Amelia hadn’t seen any single ray of light ever since she was taken from the forest, by her captures. Their leader had a striking resemblance with Adelard. She had been locked up in what seemed like a dungeon with very little food and water. She had formed an acquaintance with the cold floor as she hardly ever stands up. Her other companion was the candlelight that stood meters away and the only thing separating both of them was the metal bars and the chains that confined her to a single place. Her mind had found a little relief with the candle, which made her believe that as long as the candle was still lit even in such a damp condition, then there was a possibility that she could make it out of the dungeon and for that reason, amidst the starvation and dehydration, Amelia believed she could survive.Soon she began to hear shuffles of feet approaching the dungeon, she began to struggle to move with the hope that she could break from the chains so she could run before they approached.
Cole looked befuddled when he was told to cut the prisoner down. Turstin was sure that Cole did not mean harm, all he wanted was to ask questions and get to the end of the matter. But Turstin sees that the captured prisoner looks innocent for the moment and in this situation, she was either very stubborn or maybe she was speaking the truth. The chains were removed from Amelia's hands as she fell to the floor. Turstin moved towards her and stared at her fragile, scrawny body as she lay almost unconscious on the ground in her undergarments. He looked at some of the men that stood at the far end of the room, with looks of disorientation, as they all stared at me. "Bring the prisoner food, she needs to be fed," Turstin said, referring to any of them. One of the men left the torture room and came back some minutes with bread, a bowl of soup and water. He placed it in front of the prisoner who immediately lifted her skinny body from the floor. Amelia’s hazel eyes were lifeless as they stare
From Adelard to Turstin, Amelia thought as Adelard’s look-alike was like jumping from a frying pan into the fire. Just within the few hours she had seen and communicated with him, he instilled so much fear and pain into her. In her new cell, she heard squealing sounds, like two rats, next to where she was seated, which made her jolt up, barefooted, moving to the other side of the cell, leaving her previous side to the rats. The floor was wet but she cared less as she sat in her undergarments, looking around the dimly lit cell. She took her gaze down to her arm and saw the ugly scald on her flesh coupled with a gruelling ache that she felt. As she sat, Amelia recalled what Turstin had said, ". . .Place her in a cell and don't do anything to her until I'm back." Amelia thought that at least his words made his men stop torturing her. Although she considered the possibilities of what could be of her when he eventually came back. Would she be killed? Decapitated, with her head, hung on
Amelia, the scrawny lady whose body and soul attracted Turstin and his wolf even though she wasn't his mate. She made his heart thump and constrict against its cage, she made his wolf feel aroused in a way that he'd never felt before. The look in her eyes earlier when she was being treated made him feel an uncouth swarm of emotions within his whole being. And the burn on her arm that he had caused made him despise himself a little. Turstin knew that her story, just like her, was heartbreaking and it infuriated him more to know that the antagonist in her story was none other than his brother, Adelard. He busted through the door of the room where she was in and headed straight to the throne room where Turstin was certain that Sorren his beta will be. He was talking with one of the high-ranking guards. "Sorren," Turstin called to him. "Is there a problem, Turstin ?" He questioned, dismissing the guard as he got closer to him. "Have you gotten to know why she was in the Murky forest?"
As the horses galloped elegantly towards the village, they moved with pride, like they knew an Alpha was on one of them, and maybe this lady that was beside him was his Luna. Perhaps these horses will think so because close to every King there is a queen, but their story was far different from that. Amelia thought about her different story from what she believed the horses might think about as they walked. Amelia wished she could tell the horses; that she came into the city of Helores as a prisoner and the man who captured her rides beside her. What baffled her was that the wicked man, who had left this huge scar on her hand soon became affectionate towards her, and how it increased when he heard of her story. She was not used to being treated nicely by anyone other than her father and her late mother. She began to think about her lovely dad, what she heard about him wasn’t fair, though she still doesn’t believe Turstin, maybe they were just toiling with her heart because this does
Through the path to Amelia's village, she continued to reminisce on how interesting her life was with her father, Amelia felt her world coming to an end, with no light at the end of her tunnel. She was certain that she had passed the light in her tunnel, for what was left in her life was darkness, darkness and darkness. She remembered when she looked at her parents, joking as they clung to each other while laughing hysterically, Amelia believed the whole village could hear them “How did you guys meet she asked?”. Amelia’s father laughed so loud, while her mother was a little bit silent.“Mum, did I ask the wrong question?” Amelia fixed her pitiful gaze on her mother. “No, you didn’t my love” She answered as she placed her hands on Amelia's curly hair. “Let's say, your father was the only good thing that happened entirely in that year” she added“Wow” Her father let out a big sigh“I am curious to know,” the inquisitive Amelia said“How did you like the city of Helores, when you fir
As Turstin rode alongside Amelia, he began to think, if his father had bought the story of Sorren being sick, or why they decided to go out themselves to get the medicine. Turstin couldn't help to think that perhaps his father was rather consumed by the excitement of his evening stroll. The walk has become an important part of his life. After all, it gives him the satisfaction that his wife is by his side whenever he goes around places they use to walk together, sometimes you hear him laughing and chatting with the wind.Turstin knew that his strong father whose name brings fear to everyone that isn’t a werewolf and makes the werewolves feel safe had become the shadow of himself since his mother, Zafira passed away“We have to go through the Murky forest,” Turstin said as he looked towards Amelia who was far-fetched in her thoughts. “Why is that?” she asked. There was a clear presence of sadness deep in her eyes.“The herbs, remember?” answered, raising his eyebrows. Lowering her he
The surprised Turstin couldn't believe his eyes. This can’t be, there is no possible way that woman could have made it back and beat us to the town, we are on horses and she went the opposite way. Turstin thought how he was right about the improper coincidence of that old woman being in that village. He looked at Amelia and it was clear she was quizzing with her mind also. “Hey, Lady,” he said. She looked at him, straight into his eyes, wondering why he had called her that way. The old lady looked back at Amelia and hugged “I am sorry for your loss” she said, as she began to sob alongside Amelia. Turstin knew that Amelia was consumed by her need to see her father and his final resting place, but he was not going to let his curiosity go to bed. “Hey” he repeated. The old lady looked at Turstin again with an unapologetic sigh “What?” was all she said.“Have you gone out of the town today?” he asked.“No, why are you asking?” she answered.“I have been at home all day, why are you aski
Turstin and Melnyk had a fall out about Amelia's presence in the palace. Melnyk had said the worst things to his son, in front of Adelard which had provoked Turstin to the core. Turstin decided to visit a place that he had not visited kn a while, which was the pub. Everything wasn't normal and not now when the whole world feels like a burden to his chest. The liquor wasn't helping and not even the voices of the people in the pub. Everybody stared at him before they left and it was beginning to get on his nerves but who really cares, definitely not him and not now when his mind is filled with many more pressing issues. Turstin knew what he must do but for now, the bottle in his hand was much more appealing. "One more please" he yelled in between his vocals"Yes my Alpha" The bartender andwered The night was as shameful as his present state. Even lifting his legs was more painful than having a father who chose not to have any empathy towards another specie, the moon gave him unnecess
Amelia was still in the dark not knowing what was the faith of her baby, butTurstin had been there for her all this while and she realized that she cared so much for Turstin, she did. Amelia thought about how she couldn't afford to lose him. She believed her happiness lies in his hands, irrespective of all this Lydia's trauma. Amelia was about to go to meet Turstin in his room last night when she saw Lady Lydia knock on his door and later be drawn into his room. She felt heartbroken because she also wanted him beside her. Amelia wanted to sleep and see Turstin beside her. She had made up her mind that she loved him and right now she might be late because she was about to lose him because of destiny. Amelia couldn't help but to wish she had not found out about Karak's princess. Maybe if she had stayed in her room the other day, she would have never known of Lydia"Amelia, you still haven't eaten your food" Belle tapped Amelia's shoulder. Amelia hadn't even noticed her presence. "I a
Turstin had walked up to see Amelia, she was still on a bed resting, everyone was curious to know if her baby would survive. The Physician had told them that baby was still in there but she was not sure the baby was still alive she had concluded with a "Time will tell" Sorren, Cole and Turstin had vowed to take down Joe because he was the reason for all that had transpired. A few days after, Sorren and Turstin had finally found Joe, they wondered how he came lurking into Helores. His days were finally over, they thought "Don’t lie to you animal” Sorren Shouted at the man’s face. “You were their informer, and you better confess, because I want to hear the words from your mouth” He cupped his face up. A slap landed on the man. “Take a break” Turstin pulled Sorren off the man“What's your name?” Turstin smiled. “Jo... Joe is my name, my Alpha lord” “It's your grace you imbecile” Sorren shouted from the end of the room. “Look at me... Are you the one that informed Adelard about Amel
We do not choose our destiny, sometimes it comes knocking on our doors and we have no option but to open the doors for it. A young boy who grew up loving his father and admired him for who he was. The bond between the boy and his father grew stronger after his mother left home because she believed his father did not have much time for her, and he was found present in almost all the brothels that the bubbling city of Helores had to offer. This boy once asked his father why his mother always cried at night and he said"My boy, imagine how it would feel like to eat a single specific food for the rest of your life, How would you feel?""Angry and I will get tired of the food Father" "That is what your mother wants me to be doing for the rest of my life" the father had answered. Since then, the young boy felt no pity towards his mother every time he heard her late at night wailing as she waited for her husband to come home. She would smell other women's colognes on his body but wouldn't d
Maria, the Olga witch had been in the castle of Helores as she switched from one form to the other as she kept watch of her target, the Amelia that was in Coma. She had found a deserted room in the physician's chambers in the great castle, and that was where she had stayed for a couple of days. Her goal was one thing and one thing alone, and that was to kill the baby that Amelia was carrying. Though Maria had her doubts that the baby would survive she was not ready to take any chances, because if the baby survives, it might ruin her whole plan and which was to destroy the castle of Helores. She had thought deeply about everything she wanted to do, and she was very impressed with the way things were going according to her plan. The whole plan was visible; she would eliminate every blood related to the great sage. And watch from the side as to how werewolves will fight for power and eventually end up destroying everything. For that reason, Maria had decided to make the mission of killin
Adelard sat on his throne, along with the lycanthropes that were his guards. He could not stop smiling at the conversation he had with Lydia the other day. He came to realize that words were not enough to describe the amazing creature called Lydia. Apart from her mesmerizing beauty, Lydia was also an intriguing fellow to chat with and for that reason, Adelard had been replaying his conversation with Lydia since his last trip to Karak."Welcome to my humble abode, Your highness" she had said with a now "Thank you very much, princess Lydia" Adelard struggled to bring the words out of his mouth because he was already spellbound by her body figure"Father, you called for me," she said as she looked toward Lord Baku."Yes, I wanted you to meet the Alpha lord of Pikes and the son of Melnyk, the great sage," Lord Baku said."Besides this food is delicious," Adelard said as he took in a morsel of the food that was placed before him. Lydia smiled and sat opposite Adelard. The dining table was
"Why will Turstin be this reckless? How would he throw everything I have struggled for down the drain? He does not respect his mother to put a human in her chamber. It is so ridiculous that I never expected this from him. And to think that I even planned on making him the great sage. Is this how he would throw everything for a human? What kind of love is that? I am deeply disappointed in Turstin. I thought the essence of giving birth to children is so that we could rest, then why is all this happening? A mare Human in my palace! Peter a mare human" Melnyk continued to show his frustration on what his son had done, he has been quiet since the day he found out what his eldest son had done, and for that reason, Peter the Bulldog had waited for the great sage to rant about everything that was in his heart. Even though he had started to regret ever letting that happen. Melnyk had been emptying his heart for over an hour, and sometimes he repeated the same thing he had said earlier on. Pet
A day before, the city of Karak was visited by the Alpha lord of Pikes, Adelard. He had gotten a welcoming but it was not as grand as that of his brother. This was one of the things that Adelard struggled with. He was certain that his people and werewolves of other kingdoms do not give him the respect he deserved. Adelard was not to let that bother him because he had a goal in mind and when he finally becomes the great sage, other people and cities will bow to his name. As Adelard and his entourage walked into the city of pikes, he had only one thing on his mind and that was to see the princess of the great city of Karak. He hoped she reached the description that everyone had been hyping since he began to welcome Maria's suggestion of getting a mate. Alpha Lord Baku was the first to welcome the son of the great sage. As Adelard walked into the throne room, the first person he saw was Lord Baku he was majestically sitting on his throne. Lord Baku stood up from his chair and said "I we
Turstin and Sorren were finally allowed to see Amelia who was still in a coma. It brought tears and a heavy heart towards Turstin as he looked at the Human that he had feelings for; laying on the bed with a slim chance of her survival. He hated his brother because of what he had done to Amelia, the poor Human did not deserve what life was throwing at her. He wished there was a way he could alleviate her suffering, but he was also struggling, internally he believed that the spell the Olga witch had cast on him was beginning to take effect, he had intended to tell Amelia when they were away from the city of Helores but, as usual, his brother had ruined that moment again. Mentally, Turstin had a lot of things going on in his head but the major debacle was 'What will happen to Amelia when she finally wakes up?' All the people that were close to Amelia at the moment, decided to make a schedule on who's turn it was to look after Amelia It was agreed between all parties that, Turstin and
