Chapter 25: The Gala Part 1

I watch Mei giggle as she tries another dress and twirls in front of the mirror. She is back to that first personality she had when I met her. I am not judging her, I am happy she allowed herself to be natural near me.

"I am staying with the pink one. You should wear another pink one so we can be like twins!" She laughs and I chuckle shaking my head.

"Maybe I like being different," I reply.

She smiles and nods. "Of course, you are the Luna now. I am sorry."

I shake my head and walk to her, resting my hands on her shoulders. "You have as much right to be with him as I do, if not more. You have been with him through so much hardship; I am thankful you were at his side. And I am honored you are still by his side and mine."

She smiles, a glint of naughtiness hints at the possibility she was testing me. But I don't care, I hug her and feel her arms around me too. She might have two faces to show, but I have seen both and I love them equally.
