phone out of my pocket. I scrolled through my contacts until I was able to find my brother, Liam’s number. My brother and I were close, but I never heard from him in a month. I dialed his number and placed the phone to my ear. It took a minute, but he finally answered.“I know that’s not Eric calling me,” He said, sounding shocked.“Ho
Friday finally came and I could never be any happier. Today, I was going to get my damn dream and that was to fight Grimm. Anubis came back and he was angry with me. Apparently, he was not ready to share with a vampire. “Anubis, I need this.” I whispered as I began doing push-ups in my room. “Cut me some slack, okay?”Anubis: I swear we are not going to get along. I can’t believe you want to wake this fucker up.I smiled to myself as I went back down to the ground for the 50th time. Right when I got up on my arms, the door to my room opened up. I lifted my head up and stared at my father and uncle who stood there, waiting for me. I got off the ground and walked over to the two, waiting for the instructions from one of them.
I was at work when I felt it. You know that one feeling when somebody close to you had died? It felt like a part of me was just torn; not complete at all. Like it would never be complete, ever again. I looked around the bar, trying to control the pain I felt. A broken heart is not a joke at all. I had never cried for anybody before, but this pain I felt in chest made me cave in. Erika was making one of the customer’s drinks when she turned my way. I wiped the tears from my eyes and continued working, not even glancing at her.“Are you okay?” She asked me.“I’m fine.” I said, defensively. She handed the customer his drink and turned back to me, placing her hands on her hips. I already knew he was going to bother me about it, so I decided to open up for the first time.
My eyes were wandering all over the place. They kept going from Triniti to Callighan. As much as I wanted to put my daughter down for messing with an enemy, I just could not do it. When Callighan shot her arm off, the anger I had towards her shifted. I looked at Ember, who stared at Triniti with sadness. She was caught off guard like I was.
Mr. Callighan scared me, still. Dominic was nowhere to be seen and the other packs were fighting on the other side of the Bayou. I held Ember’s hand as I pulled her away from that fucking psychopath. He glanced at me and Ember with excitement. “I don’t have one Moore, I got two.” He said. “What a fucking bargain deal.” He got closer to us and we’d move backwards to distance the pace. I heard a groan
Janelle nor Ms. Greyson has not came back yet. Neither had Triniti. I could feel that something was wrong in the air. A feeling I only got when someone very close was hurt. I paced back and forth in the living room, waiting for somebody to come and tell me that everything was fine and that the war had ended. The shit was getting out of hand and I wish I had the strength to get the war to end. However, Eric was persistent and childish. He was mad over something he had no control over and I could not believe he would even start that shit. I placed my hand on the bandaged area. That bullet was killing me, so I ended up removing it myself since Janelle had left. T
I heard them and my wolf was mad. I stopped fighting my uncle and turned the opposite way. There’s no fucking way, I thought to myself. I ended up, going to where Janelle was. There’s no fucking way, I kept thinking. Kai: Please be okay… As I charged to the area, I heard another gun go off in the same area. I
I was able to gain a tiny bit of energy back, but it was not enough to shift. My wolf was gone, at the moment. I looked up and saw that Erika was gone, which was good. I was angry that she came because she would have never gotten shot by Eric. I turned around and tried getting up, dizziness hitting me hard. “Seth, get up!” Jace shouted as he continued to fight Eric. “My wolf is gone!” I shouted to him as I walked ov
There were so many of them. Eric wanted to make sure he was backed up by many. The Bayou was covered in fucking blood and dead bodies. Wolf members and officers laid lifeless on the ground. There were wolves that lived, but lost their wolf due to the tranquilizer dart that Eric’s officers were shooting us with. That shit was terrible and we were losing a lot of good wolves behind it.&
Yessss… Are you finally calling me out? It took you a minute, but I can’t complain. You have gotten the strength to bring me out. I wonder, were you able to bring that bastard of a wolf out as well? Anubis: Fuck you, you damn bloodsucker. You’re so lucky that stupid son of a bitch subdued me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have allowed your bitch ass to be called out.&nbs
We moved a little faster than planned. My police officers and the officers all around Louisiana were getting anxious. They wanted war to happen now. As much as I wanted it to happen, doing it during the day was not a good time for me. I wanted it at night, when they were mostly active. Once nightfall hit, we took action. Guns were going off, wolves were growling as they launched at my officers. It was beginning to be too much. The wolves that tried to come after me, got nowhere. They were all getting shot with a special dart that Amanda made for us. The dart drained them, physically, subduing their wolves in the process. They won’t be able to shift for a
“Dominic..” I sobbed as soon as I saw Dominic laid out on the bed.I had never cried for a guy before, but when I saw the way he looked, I could not help it. It felt like I lost him, even though his father was told to get him up. I sat on the bed, wiping the tears from my eyes. He looked awful and he smelled like a corpse at the moment. I was not tripping about that at all, I was hurt that he was killed this way. He had a deep gash in his stomach. His head was turned awkward like his neck was snapped. I held the kids close to me, trying to comfort them and to make myself feel better. That was too much for me to witness.
