It was instant. The bond shattering like glass. Though it had been faint for years, the link between father and son never faded a single bit. His breath caught in his throat and his heart thundered in his ears. It was only for a second before his heart settled back to an steady rhythm once more and he was able to breathe normally again. He glanced around the hallway, grateful that no eyes were directed his way while he adjusted his tie and continued forward.
Now there were two.
"Alpha Godfried." A sweet voice caught his ears from behind him. He glanced over his shoulder to peer back and find Jade, the Dark Witch that had accompanied him for years running up to him with an excited smile on her red deviled lips. His eyes swept over her as she approached him, taking in her tight black lacey skirt that exposed her snow white skin and a blood red corset that pushed up her petite breasts. She was delightful to look at, easy on the eyes, buPerforming Jenkins' funeral was out of the norm for Amira. As someone that was not accustom to Supernatural traditions, she felt out of place while Aiden buried his grandfather deeper in the forest. Even with Leyla accompanying her, she felt even more out of place than she did originally. The only thing she knew for certain between their worlds: death was the same for everyone.Amira side glanced Aiden as he stabbed the shovel into the ground and leaned on it slightly. His hands dirty from the soil and grass were lightly trembling. She followed up from there to his broad shoulders as he caught his breath. He wore his usual black t-shirt, even with the change of the seasons, the slight drop in temperature hadn't effected his attire. As her eyes reached his face, the sunset outlined his chiseled features, but she couldn't mistake the darkness within those eyes of his.She stepped toward him and rested a hand on his back. She felt the tension in his musc
There was something about this Amira girl that Willow couldn't help relating to. Perhaps it was the relation to the Supernatural world, or that their partners had Supernatural capabilites. Maybe it was something in regards to their pasts. Even with different upbringings, Willow felt the sorrow that was contained deep within Amira's heart. She knew what that feeling was, but it was of a different scenario that caused hers. Abuse. Neglect. Suicidal thoughts. Death. Whatever it was, there was a connection between them that was on a whole other level compared to her own bond with Dante."I couldn't bring myself to move her. I don't know if I even could." Amira told her, breaking through her thoughts. Willow side eyed the white haired woman before shifting her gaze ahead. The autumn leaves drifted gracefully to the forest floor and crunched beneath their boots. Willow took in a breath of the nature that surrounded her. Rich soil at her feet. The light breeze ruffled th
Grief and sadness was not his favorite companions. Losing Jenkins tore his heart apart. The very man that taught him his first oil change. The very Wolf that taught him to enjoy his freedom as a beast. When they were exiled and he took them in, he learned that family was not always about blood. Jenkins became the father figure he needed in his life when his own disowned him entirely. The sky darkened to a depressing grey, a chilly breeze stirring the leaves above him as he made his walk through the forest along Darlow. Ever since the Light Witch, Willow received Janice's powers, she had fallen into a comatose like state. Dante, the first Vampire, didn't appear at all alarmed by this. The bond they shared must be reassuring enough to know that this was only going to be temporary. While he dealt with her, Jax who had overseen everything with them remained quiet. Aiden only hoped that his perspective on the Supernatural would change for the better, but the outcomes w
Aiden shielded Amira while she dressed behind him while he faced off with Conner and Winston. It wasn't what he had expected to see in the middle of the forest, but he couldn't deny that he was relieved to see them after all these years. As the thunder softly rolled on over them, Winston stopped with his nose to the air. Aiden's body instinctively stood as close as he could to Amira when his eyes caught sight of the Mark on his neck."You're Mated." He sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair, his eyes glanced over to Connor where he noticed another Mark on his neck, "You too. That's great, but furthermore, what are you two doing here?" He asked when he felt Amira's hand on his bare back. He peered over his shoulder to see her fully clothed again with mud still caked on neck and face."We came here to seek your help." Winston rested an arm around Connor's shoulders and held him close. It was rare for Mates to be of the same sex, but it wasn't abn
Soft giggling drew his attention over his paperwork to the little girl in front of his desk. Her black and blonde hair in pigtails and her green and red eyes sparkled with glee. He raised a brow at the child before lowering his gaze down to his papers again. The giggling only intensified. He rested the paper down on his desk, leaning forward on his elbows to intimidate the child. She only giggled more."You have a strong will, Myra." He said as he leaned back in his chair and waved her around. She jumped up before she dashed around to hop on his lap, "Surely you'd have more fun with your toys rather than me.""I wanna play with daddy." She grumbled as she puffed out her cheeks. He couldn't control the corners of his lips twitching. He sighed as he got up from his chair while holding her in his arms as he stood in front of the large window that looked out over the training yard. He watched as Damion paced along a line of fresh recruits, his voice echoi
She picked up the third Grimoire, blowing the dust off of it and ran her fingers over the intricate leather bound cover. She sat cross-legged amidst the pile upon piles of books Janice left behind. With each slow turn of a page, time flew on by, but she hadn't been able to get any answers that she hoped for. Amira let out a breath as she casted her gaze over to the mystery book she had yet to crack open since she had received it some time ago. She still didn't quite understand the significance behind it, but she hoped Willow did. Whenever she woke up again."This is going to take me ages." She blew her hair from her face, "Grimoires are spellbooks." She snapped the book shut, "I need a book on the actual history of... anything at this point." She set the book aside for now and brushed the dust off of her knees."Having a hard time?" Aiden's voice surprised you from the gated entrance. He leaned against the metal frame, his hands in his pockets and his
The chill in the air caressed her cheeks and kissed her nose. Her eyes fluttered open and took in the change in scenery. She had grown used to her mind being thrown around from place to place, yet right now her mind felt even more drained than it normally did while she experienced a vision. It could be for the fact she had just awoken after being in a comatose like state for some time, or maybe there was another reason all together. She cast her gaze around to the desolate trees that surrounded her. She could have mistaken it as the forest she had visited to see Hecate, but there was no lush greenery to fill her sights or the coiling of a snake around her feet. This place felt more isolated with the barren trees with not a shred of life to them. The ground dulled down with brown grass and cracked dirt patches like the area hadn't seen rain for weeks. She turned her attention to the left and to the right. There wasn't a single life form within the vicinity. No squirrels. No birds. Not
When Willow came to, she had a look on her face that Aiden could only describe as realization and acceptance. She blinked a few times with Dante beside her. Aiden never saw someone disappear mentally like that before, but he half expected for her to not come back looking so calm either."It all makes sense." She finally said, "Her revenge and why we are connected." Her eyes lifted to Amira's. Aiden glanced over to his Mate and recognized the glimmer of acknowledgment in hers."What did you see, my dear?" Dante asked as he tucked her hair behind her ear. Aiden followed the tuck down for a moment and noticed two dark scars on Willow's neck that he could only assume were left by Dante at some point. He felt his stomach churn for a moment as he turned his gaze away and stood a bit closer to Amira. She raised a brow at him questioningly."All that I needed to." She said as her hands rested in her lap, "I watched the day Karmina died."&
The moon hung high in the sky. The windowpane gently rattled from the wind. Fresh leaves had begun to bud on the trees in their garden. Spring had finally arrived. She hummed softly, her fingers tracing a small circle on the infant's back as she rocked him to sleep. His head snuggled against her chest, the light sucking of his pacifier filled her ears. His twin snored softly in his crib with a light blue blanket snuggled into his arms. She shut her eyes, her heart beat steady and her mind at ease for the first time in months. The birth of the twins took a toll on her body worse than she had ever imagined. She was hospitalized. Bedridden until her vitals were normal again. Even with Nox assisting her, there was only so much the Wolf spirit could do for a vessel that wasn't his own. A gentle knock came from the closed door before it creaked open for Jayce's head to peer in. His tender smile still made her heart flutter as he stepped in and made his wa
Darlow turned into a ghost town once the battle had officially ended. Any memory of the town had been wiped clean from the citizens that had called it home. The Werewolf community took it upon themselves to clear it out and put whatever was left behind to good use in their new home. Lymeria was on rest after her collision with her ex-Mate, but she was stronger than what he gave her credit for. As for his own Mate. She was still healing after she lost her father in the fight. Leyla had taken temporary leadership of the Hunters until Amira felt she was ready to take over her father's footsteps. She was still healing as well with the loss of her lover, even with the brave face she had put on. The world still moved on and darkness still lingered at every corner. Willow advised later it to burn the deceased that were not turned during the fight, in order to prevent any further undead to wander about. She was handling things slowly with her new abilities. Aiden had caught her freque
Lymeria snarled aggressively at Godfried. The fur on her back rose to make herself appear larger than what she was. Whatever had gone through Godfried's head in that moment must've vanished as he lowered his head to the ground, his black stained teeth bare as he growled challengingly at Lymeria. Amira looked between them when she felt Jax shift in her arms. She looked down at her pale-faced father, his eyes dark as he struggled to speak."Don't speak. Please." Amira swallowed her emotions that fought to come forward. She glanced around the battle with urgency to find her Mate across the clearing with a few of the undead creatures surrounding him. A howl ripped through the air that drew her attention back to Lymeria as Godfried charged and tackled her to the ground. Lymeria barked and snarled as she clawed and bit him, but it wasn't enough to faze him. His jaws snapped at her throat, but she wiggled free in time. His claws dug into her ribs, that caused Lymeria to
Everything happened so quickly. Echoes of gunfire rang loud and clear. The snarls and growls of both monster and beast reverberated in the night. Aidan disappeared into the fray while Amira kept her crossbow up and her back turned away from the monstrosities. Yet with each one that fell, another would take its place. Even with the extra magical power that Willow had extended to the rest of them, it barely put a dent in the Dark Witch's undead army. The unsettling part was that Godfried hadn't made a single move yet. He remained poised beside his Witch near the back of the clearing where they had entered from. Even from the distance, he was an imposing figure.A bark caught her attention. Her gaze swiveled around to find a she-Wolf cornered by two undead creatures. Blood and black ooze coated her grey fur, claw wounds exposed on her chest and she panted heavily from exhaustion of the fight. Amira could see the energy leaving this Wolf's body and it wouldn't be long
He let out a slow, steady breath after getting out of Amira's truck. His eyes scanned the dark forest while Amira grabbed her weapons from the bed of the truck. He could hear the light crunch of snow being traveled through by his pack while on their way to the destination. He peered over at Amira after she closed the back up and slung her crossbow over her shoulders. She set aside her casual brown leather jacket and jeans for a tight fitted black leather jacket, black cargo pants and black combat boots to match. She had pulled her white hair back into a ponytail with braids tied in it.She lifted her gaze to meet his and tried to give him a reassuring smile, but the corners of her lips just wouldn't rise. He walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder, "Everything will be alright."She let out a breath. "I know, but this feels almost like déjà vu." She looked over as another set of headlights came up behind her truck and parked there.
Snow crunched beneath her boots as she walked alongside the lake. Ice layered the surface of the water and gave a beautiful reflection of the moon and stars. Time was about to run out before Godfried and his Witch would arrive, and she still felt ill-prepared for what laid ahead. Even though a truce was made between the Hunters and the Werewolves, the tension was so thick, not even a knife could cut through it. As reluctant as everyone was, training and preparations were still coming along as well as she could hope for. Even in the short time frame that they had."Amira?" Jax called out to her from behind. She peered over her shoulder to her father who looked far older than she remembered him being the last time she saw him. He had his hands stuffed into his dark leather jacket as he walked up to stand beside her. His dark hair streaked with grey and bags lined under his eyes."When did you sleep last?" She asked him as a cold breeze brushed through t
He folded his arms over his broad chest as he gazed at the sleeping Willow and Dante snuggled up on the small sofa tucked into the corner of the bookshop. When he awoke and noticed that his Mate hadn't come to bed, he grew a bit worried and came down to investigate. He wasn't expecting to find the Vampire and his partner asleep on the sofa when he came to check up on her. He inclined his head as he admired the view for just a moment of the two lovers. In their peaceful sleeping state, they appeared as an ordinary couple that happened to doze off together.Aiden peered over to the open gate to the restricted section and saw Amira slightly slouched forward while sitting upright. He shook his head, not at all surprised that she had fallen asleep in that position as he had caught her doing it once before. He walked around the desk and stood behind her while he leaned against the metal doorframe."Hey." He nudged her gently with his foot, "Sleepyhead, wake
The warmth of the sun surprised her as her eyes fluttered open to find herself standing in a grassy field with dandelions scattered about in all directions. The air was still chilled yet not a speck of snow in sight. She patted herself down, feeling the fabric of her clothes and the softness of her face and hands. It all felt real to her, but it also felt like a dream at the same time. She ran her fingers over the blades of grass when her she felt someone watching her. She looked around and spotted a woman dressed in an off white tunic that fell just below her mid thigh. The tunic was pulled over her right shoulder with a clasp that seemed to pin it in place. A leather belt wrapped around her waist with what looked like a thin quiver attached at her hip. On her arms were braces strapped to them with gloves that had the index and pinky finger exposed. She had what appeared to be thin leather straps wrapped around her calves, but with the grass it was difficult to tell if she was
She peered over to Dante's half-naked sleeping form beside her. She brushed her fingers through his dark hair and caressed his cheek. He stirred slightly, but did not wake as she crawled out of bed as slowly and quietly as possible. She stepped up to the mirror that occupied their hotel room and in the dim light of the moon that came in through the window, saw her reflection staring back at her. Willow ran her fingers over the fresh bite mark on her right breast Dante had left behind. She didn't feel fatigued like she normally did after he drank from her. It was strange, or perhaps with her new powers she inherited from Janice, she's able to withstand the effects of a Vampire's bite. She tugged on the longer strands of hair, her lips pursed as she mentally decides on a trim when her eyes shifted over to the white book on the nightstand beside her bed. The same book she always met with Hecate whenever she needed her wisdom. Except this time, she felt certain that this is where
