"Hhh..."
I opened my eyelids very quickly as I felt my entire body being slammed by something very hard. The impact caused a very tight feeling inside my chest. I inhaled and exhaled very quickly, and hoped that the tightness and pain in my chest would disappear. I blinked both of my eyelids in a very quick motion, as I realized that the very bright light before me and also around me was really disturbing the sight of both of my eyes right now.
But when my eyes began to see very clearly, I realized that I was now in a room that was very strange to myself. A room that I had never recognized before. Even more so with the surrounding scent in this room. All of this feels very foreign to me right now. I tried to turn my head, but all parts of my body felt very stiff. I couldn't move the fingers on my hands and feet now.
I closed my eyelids for a moment, and tried to catch my breath again. I hope this isn't a dream. I'm not really dead. I was back to life. I kept saying all the positive things in my own mind. Until I realized that I couldn't feel the presence of my own wolf soul in my body right now. Where is she then? Where is my wolf soul going now? Is she left me alone? Is she not reborn like me?
"Oh my... you finally woke up."
I heard the voice of a man muttering right near me. I glanced over to my left, and found a tall man with well-built shoulders standing looking down at me. I still couldn't see his face clearly, but I was sure there was a long line running across his hard-looking face. A scar that was quite gruesome.
I thought, is it possible that this man is the man who helped me?
Or is it possible that Moon Goddess is taking me to heaven or hell right now?
I still felt on the verge of realizing my own life and death until now. Of course it feels quite terrifying to talk about it any further. Especially after all the prayers I had made and asked of the Moon Goddess, I thought, I shouldn't expect more from the things that the Moon Goddess would grant and also give me.
"Can you talk? Fool, I shouldn't be asking you. I'll get someone to check on you." The man spoke again and just left right there.
I turned my eyes back to the ceiling of the room. Waiting. I think, that is the most appropriate thing for me to be able to do right now. I think, this might be one of my own hallucinations right now. Is it possible that I am really coming back to life now? Is it true that Moon Goddess is giving me a second chance in this life? Is it possible that that man was a good man and helped me? Or is it possible that I've been reborn now? Or what? Why am I still unable to think about the answers to all the things that have happened to me now?
"Check on her. She finally woke up too. But she still hasn't said anything until now." The man came back and spoke to a middle-aged woman dressed quite strangely for me.
"Yes. Yes. I know. I can feel why she still hasn't spoken until now."
The woman muttered while getting closer right to me now. I looked puzzled at this middle-aged woman who was smiling slightly at me right now. But I remained silent and watched the middle-aged woman beside me, and the man standing not far from the middle-aged woman's side over there. Until not long after, the middle-aged woman began to close her eyelids and open her palms towards me. It was then that a blue-colored light emerged from within her palms, and touched all parts of my body.
Witch? This middle-aged woman was a witch?
I've never even met a witch in person. Then now, this middle-aged woman who was trying to do something to me, to my body, was actually a witch. I thought, that's all pretty great too. I closed my eyelids a few times as I felt the chill that was coming in and running through all parts of my body right now. A chill that was very calming and soothing. But that's not all.
With the chill that I felt inside my body right now, I could feel my body starting to fill up with energy again. Although, I myself can't say anything right now. After that, the middle-aged woman witch began to open both her eyelids, and moved her palms away from my body now. Then she looked at the man standing beside her there.
"She's all better now. All the wounds, and all the bad things inside her body are gone. It just needs a little time to recover his strength that's all." The middle-aged woman muttered while slightly glancing at me.
"And you, recover quickly. And don't worry about anything anymore. Because you're already fine now." The middle-aged woman witch muttered right at me.
I tried to nod my head in a slow motion. But I could only feel a slight movement in my head. In return, I myself also tried to display a smile on my face. Although, I don't know whether the smile on my face has appeared or not now. But I think, this middle-aged woman witch can understand about that. But I want to do more than just nod my head and smile as well. After all, I need to recover better very quickly now. If this really is a second chance at life, then I can't just waste it now. I must quickly recover and get better again.
"T-hmm... thank... thank you..."
I did it. I really did it. I could finally manage to speak, and make a sound, albeit one that was still stuttering. It was then that I began to realize that my eyes were welling up with tears now.
"Look, she can talk now."
The middle-aged woman witch muttered as she turned her head back and looked right at the man who was still standing right beside her. The middle-aged woman displayed a wide smile that looked extremely satisfied and relieved.
"I'll make a medicinal potion for her to drink later. And you, should help her. After all, it seems like her whole body still feels stiff." The middle-aged woman witch instantly pointed a finger at the man.
"Me?" The man automatically looked over with confusion there now.
"Of course. You just need to help her drink the potion. At least, until he starts to be able to move one or as or even all of those parts of his body. But that's no big deal. By drinking the potion I made regularly, then his condition will get even better quickly from now on." The woman explained.
"But I..."
The man muttered slowly, and tried to speak now. Before in the end, the middle-aged woman witch raised her right palm, and directly interrupted the man's speech by muttering.
"Then I'll leave for now. I will definitely come back into this room soon, when the medicinal potion I made is finished. Okay? See you later."
Then after that, the middle-aged woman witch immediately walked away and left the room. Leaving me and also the strange man who was still standing stiffly beside the bed I was in. Until not long after, the man began to turn his head and look right at me.
"Um, so... you... shit, I don't know what to say now." The man let out a small curse as he turned his body around, and ran a hand through his hair to the nape of his neck.
"I have to go. I thought, you must not need anything yet. But I'll be back soon. I have to take care of something with that witch." The man muttered without looking at me, and simply walked out of the room. I let out my breath slowly.
I thought, that guy is indeed a nice guy. Or perhaps, I've been asleep for so long that he's gotten used to me being unconscious. So, when I wake up like this, he gets annoyed. I turned my eyes back to the ceiling of the room. Waiting. Yes, I think that's all I can do now. I'm sure, witches aren't always bad. And I'm also sure that with me drinking the potion that the witch has made, I will recover quickly.
Now, I also have to think about all the things I'm going to do to Harrison Hux. Alpha of The Silver Moon Pack. A name that I will never forget. A pack that I will also never forget. Both of them deserve to be destroyed. After all, I had managed to get a second chance in my life that was almost on the brink of death.
Although I don't know if I was really reborn, or reawakened. In what year. On what day or month. And under what name. I'm still thinking about many questions in my own mind right now. I hope that I can quickly find the answers that I desperately need. No matter how long it takes, I must and must also get all those answers later.
"Oh... gosh..."
I mumbled softly as I felt the cold that was coming back into all parts of my body now. I could feel the cold from the top of my head down to the tips of my feet. I could feel the coldness surrounding my entire body. It also instantly made me shiver with cold. It was then that I could feel all the muscles in my body trembling, stretching, and moving in slow motion. It was as if the presence of this cold all over my body now, had awakened all the energy stored deep inside my body from earlier. I could feel the warmth of my own blood starting to flow smoothly to every part of my body now.
And this all felt very relieving and pleasant as well. How could it be? I thought to myself. I could feel all the stiff muscles of my body turning into flexibility and made me start to feel the softness of my skin right now. I blinked my eyelids a few times with very fast movements. I try to move both my palms and feet. I started to feel the fingers on my hands and the fingers on my feet moving slowly.
I instantly couldn't hide the happiness I felt in my own heart right now. I was finally able to move. I don't know where all the strength I had inside my body came from, to be able to recover so quickly right now. I feel a growing euphoria within my own feelings. And it was becoming very difficult for me to overcome all the feelings of relief and exhilaration like this for myself.
"Moon Goddess... thank you so much..."
I muttered once more, when in the end, I was actually able to move both my legs and both hands there. I raised my hands high, and I looked at her with a look of amazement. Both my hands looked fine.
Is it possible if I can sit or stand or walk too now? I wondered to myself instantly. I let out my breath slowly, and I could feel my whole body feeling tense and panicked right now. But I thought, I need to try that too. I should try to sit up or stand up or walk now. I must be able to. And I definitely can. Then after that, I slowly bent my legs, and placed my hands at my sides. I sighed once more, and exerted all the strength I had, until I was finally able to sit up and directly leaned my body against the headboard.
At that moment, I could clearly see the condition of the entire room I was in now. It was a room that was dominated by gray and felt very masculine. I thought, this was probably that guy's room before, and he put me in this room. Not waiting long, I turned my head and looked at the white tiled floor there. Slowly, I began to lower my legs, and was surprised to feel a chill on the floor I was now standing on. I grasped the mattress I was sitting on tightly with both palms, and again exerted myself to stand up from the bed now.
The moment I managed to stand up, a slight dizziness immediately attacked my head, and made me close my eyelids for a moment. I sighed and tried to prevent the nausea I felt. I don't know how long I had been lying down, until I felt this effect. I started to step my feet very slowly, and was a little stiff there. Although I was still limping, I could walk slowly now. Until my eyes looked right at the mirror at the end of the room. I instantly remembered the part of my face that was burned by Harrison, and my whole body trembled remembering that pain now. I ventured to step much closer to the mirror there.
My legs trembled even more as I approached the mirror right there. I was gasping for breath with a feeling of tightness that was quite difficult for me to feel right now. Two or up to three more steps towards that mirror and I immediately paused to stop my footsteps now. I let out my breath once more, and decided to close my eyelids quite tightly now.
I didn't know about how ready my own heart was to be able to look directly at the condition of my face right now. After the memory of the night Harrison burned part of my face, I seemed to have lost my other identity. The face of my mother and father combined on my face. I didn't know what condition it was in. Is it that bad or that bad? I don't know at all. But I also had to be prepared for the worst right now.
I kept my eyelids tightly closed, while walking back towards the mirror that was still a few steps ahead of me there. I pointed both my palms forward and managed to reach the dressing table, where the mirror was. I paused for a moment, and slowly began to open my eyelids to look at my own reflection through the mirror now. The blurry look of both eyes greeted me unceremoniously.
Remembering how tightly I had closed my eyelids earlier there. I instantly blinked my eyelids a few times in a fairly quick motion. Trying to get rid of the blurry vision in my eyes now. Until not long after, the vision of my two eyes now completely became clear, and I began to look right at the reflection of myself right there in the mirror now.
"No... no... this is impossible."
I shook my head in a quick motion. The grip of my two hands that had been tightly gripping the dressing table in front of me was instantly released. I took a few steps backward. I looked in disbelief right at the image of myself there. In the end, I could no longer keep my balance, and fell quite hard onto the floor in the room right now. Even my breathing began to pant uncertainly now. My eyes which were starting to well up with tears there, further blurred my vision, and also crushed my feelings right now.
"No... no way... why is this? Why?! No!!! It can't be!!!" I shouted out loudly without being able to control myself right now. I lowered my body facing right towards the floor, until my entire face was covered by my now long hair. And I cried.
Third POV "Isn't that the girl's voice?" Elijah asked directly to Emrys, the female witch who was concocting medicinal potions inside her room there. Emrys looked straight at Elijah who was frowning frantically. "I think it's true. That seems to be the girl's voice." Emrys replied mutteringly while putting back the herbal ingredients that were in the palm of his hands there. "I'll check it out." Elijah muttered, then ran very quickly to the room where Luciana was right now. Elijah ran up the stairs, and opened the door to the room with a swift motion. Elijah looked at the bed, and immediately widened his eyes, unable to find Luciana there. Elijah walked into the room, casting his eyes in every direction in the room. And not long after that, Elijah heard the sound of sobbing on the other side of the bed there. "Oh my... hey..." Elijah muttered with relief when he found Luciana still sitting on the floor with her body bent over crying now. Elijah quickly, walked over to Luciana,
"Wait a minute..." I muttered and tried to prevent the man who had helped me from moving. Slowly, he turned around and looked at me in confusion. "My name is Luciana, Luciana Edith. It would be much worse if I myself didn't even know the name of someone who had helped me. So, what's your name?" I asked slowly. Remembering that I hadn't even asked about names or even the house I'd been living in for the past year. The man instantly broke into a small smile there. "My name is Elijah, Elijah Gray. I am a Lycan King. And this is my pack, my kingdom. The Blodlust Moon Pack." I nodded my head in slow motion. Trying to keep remembering the man's name and also the name of his pack. Elijah Gray and The Blodlust Moon Pack. Both names that felt very unfamiliar to me. Because I had never even met the Lycan King in person before. "Alright. Thanks..." "I'll be right back together with Emrys. Get some rest first then." Elijah quickly walked back out of the room. And I fell silent again. I fe
"Hahahaha!!!"I laughed quite loudly after listening to all the words said by Elijah, Emrys and Josiah over there. I felt both funny and amused as I tried to understand each of their words about my own identity now. Even more so when I looked right at the faces of Elijah, Emrys, and also Josiah who began to show a confused expression while looking at me who was still laughing now. I tried to stop my laughter even though it was very difficult. That instantly made Elijah's hand grip on my shoulder become loose, and he began to frown quite deeply there."Gosh... hahaha... gosh, I can't stop laughing. Ehem... pfftt... that's so funny. I mean, you guys are saying that I'm a hybrid now? Half werewolf and half witch?"I looked back at Elijah, Emrys, and Josiah with a curl of my lips to contain my laughter now. I also blinked my eyelids a few times."Yes, Luciana. We're trying to say that you're no longer an ordinary werewolf. But a hybrid. Half werewolf and half witch."Elijah muttered as he
Third POVElijah walked together with Luciana through the forest to The Crescent Moon Pack's location now. Even with her feet limping slowly, Luciana kept walking with all the strength she had now. Luciana continued to pray and also hoped that the heirloom belonging to The Crescent Moon Pack that she had hidden inside the secret basement wall was still safely hidden there. It had been one year since the events of the most terrifying night of her life. Luciana thought it was about time she should steel her heart and straighten her whole body. After all, her own heart had turned to stone and hardened ever since Harrison Hux, her ex-mate decided to kill all the family and members of The Crescent Moon Pack, reject her as his mate, and make the night of Luciana's eighteenth birthday so devastating. Luciana herself did not want to remember that night. But she was now nineteen years old. One year had passed in vain in her life now. But no matter, Luciana thought to herself over and over agai
Third POVElijah looked at Luciana who was still lying unconscious on the bed in the room with a very hard expression on his face, it was almost impossible to understand what Elijah was currently feeling and thinking about now. There was a deep frown on Elijah's forehead. Elijah who crossed his arms in front of his chest, and waited."How is she now?" Elijah asked in a low tone of voice. He tried not to disturb the concentration of Emrys and Josiah who were examining Luciana's current condition.Emrys sighed softly, as he lowered his open palms towards Luciana there. He finished checking Luciana's condition. "She's in shock, of course. Especially after everything that happened in her life, a year ago. And now, with her family heirloom gone. I think it would be best if she rested a little longer." Emrys muttered."That's right. She's still not in fully recovered. Adding all that baggage to her mind won't make it any easier for her to get better now." Josiah muttered and agreed with wha
I walked slowly alongside the rushing river, making my way towards the location of The Silver Moon Pack, Harrison Hux's pack. I have and continue to stabilize every footstep I take to be able to continue walking forward and forward to where I am now. I'm not going to dwell too much on my doubts anymore. I'm no longer even concerned with the pain and weakness that I can still feel all over my body right now. All I wanted now was certainty. Carrying a long, dark red cloth that I found in Elijah's closet could help me cover my entire body from head to toe. In the hope that no one else would be able to recognize me now.I stopped walking for a moment when I reached the gate of The Silver Moon Pack. I frowned as I realized that there were all sorts of luxurious decorations adorning all parts of the gate. On top of that, there were many immortals who had come and entered the pack's gate. With slow steps, I tried to sneak in among the many guests who were walking in their fancy clothes.Even
"Oh, my gosh. Where have you been, Luciana? You left without saying anything to us. Are you okay? You're not hurt in the slightest, are you?" Emrys immediately grasped both my arms quite tightly as I stepped into Elijah's pack slowly there. Emrys looked very worried, and even started looking me up and down. Turning my body around to look for something that was on her mind right now. I grimaced unpleasantly at how worried this middle-aged woman was about me. I myself didn't realize that my leaving earlier to see The Silver Moon Pack would affect them at all."Yes, Luciana. Are you okay? Where did you go? Why didn't you say anything to us? Especially to Elijah." Josiah spoke up after Emrys stopped checking the condition of my body, which was already fine there."I... I'm fine. I'm not hurt in the slightest." I mumbled and tried to answer their same question. But my attention was immediately distracted by Elijah who was walking with his long, quick footsteps towards his room. The room I
"Alright then. I agree."Gosh, did I really say that directly to Elijah now? I almost choked myself with the rush of my breath that felt so labored right now. I couldn't believe the courage that had come from nowhere in my body. But that's exactly what I said to Elijah.I accepted the terms he gave me. By becoming his own, he would help me avenge Harrison Hux in a beautiful way. And I don't know what possessed my mind that I immediately agreed to Elijah's words in front of me right now."Good. Then, get ready tomorrow and come with me."Elijah muttered, still with that smile on his lips now. Slowly, Elijah released his hug on my waist and walked away from me. Elijah walked towards the door of the room. I turned around, and looked at him confused once again."Where are we going tomorrow?" I couldn't stop myself from asking him.Elijah paused by the door, before finally tilting his head back slightly, and glancing at me. I paused. Realizing that Elijah's eyes looked even more different
