Claire's POV

I watched my little sister as she slept. I couldn't believe Jennifer was in heat. I had heard about werewolves going into heat. It was something that was unheard of now because, these days, most mates fucked each other before completing the process.

When the Pack Doctor said Jennifer and King Lucien might be Truly Fated Mates and what that meant, it made me wonder if they were. Jennifer seemed to feel the bond more than I did when I met my Mates. She could sense he was her Mate before she turned sixteen. I had a big feeling she was right, and I didn't know how to feel about them being Truely Fated Mates. Jennifer is my little sister and too young for all this Mate stuff.
