Chapter 58 - André

I never thought Bisnonna would die. I mean, rationally, I knew she would, but it just felt like she’s some eternal person.

I didn’t think I’d be this affected by her dying either. Of everything, though, I shouldn’t be surprised that Darren’s good at handling me.

He’s very comfy. And glittery. Why is Darren glittery? What was he doing between me getting in the elevator and showing up in Papa’s office? I’ll ask later.

But, for now, I’m going to just enjoy cuddling into him, talking out about Bisnonna. And enjoying being out in the open with him like this.

“Why did your Bisnonna hate Alpha Alec? Yes, your mother wasn’t his mate but not uncommon for werewolves to get involved with humans. Especially if they’ve gone a long time without finding their mate.” Darren questioned.

“Well, Bisnonna and Melania had this prophecy back before Papa was born.” I sighed.

I tried to remember the exact words. Darren just waited, letting m

Sitting here talking about this. Talking about the very immediate future of running Madonie is making it very real. We’re actually going to do this. We are going to be given a pack and told to run it. Fuck I don’t even know how to run a pack. I know how to efficiently run a military op and keep troops in order. But that’s different from running a pack. There’s so much more to it than the military side. ‘Well, isn’t it a good thing you won’t be the Alpha? André will be the Alpha. You just have to stand there and look pretty like a good Luna.’ Cardinal taunted. I growled at him. ‘I dare you to tell Luna Aurelia all she’s supposed to do is stand there looking pretty. She and her wolf would kill us where we stand.’ I scoffed. ‘I’m just teasing. We just have to support André. And that is something we were born for.’ Cardinal shrugged. I rolled my eyes and focused on the conversation. Amelia? As his Gamma? I thought about i

André chuckled, squeezing my hand. “Oh, you poor thing. And I mean, I honestly couldn’t tell you where Oregon or Washington are on a map. I know they are in America.” I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, I might need to educate you on the states.” I sighed as we entered the elevator. “Seems fair. You educate me on your country, and I’ll educate you on mine.” André shrugged. “Now, I’m sure Alpha Logan and Beta John won’t notice the glitter.” He smiled, leading the way to his office. Somehow I doubt I would be so lucky. And well, once I got the video call pulled up on the wall-mounted TV, I prepared for the worst. Alpha Logan and Beta John came on the screen, Alpha Logan sitting at his desk with John standing slightly behind him on the left. “Darren, why the fuck are you covered in glitter?” Alpha Logan instantly greeted. “Collin and Kurt thought it was necessary to explode glitter poppers at me when I arrived this morning to celebrate finding

I couldn’t believe it when I heard it. Maybe the Kinsley brothers were joking, trying to mess with Darren. But I didn’t see any humor in the handsome faces of the Kinsley men. Which damn, they are an attractive set of brothers. John is clean-shaven and proper in the best kind of way. Then Logan has this wild man look with the scruffy face and casual clothes. Both work for each man, and you can just tell they would be a wild ride. ‘Will you stop thinking about the Kinsley wolves. We have a mate.’ Duilio rolled his eyes at me. ‘I’m not thinking about them like that. I can’t touch, but I can appreciate good-looking men even if mated. Plus, both Kinsley men have mates.’ I rolled my eyes right back. And besides, I’m more focused on what John said about Katrina. She could get a WOLF! I couldn’t contain how happy that made me. We hurried to the hospital, where I knew I’ll find my sister until Tiberius had been discharged. This is

My things cannot get here fast enough. I know my family packed my apartment up and shipped everything for me. I’m very grateful to them. I wish they’d sent my clothes first, like express. I have nothing against André’s clothes. I really don’t. André’s clothes are of good quality and look good on him. The issue is they are very much not my style, and I only brought a few days’ worths of clothes since I had come here for war. And obviously wouldn’t have brought my swim trunks. It’s a good thing I love him, and he was just messing with me. Because there was no way in hell, I was wearing those god-awful speedo, thongs, whatever you want to call them. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing those anywhere. I was thankful that he didn’t actually expect me to wear those. I was caught off guard by his declaration. I know of the last few days he’s been using what he called training plugs during sex. When I agreed to let him us

“In a hurry or something?” I arched an eyebrow noticing how fast André was driving. “I love my family. I do. But yes, I’m in a hurry to get to the Night Haven. I have plans for you tonight, and I’m not going to let them get derailed because my family suckered us into staying so late we just want to sleep.” André smirked. “And I derail your plans?” I countered. After all, this is my ass that we’re talking about. And there’s a massive difference between the size of one of those plugs and his dick. “You are the only one that can. You know I won’t do something you don’t want. But trust me, Tesoro Mio, you will be begging me for it before I give it to you.” He winked. “When have I ever begged you?” I countered. This man is something else. “I seem to remember a few moans of please André coming from those lips the other night when I kept edging you.” He countered smugly. Fuck. Okay, André has me there. “Okay, so ther

Last night was AMAZING. I’m not sure which I like better fucking him or getting fucked by him. Coin toss, as both feel so damn good. And he can’t tell me he didn’t enjoy it because I have eyes and ears, but the bond also told me just how much he was into it. I was sad knowing it was our last time doing it here. I’m not even sure where we will be staying in Madonie. Cause I know, I am not sleeping in any rooms that Icky Iggy has been in. There was no big farewell or anything as we left. Just me and Darren in my car with the trunk and backseat packed with mostly my stuff. Darren still only has a duffle worth of clothes till his things arrive from the states. I smirked as I shuffled through my playlist and hit play on Kiss by Prince. Darren groaned, running his hand over his face. “Seriously? You are not going to constantly play Prince songs, right?” He arched a concerned brow at me. “Maybe. But come on, I like this song. It’s a

Our first week unofficially running Madonie has been chaos, to say the least. There are so many people here that lost families, homes, and businesses because of Ignazio. And I’ve been trying to get it all organized for André to address. It’s a good thing I have an organized military-like mind. I’ve been categorizing all the requests coming at us into three categories. High, medium, and low for urgency and importance. I’ve been trying to get a hold of Stephen and Amelia since André wants her to be his Gamma. But I have gotten no answer for a week. As I got his voicemail again, I sighed. “What the hell could happen for him to not answer his phone for a week?” I grumbled. “Oh, I could think of many reasons to not answer a phone.” André snickered from the chaise he’d put in what apparently will end up being my office. Of course, he had it put near a window. So he’s stretched out like a cat soaking up the sunshine. One arm up, h

Two weeks living in Madonie. Shudder, living in that packhouse. It’s nothing personal against the pack or the villa. Even after three deep cleans of every room, I can still smell the lingering odor of that piece of shit. “Nicolao…” I called out to our head butler. I was hurrying out of the elevator when I spotted him. We are supposed to be leaving for Incubi for tomorrow’s Luna ceremony. “Yes, Alpha?” Nicolao stopped what he was doing to bow his head, keep his head down. I sighed because Icky boy did a number on these people. They are all scared of me and barely make eye contact hell, they barely look up when I’m around. Stupid bastard wishes I could revive him just to kill him again. “I know it’s a lot to ask. Especially as your staff has done a great job already. But I’m still picking up lingering scents of him. And I get that he lived here his whole life, so it might be impossible.” I sighed. “You wish for another deep clean o

Éowyn POVI spent today with Grandma. It was fun. She let me try some of the treats she was eating. I can say that I liked the bacio, chocolate and hazelnut for you Americans, gelato. It reminded me of the before times. The before times were before my siblings and I were taken from the womb. Other than tasty treats, Grandma bought me a little moon plushie toy that caught my eye. It’s officially my favorite thing. I don’t know what the moon has to do with what we are celebrating, but I do know that the moon is important to our people. And well, I love the moon. It’s so pretty to look at in the night sky. When we got home, we all got a bath, yuck. I wouldn’t say I like baths. Amaryllis loves baths so much she plays around in the water. I prefer to get it over with and get out of the water. Who wants to sit in their filth? But whatever. After bath time, we were put in special pajamas for the holiday. They were comfier than those fancy clothes we had to wear for the festival. “Azriel,

Lando POVAs expected after the incident, the presence of on-duty warriors around the Christmas festival became more apparent. Dad and Papa were taking no chances that another attempt would happen. To help ensure the safety of the heirs, they were moved from their strollers to the chest baby carriers. I wasn’t surprised that Papa took Caspian. They never play favorites, but someone just tried to kidnap Cas, so it’s natural to be more protective of him today. I was pleasantly surprised that I was entrusted with Aragon. I would have thought the babies would be with adults, specifically those with wolves, to protect them better. It felt good that I was trusted to protect my baby brother. I won’t have my wolf for another two years, but wolf or not, I would fight to my last breath to protect any of my siblings. We stuck together as we moved around the festival. I stopped at one of the game booths when Aragon showed interest in one of the toys on display. What kind of big brother would I

Darren POVI have not been this terrified since Delilah had that placenta issue in April. I had hoped I would never be that afraid again. Yet when that fucking photographer took Caspian from me, I felt it in my gut something was wrong. It didn’t settle my nerves that he also had Amaryllis move from André to Dad. The more times I saw the babies rearranged, the angrier I became. It was like those con artists with the pebble under the cup. Keeping track of where all four babies went was their plan. They thought they could hand Caspian to someone who wasn’t part of the family and get away with it. They thought wrong. I noticed the switch, and Caspian was not the baby that would go quietly. My boy has his Papa’s sass when a situation isn’t to his liking. I had passed Amaryllis to Sadria and shouted for my brothers to get the photographer as I ran toward Caspian’s cries. André had been right on my heels when he handed Aragon to Alison. André had shifted mid-chase and used his speed to g

André POV Everyone knows that I live for celebrations. I go all out for holidays, especially Christmas. This year and probably every Christmas till my babies are grown enough to say, ‘Papa, stop,’ I am going to go all out. This will be my babies’ 1st Christmas, and I want it to be spectacular. I know they are only five months old and won’t remember it, but there will be pictures and videos that we can show them as they grow up. All Madonie wanted to celebrate and make this Christmas special for their new princes and princesses. We’ve been often asked which heirs were mine, but we never tell. Sure, we gave Caspian and Aragon my surname, while our girls Amaryllis and Éowyn have Darren’s. But that’s not common knowledge. And I don’t know if I’ll keep it that way. I’ve considered updating their official birth certificates to Delaney-D’Amore for all four. As far as the pack knows, their surnames are all D’Amore. It might be wrong, but I want to keep it that way. I won’t have them tre

One of my favorite holidays is tomorrow! And for the first time, I have someone to celebrate with. I can’t wait to spend the day with Darren. Oh, the plans I have for that man. I know my mate inside and out. And you can take that any way you want. Innuendo or otherwise, it’s true. Darren hides his emotions well behind that handsome mask. “So you got big plans for tomorrow?” Colby’s question had me confused. I furrowed my brow watching as my identical brother’s expression went from neutral to concerned to now he’s laughing. The fucker calls me on video chat while I’m busy with pack business and laughs at me. “What? Why are you laughing?” I sighed. My brother makes no sense sometimes. I honestly think he’s just trying to mess with me. “You… oh Goddess. You forgot what tomorrow is!” Colby’s words were coming out in huffs of laughter. He was so loud Alison waddled into the frame. She didn’t look pleased with the disturbance. “What are you so loud about? I was enjoying an excellent book

  • The Hybrid Alpha    Epilogue - André

I’ve heard the saying that time flies when you’re having fun. And I have to say it’s true. Five years ago, I was an Alpha heir who was single and happily mingling. Today I’m the Alpha of Madonie celebrating my fifth anniversary with my mate and will be throwing a birthday bash for our son’s thirteenth birthday in a few weeks. How can we have a thirteen year old when we’ve only been together for five years? Duh, the same way two males could have a kid. Adoption. Adding Lando to our family was like the cherry on top. He just made it all come together. Love that kid. This is why today’s meeting is kind of annoying me. I’m sitting in one of the meeting rooms at the Incubi town hall. Why am I in Incubi? Beyond coming to spoil my little sisters? Trust me, those girls want for nothing. They’ve got us all wrapped around their tiny toddler pinkies. Lando is in love with his aunties. I digress. I’m here having a tri-pack meeting with Papa and Tiberius. Our mates and Betas are of cours

  • The Hybrid Alpha    Epilogue - Darren

The last few months have been a whirlwind in Madonie. Our villa’s construction is moving along very fast. A lot faster than I thought it would. But I suppose when everything is being handled within the pack, things get done quicker. Before we boarded our flight to Bloodmoon, our contractor told us we should be able to move in not long after we return. That, of course, made André and Lando happy. While neither has any dislike for the pack villa, André has talked about having our own family home enough that Lando is excited to have a home again that will be just for his family. I think part of Lando’s reasoning is that we’ve adopted him, so he’d like to not live in the pack villa with the other orphans still waiting to either be claimed by family or adopted by new families. And I can’t fault him for that. The kids started treating him differently after we officially adopted him. He went from being what they called the favored to now the Pr
