On her own two feet

“She literally hasn’t slowed down since she got the idea in her head and it’s scary.” Max all but whined to his best friends as they watched Star rush around.

When she proposed the idea of a housewarming he readily agreed to the idea simply because she asked, not knowing how he’d come to regret it. Star didn’t seem to care much about slowing down and Max fought with his instinct to protect her- even from herself, in an effort to give her some of the independence she craved, but he still worried incessantly that she would hurt or overexert herself.

“I think she’s doing great, it's pretty impressive what she’s been able to achieve while still on crutches and maybe this is what she needs to get back into the swing of things.” Landon sided with her, much to Max’s annoyance.

“I hate how everyone takes her side,” Max grumbled, folding his arms over his chest like a petulant child.

“You do too, honey.” Donna supplied like it was yesterday’s news and Max’s scowl de
