Gray eyes, short curly hair, tall, muscular—he looked like he stepped out of an action movie. Strong cheekbones, arms that screamed "secret agent," and that white tee and ripped jeans... I had to admit, Stefan Brown was nothing short of stunning.
“You’ll sit beside Ms. Wilson,” Mrs. Addison said, pointing right at me. My heart skipped a beat as Stefan’s eyes met mine, and I quickly looked away, focusing on the seat next to me.
“Really? He’s sitting next to you?” The blonde girl behind me muttered. “Ugh, I wish we could trade seats.”
I ignored her, trying to steady my nerves as I nervously tapped my pen against my notebook.
Mrs. Addison continued with the lesson. “The law of dynamics also indicates that internal forces do not change the amount of movement of the global system.”
But her words faded into the background as Stefan’s gaze never seemed to leave me.
“Damn, you’re staring a lot,” I whispered under my breath.
“Was I?” he whispered back, that teasing smirk curling at his lips. “That’s because you’re beautiful.”
I choked, my cheeks instantly flushing. I buried my face in my notebook, praying the ground would swallow me whole. Get a grip, Ellie. You have a boyfriend!
“Ms. Wilson!”
I snapped my head up, feeling all eyes on me. Mrs. Addison raised an eyebrow. “What are the three laws of dynamics?”
Ugh. Of course. Fortunately, I’d studied last night, so I straightened up and began, “The first law says an object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it. The second law states that force equals mass times acceleration. And the third law says that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
“Correct,” Mrs. Addison smiled, but then added, “Next time, try paying less attention to Mr. Brown.”
The class erupted in laughter. My face was burning, and I sank lower in my seat, wishing for the bell to ring.
---
When the bell finally rang, I exhaled a sigh of relief, practically bolting from my seat. Physics had never felt so long.
“Ms. Wilson,” Mrs. Addison called as the students filed out. I grabbed my textbook and walked toward her desk. Stefan was standing there with that same smug look on his face.
“This is Stefan Brown,” Mrs. Addison began. “Ms. Wilson, I’m assigning you to show him around the school and help him settle in. You’re the brightest student I have, so I trust he’ll be in good hands.”
Stefan flashed her a smile. “Thanks, Mrs. Addison.”
I nodded reluctantly. “I’ll show you around at lunch,” I said, avoiding his eyes as I brushed past him.
“Ms. Wilson,” his deep voice stopped me. I turned around.
“Yes?”
“What class do you have now?”
“Math,” I muttered, glancing at my watch.
“I have that too.”
“Well, I need to grab my notebook from my locker. Do you mind waiting?”
“Let’s go together,” he suggested, casually.
I shrugged, and we walked out of the classroom together, the silence between us only broken when he spoke again.
“Do you live around here?” he asked.
I gave him an amused glance. “I should be asking you that.”
He chuckled lightly. “Yeah, kind of. My family moved when I was a kid, but we’re back for now.”
“For now?” I raised an eyebrow.
“My dad will call us back when he’s ready,” he replied cryptically, his tone almost guarded.
---
I stopped at my locker and turned to face Stefan. “So, why are you suddenly back in town?”
“To look for my mom,” he said quietly, his gaze dropping.
Guilt hit me instantly for prying, so I turned back to my locker, grabbed my math textbook, and closed it with a soft click.
“Having fun?” came a voice that made my stomach churn. I turned to see Julia and her entourage smirking at me.
“What do you want, Julia?” I sighed, already tired of this.
Her eyes flicked to Stefan. “Oh, I see you’re talking to the new guy.” She leaned in close, her voice dripping with venom. “Does he know you have a boyfriend?”
My anger flared. “Stop messing with me,” I snapped, shoving her away.
To my horror, she stumbled back and landed hard on the floor.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to push you that hard!” I rushed toward her, extending my hand to help.
She slapped it away. “Get your filthy hands off me!” she spat, as her friends helped her up.
“Stop pretending it was an accident,” one of them yelled at me, glaring.
I blinked, taken aback. “What? I didn’t—”
“She’s such a pretentious bitch,” another girl sneered.
“Enough, girls,” Stefan’s voice rang out, firm and calm. “You saw what happened. She didn’t push her on purpose.”
He stepped toward me, offering me his hand. I took it gratefully. “Thanks,” I murmured.
Julia glared at me, fury in her eyes. “You don’t know her,” she spat at Stefan. “She’ll ruin your life, just like she ruined mine.”
With that, she stormed off, her entourage trailing behind her.
I turned to Stefan, offering a quiet, “Thank you.”
Our gazes locked for a moment, and the space between us seemed to shrink. My heart raced, and before I could stop myself, I stepped back, clearing my throat. “We’re late for class.”
He grinned. “Fifteen minutes late, actually. Let’s go.”

Cafeteria
Molly and Tyson returned to the table with their trays, their eyes full of curiosity.
“What?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“It’s all over school that you’re showing the new guy around,” Molly teased, her grin wide.
I rolled my eyes. “Oh, here we go again. Just like when I answered that random chemistry question last year.”
She grinned. “Well, you’re the genius, remember?”
I glanced around the cafeteria, spotting Stefan walking in with two others. Tyson noticed my gaze. “That’s Stefan, Aaron, and Wendy,” he said, pointing. “The boys are twins, and the girl’s his friend. Some say she’s his girlfriend.”
I turned back to my tray, trying to shake off the memory of almost kissing Stefan. My face burned, and I quickly cleared my throat.
“You okay?” Tyson asked, concern in his voice.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I muttered, not quite meeting his eyes.
“She’s pretty,” Molly commented about Wendy. “They’d make a cute couple.”
I noticed Stefan glancing back at me as they passed. I quickly looked away, focusing on my food.
“Your boyfriend’s here,” Molly whispered.
I glanced up to see Jake walking over, hockey stick in hand. “Hey, babe,” he said, sitting down beside me.
“How was class?” I asked, smiling.
“Not bad. Got practice after lunch?”
“Yeah. You?”
I shook my head. “No, I’m free.”
He leaned in, kissing my forehead. “Stay safe.”
As Jake headed out, Molly muttered under her breath, “Jerk.”
I shook my head. “Stop, he’s not a jerk.”
Just as I was about to take a bite of my burger, someone called out to me.
“Hey, Ms. Wilson.”
I turned to see Stefan pulling up a chair beside me.
“Hey, Mr. Brown,” I teased, grinning at him. Molly and Tyson both chuckled.
He smiled. “Alright, alright. Remember our deal this morning? I think I’m ready for that tour.”
I looked into his gray eyes, feeling that familiar flutter in my chest. “After lunch.”
“No, sweetheart,” he said with a playful smirk. “I’ve got a game after lunch.”
The way he said sweetheart made my heart race. I took a sip of my Coke to steady myself.
“What game?” I asked, trying to sound casual.
“Hockey,” he replied with a shrug.
I froze. “Wait, you’re playing against Jake?”
Stefan’s smile grew. “Yep.”
Tyson’s eyes widened. “I’m definitely watching that.”
“This is gonna be good,” Molly said with a grin. “I’m already a fan.”
I didn’t know how, but something told me this was just the beginning.
She's my mate -Stefan's pov- After the fight yesterday, Wendy had me down on a chair and helped me with the ice bag. She applied ointment and closed up the wound. "Do you want me to teach him a lesson?" She asked me. "No." I replied fully aware of what she would do to him. Wendy is highly trained in the town. Master G insisted she joined us on this mission and she's already thinking of killing. She's the first daughter of Lady Ursula, the greatest dark witch of our kind. You might wonder, do witches exist?. Yes, they do and my mom is one of them, it's a long story though. Aaron came in with his crossbow and dropped it in front of us. "Found something?" I asked. He sat on a chair opposite mine and shrugged. "Nothing. Are you sure we are in the right school?. Cos this school is full of shit." I laughed. "My mother never makes mista
I am obsessed. ~Ellie's pov~ My gown torn above my knee, tied on a tree, I felt immense pain weakening my body, I could not move. I wanted to scream but could not. I could not use my power either, the more I tried to, the more the pain hit me. I looked, saw an older looking man in front of me. Stefan stands beside me, right in front me. The man handled the sword of Goujian, the oldest sword ever made to him. "If you want to see your mother again, kill her Stefan." My eyes instantly changed from gold to red and then a bright blue. I fought, tried my best to shatter the chains but I couldn't. Someone was holding back my powers. Stefan stepped forward, walking slowly to me with his eyes fixedly on me. I shivered when I saw him draw out the sword from its sheath. "You can't do this, Stefan. You are destroying your life, Stefan. You can not k
"Tell me. How did it happen?." I bent down on the desk. She pulled me up and slowly held out my hands in hers. A worried look on her face with her ear pecking up to hear from me. "I don't know how it happened." I finally said. She breathed out and nodded. "It's bound to happen." I raised my brows. "I mean..Stefan's handsome, everyone wishes to have him." She said, I rolled my eyes. "I'm not everyone. I just feel something different for him. It's a sort of..we are made for each other. Like there's really something about him that draws me near to him. I know I barely know him but I feel like I've known him all my life." I explained. "I think you should stay away from him. I know I like him but not to the point of obsession. Please stay clear until you are able to control your feelings." She advised me. I concurred.
Tongue tied.I have just delivered a very long speech to these people to see reasons with me about not being the culprit, all to no avail. I kept quiet and waited patiently for Molly to come with my laptop. "Miss Wilson, you said you had your laptop with you." Said the principal. "No. I said my best friend had gone to my house to bring it.""Don't you think you're wasting a little bit of our time?." Dean asked. I looked at him, very angry that he was taking things too far, I mean if he wanted his daughter to go in my place to the spelling bee competition, he would have told me and I won't mind backing out, how am I not sure he wasn't the one trying to frame me up?. Such a pathetic man!!Molly walked in and looked at me. She had my laptop with her. I was very happy, at least they will believe I had no hand in stripping money from the fund. Chloe took the laptop to the principal."This lapt
: She attacked us.I sat, bent down on a desk and reminiscing on what just happened in front of Stefan. Molly had gone to get me something relieving to drink. She comes back later on to give me a glass of warm milk."Thank you very much, Molly. I don't know what I would have done without you." She grabbed my hand. "What are friends for?." I smiled and squeezed her palm lightly. I sighed. "I'm gonna miss you tomorrow." I said, "It's not like you are traveling, we're still in the same school, I'm just afraid Jackson won't take it lightly with you.""Oh. True. Remember he was kicked in there because of me." She added.I laughed. "I know. He was such a stubborn boy. We've had rest since he left." She stated and I shook my head. "And now, I'm gonna join him there. What would he think?.""No, we should probably ask what they would do to find you there." Said M
Time to move.My mom is standing by the door, looking at me as I come closer to the front porch of the mansion. I had forgotten about my punishment with the school board after my subtle encounter with Stefan back at the car. I stood in front of her, waiting to be interrogated before finally let into the house. "Ellie." She called me. "I absolutely think you should leave your school.""What do you mean?" My eye brows furrow, confusion washes over me. The only sound being heard was the continuous tapping of her fingers at the door. "Why would you say so?.""Child," She strode in front me, staring at me with worried eyes. Sometimes, I feel she was hiding something from me, but you never can tell. "It has become dangerous." I moved away from her. "Mom. This is the fifth time I'm changing the location of study and this.." I pointed at her, "And this flimsy excuse is what I get. What exactly is the problem?"
: I met a Siren.I walked into the messy detention class and everyone's attention focused on me. I looked around and found my supposed seat, somewhere I'd like to sit, i scrutinized the seat and scoffed.I smell a prank. My table had no legs neither is the chair. I noticed that once i sank my butt in that chair, it would instantly gum to my butt. I heard a cleared throat behind me and i turned to see Mr Alan. "Find a seat." He ordered.I looked at where she was supposed to stand and teach, a bucket of paint placed up the ceiling with a rope tied down the window. "Take my advice, avoid the front corners of the classroom." I told him and started going to sit in between two guys, Jackson and his friend to their utmost surprise.I was still glaring back at Jackson when I heard a shout from Mr Alan. I gasped when I saw Mr Alan covered with crimson red paint and everyone burst into laughter except me
: At the diner.~Stefan's POV~I felt bad for Wendy. Wendy and I have been best friends since childhood. She was one of the few people who made my childhood memorable. Until one day, we decided to take it deeper, if I had known, I wouldn't have agreed to her first proposal. "Why don't we have fun and I'll back out when you find your mate?."Haha, that was hilarious. We do things that mate does for each other and every moment we shared with each other was breathtaking, not until I found my way to WLHS.The very first moment I stepped my foot into the building, I felt her. It was just like every moment everyone waited for and I knew my life wasn't gonna be the same anymore.Ever since Wendy found out, it had been hell for her, Wendy is not someone you caution, you use action. Wendy tried every possible means to kill my mate. I was surprised after cautioning her oneday abo
Happy ending."Alright. I do not want to bore you with my stories, I'm gonna get straight to the point." He pointed at Noami. "Little wench, thinking you can kill me?. Elysia tried and failed, taking after your mom and searching for me all your life." "I'll fucking kill you. I'll fucking cut your throat and stab your dead body multiple times." Noami spat out angrily. "Take her away." He ordered his men. The men started coming toward me. "Don't touch me. Don't you…" They released the bind and dragged me out of the seat, Stefan was lunging to pull out but he couldn't, he was damn weak. "You'll watch your Abbey die.." He yelled at Noami while I screamed. "Shut up!!." He warned and I clasped my lips shut. ~Beyond the border, mom was tied up on the tree with a man standing beside her with a gun. My gown torn above my knee, tied to a tree, I felt immense pain weakening my body, I could not move. I wanted to scream but could not. I could not use my power either, the more I tried to,
Camillia of mortality. The door banged open and a man walked in. I was staring at him in near wonder. He was...familiar. For a moment, I wasn't sure what it was that struck me as so familiar. He was tall and dangerous looking, but as I looked at him, I noticed scars lining parts of his flesh across his features as if he was well-versed in fighting. His face was dark and serious. It was when I noticed his other features that i realized what made him so familiar. His hair was short and blonde, curled up at the end. His eyes were grey to blue, strong cheekbones that were near mirror images of Stefan. Just that he was older and looked to be in his late forty. This was Stefan's father, the man who had wanted to kill me. "You must have remembered me. I did you some good anyway. The vampire prince who had disturbed you all your life. Well, no one can hurt my boys and go free." He finished strongly, with
Shocked to the bone. "Where are the others?."Stefan looked up and of course, my heart quickened slightly when I saw what he was wearing. Just a plain apple green button- down, dark blue jeans and his black converse, nothing unusual or elegant, but hell he looks damn good. His dirty blonde hair was untidy, his grey-blue eyes bored into mine."They're training out. I've been waiting for you to wake up." He replied tossing a pancake on the plate."Smells nice." I mumbled and started walking towards him."Yeah but it isn't for you." He said,I cocked my brows,"What do you mean?.""I'm not cooking for you. This is for me.""Are you kidding me?. Give me that!." I shouted and he teleported to the other side of the kitchen. My eyes searched on the table and didn't find the plate of t
: Saved the Sirens."And only you knew about this?." I asked her. She shook her head negatively."Few of the townsmen knew. Now that you're in charge, and the princess is missing, I decided to let you know." She said,"What was her last instruction on the site?." I asked her."She hasn't given an order.""Why don't we start taking people to the site?. I mean the vampires could decide to invade the lands and you know what it means.." Julia suggested. We both nodded affirmatively to her suggestion."While we move, get men to start arranging people in crowds, we are moving now." I instructed. Turning to the other men, "let's go."~I didn't want to risk any of my men's lives. We were no match for the hunters either. That was why I picked the strongest team to follow me inside. The security has doubled and no one
: The war."We're losing, the vampires have taken over the coast. I also heard the dark witches are helping them." The messengers reported.."Keep your eyes on the vampires. While I talk to your father." Mom said darkly, looking at the twins as if they were their father and disappeared out of the room.We had been standing around the table, the war already broke out and the vampires had accommodated other species against us. I had wished to leave the castle but none of them wanted me to move an inch. I am the chosen one, people look up to me for protection but the white witches guarded me down like their life depended on them.Jake was worse than I thought. He would fight against the other clans and make them his cohorts by force or you die. I heard he wiped off the Wendigo. Wendigos are very powerful creatures with the same strength level as an Alpha Werewolf. Something that makes
~Previously~~Previously~Royal princess and Stefan Brown."I see war, in the future your life depends on your mate. It is her love that can save you from her.""How?,""Who?." I questioned."Have you wondered how a human could be this powerful, fearless and deadly?." She could be referring to Noami. Only Noami's strength had marvelled me. She survived the silver bullet, she is beyond human."I think you know what I am talking about. Think.., fearless, bold, dangerous and keep to her words…""She is an Uran?." I asked."She is Ophelia, keeper of the moon."Brief introduction of Uran.Urans are humans, born as keepers. They are bold, fearless and deadly. They keep to their promises till death. Supernaturals fear them greatly, they don't s
A heartbreaking news.~Stefan's pov~I'm so angry that my mate has to go through a lot. All I wanted now was to take away her pain even if it meant killing the only person that traumatized her.Standing in front of the royal princess's office, I opened the door and walked in. Here, she stood quite a distance away from me."I know you would come." She said,I started walking further but stopped in the middle of the large office. "You know everything, why don't you start by telling me what really happened to my mate?." I asked. She scoffed at first and then it turned to a real long laugh. She turned to look at me."Why do you think that I always disagree with you?." I shrugged…"Because you're my mother who didn't take me as your son." I replied. She nodded, "Accurate. I gave birth to you b
Birthday wishes II."It seems that everyone knows you turned a year older except me. In my eyes, you are exactly the way that you were when I met you for the first time – stunning and gorgeous. Happy birthday, Elena...” Cali was the first to hand me a gift. "Thank you," I smiled at her and opened the box. It was a silver wrist watch, much bigger than the one kept on top of the drawer.“Congratulations honey! You have circled the Sun again and it’s your Birthday! I wish you the best, and a seven-course dinner tonight." Ava said and her mate handed me two boxes."Sorry Ava. We have plans tonight." Stefan said, giving her a glare. I pinched him and he let out a yelp and ran out of the bed. "Thanks Ava. I would love to eat them all. Yum! Yum!!." We laughed, and I opened the box to see a beautiful red dinner gown. "Wow, it's beautiful.." I mumbled and hugged her. "Thank you."&
Birthday wishes."Oh come on. I thought you would tell each other things.." Ava said disappointedly."Okay. I'm very angry with you now." Cali shouted and got up. Quickly, I caught her arm before she could move an inch. "I'm sorry I didn't have time to tell you about it. You know I would do that if I had the chance. There were things lurking over, so many troubles, thoughts or even Stefan himself would make you forget all."I explained..She turned, smiled and sat back down beside me. I knew she wouldn't be angry with me for a long time. "So we found out that Stefan was my foster mother's son. It was like the moon goddess was shipping us into siblings rather than the actual soulmates." I joked."I know right?. What if..the moon goddess asks you to reject Stefan as a mate and so you two can become siblings.?" Cali asked, making Ava laugh. She's so unbelievable."A
